Baahubali 2: The Conclusion after shattering several box office records, has created history in Indian cinema by crossing the 1000 mark. This SS Rajamouli directorial is the first Indian movie to have touched the 1000 crore mark. The movie opened to tremendous responses right from it’s initial day; the CG works and the sets were well appreciated by the audience.

One character who stood apart in the first part was Avanthika played by Tamannaah Bhatia. She was the one who had compelled and forced Prabhas to climb the mountain with her divine beauty. But in the second part her role was completely minimized by the director.

Most of the scenes in which Tamannaah was seen were poorly done by the Visual FX department. This was the main reason why the director had to cut off her scenes mercilessly.She had even learnt horse riding and martial arts prior to the shoot but was of no use.

Baahuabli 2: The Conclusion released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi languages had attained humongous response globally. This action fantasy drama is funded by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni.

Basil Joseph, another young talent Mollywood had received entered the industry through Kunjiramayanam. The comical spoof movie had elements in it’s own kind and comprised of a variety making.

His next Godha starring Tovino Thomas was all set for release this 12th but the crew has now informed that the movie will delay for another week and would hit theaters by 19th due to the availability of top class theaters.

Basil had thanked his audience for the enormous support given for the movie and their patient waiting​. His Facebook post read “Hello friends, First of all thanks to each one of you for your support till now for our movie Godha , we know so many of you are waiting for it to hit the screens as soon as possible. We are also so excited to share our little baby with you all”

“Unfortunately on May 12th, we didn’t get good theatres both in quality and numbers, especially screens with Dolby Atmos,due to the epic Bahubali. We are not embarrassed of it and no complaints ,as we understand the effort of so many people and cost of such a movie and it should get the reach it deserves and everyone should watch it too. So we are pushing the release date of Godha to May 19th , for a better and wider release with more than 100 screens in Kerala. We once again thank you all for your patience and support and so sorry for making you all wait for another week. Hope you all understand and stand by us for the best” he published.

Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi plays the female lead and Renji Panicker also portrays a pivotal character as Tovino’s father in the flick.

Godha is written by Rakesh Mandoti and Shaan Rahman composes the tracks. Vishnu Sarma cranks the camera and Aanandam, Uriyadi fame Abhinav Sunder Nayak is in charge of the editing department. The film is funded by Mukesh R Mehta under the banner of E4Entertainment.

Sai Pallavi though being a Tamilian had debuted​ as an actress through Mollywood. She had played opposite Nivin Pauly in Alphonse Puthren’s Premam which had took vibrant audience from both Kerala and Tamil Nadu in hand.

Now the actress has currently signed her second in Telugu, she will be seen playing opposite Eecha star Nani. Nani had done a mesmerizing performance in SS Rajamouli’s previous Eecha and is always noted for that performance.

Sai who has completed her first movie in Telugu titled Fida and it was during the shooting session she was signed in for her next. A unit source said “The movie will be officially launched this weekend. For quiet a long while, the makers were on the lookout for a female lead for this project. When Dil Raju, the producer saw rushes of Fida, he had immediately signed Sai Pallavi​ for this flick”

The movie titled MCA also stars Bhoomika Chawla in a pivotal role. It is directed by Venu Sriram and is all set to begin shoot.

Baahubali 2 becomes the first ever Indian movie to cross the 1000 crore mark

Indian cinema’s latest sensation Baahubali has taken the worldwide box office by storm. After shattering all pre-existing collection records for an Indian movie, Baahuabli 2: The Conclusion has become the first ever Indian movie to cross the 1000 crore mark. This is truly an historical moment in the Indian cinema arena.

Baahuabli 2: The Conclusion was released on April 28 amidst unprecedented hype thanks to the gargantuan success of the first part in the Baahubali saga, released in 2015. The sequel was released in around 9000 screens around the world with a whopping 6500 screens in India alone. It was released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala confirmed the news about Baahubali entering the 1000 crore club through his official Twitter handle. He tweeted,

“With ₹ 800+ Cr in India and ₹ 200+ Cr in Overseas, #Baahubali2 becomes the 1st Indian movie to do ₹ 1000 Cr @ WW BO..
#1000croreBaahubali.”

The movie had collected Rs 735 crore in the domestic market and Rs 180 crore in the overseas market. Ramesh Bala tweeted the figures,

“#Baahubali2 8 Days WW BO (Final) #India : Nett – 580 Crs Gross – ₹735 Crs Overseas: Gross – 180 Crs Total – 915 Crs.”

The Hindi version of Baahubali alone has made around Rs 266 crores and is expected to cross the Rs 300 crore mark very soon.

This SS Rajamouli is the final part in the Baahubali saga. Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Naseer essayed pivotal characters. This big budget fantasy action drama is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner of Arka Works.

Pranav Mohanlal is all set to act in his Jeethu Joseph directorial. The actor earlier had done remarkable performances in Punarjani and Onnaman as a child artist but this will be the first time he will be seen in a throughout role.

Jeethu Joseph had earlier used him as an assistant director for his Tamil remake of Drishyam : Papanasam and Dileep starrer Life of Josutty. The director had recently commented that cinema was not Pranav’s dream but something even bigger, but Jeethu was not interested in revealing it.

