Though Kabali could not live up to the expectations of the superstar’s hardcore fans, it was acclaimed for his performance. Kabali was not the usual mass masala movie, it was a more intense drama that had the best acting moments of Rajinikanth in recent memory.

Impressed by the three film old Pa Ranjith’s conviction and his knowledge over the craft, Rajinikanth signed another project with him. The superstar’s son-in-law and actor Dhanush will be producing this movie under his banner Wunderbar Films.

Currently, the pre production works for the movie are going on in full swing. Pa Ranjith is developing the screenplay while simultaneously scouting for locations. The team are planning to shoot the movie in location like Chennai and Mumbai. The movie is expected to go on floors in May this year.

Lyca Productions is funding this sci-fi thriller which is being made on a whopping 450 crores. This is