We have now reports that the movie from the duo will hit screens this year. The flick is touted to be a thriller filled in with many elements from the usual Jeethu movies. We also get to know that the storyline and plot is somewhat related to his previous Memories. His last two movies Oozham and Life of Josutty were disappointments at the box office, so this one is much crucial for the director.

Pranav had earlier undergone Parkour training for the movie and had got in news many a times for the same. The director had also earlier clarified that the buzz spreading regarding the movie being dropped are completely fake.

Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Jacobinte Swargarajyam released last year was one among the biggest blockbusters ever released. Based loosely on the happenings of a Malayali family in the Gulf the film had received excellent reviews. The film had also produced a handful of talented newbies to our industry.

One among them being Reba Monica John who had played Nivin Pauly’s love intrest Chippy. Though her role in the movie was minimized, the character she had portrayed requires special mention.

After her debut movie alongside Nivin she has now joined the sets of Domin D’silva debut directorial Paippinchuvattile Pranayam. She will be seen opposite Neeraj Madhav in this comedy entertainer. Neeraj who had mostly played charecter appearances is having a role change for the first time.

The movie is funded by KV Vijayakumar after the success of Dulquer Salmaan’s 100 Days of Love. The current shoot schedule for this Bijibal musical is progressing in Kochi. More details regarding the movie will be out soon.

Mia who had entered the Mollywood industry in 2010 had gifted a handful of hits to the film lovers. She had done notable performances in movies such as Chetayees, Red Wine, Vishudhan, Cousins, Mr. Fraud, etc.

For a while Mia has been spotted playing cameo roles especially in the southern industry. She had also done a prominent role in the latest Mammootty starrer The Great Father.

The Sherlock Toms team have officially confirmed Mia as one among the two heroines in the film. She will be playing opposite to Biju Menon alongside Srinda Arhaan. The shoot for the movie will commence tomorrow in Kochi.

The flick is visualised by Shafi whose previous Dileep – Mamta starrer Two Countries turned out to be a huge hit. The story is by Najeem Koya and Sachy is the scriptwriter. Salim Kumar, Rafi, Aju Varghese and Vijayaraghavan are also doing important roles in the flick. The movie is expected to hit theaters this Onam season.

Dulquer Salmaan’s new release CIA aka Comrade in America had hit theaters yesterday. The movie right from it’s first show had opened to mixed review reports.

The fans had huge expectations as the youth icon was seen teaming up with the stylish director Amal Neerad for the first time, but proved facts tell us that the director has not completely put in any of his versatile abilities for this half-political flick.

The first day witnessed a huge rush in theaters mainly to see the collaboration of both the men. As the official trade report is out now, we get to know that it has gained Rs. 3.09 crores from the Kerala Box Office. This is an above average collection report reffering to Dulquer’s film market.

The movie is also bankrolled by Amal Neerad in the banner of his Amal Neerad Productions. Shibin Francis pens the screenplay and Gopi Sundar is the music director. Apart from Dulquer; Karthika Muraleedharan, Siddique, Soubin Shahir, Chandini Sreedharan, Dileesh Pothen, etc. also portray vital characters.

The Bollywood industry from earlier times have been ruled by the three Khans; namely Shahrukh Khan, Salmaan Khan and Aamir Khan. The three are respected for whom they are; but now Aamir Khan has come up with a statement telling he is not eligible to be compared with the others.

“I am not a Superstar, I am not an ace actor. I am not worthy to be compared with Shahrukh or Salmaan. Wherever I go what I find is that no one noticing me, then how come can people call me a Superstar” Aamir questions.

“I am just a waiter anywhere I go, there is no sense in comparing me with Amitabhji, Shahrukh or Salmaan. They get much honour and respect but not me” the Dangal star added.

“I never do any of my movies relaying on the market. Shahrukh and Salmaan have ample stardom and are capable of doing any superstar roles. I select my roles according to the messages those movies open up to the public, and that’s why I always abide role changes” he said.

The Satyamev Jayate host known for breaking his own all time blockbuster records in Bollywood had opened his mind to a Malayalam monthly magazine recently.

Guppy star Chethan Jayalal has passed his 10th boards with flying colours. The child artist had recently received the prestigious State award for his versatile performance in the Tovino starrer Guppy recently. A small party was set up for the young graduate on the sets of movie Sukhamano Daveede where he plays alongside Bhagat Manuel.

The first scheduled board exam happened to be on the next day after he was honoured with the state award. Sanskrit being the subject, Chethan had a tough time that night revising the portions amidst the heavy pour of phone calls and messages. Surprisingly, out of the two subjects the star had got A+, one is Sanskrit!

Sukhamano Daveede is the debut directorial venture of duo Anup Chandran and Raj Mohan. Krishna Poojappura writes the screenplay and dialogues. Priyanka Nair noted for her roles in movies such as Jalam and Ivdem Swargamanu is playing a teacher in this movie. The movie is bankrolled by Tomy Kiriyanthan under the banner Pappi Creations.
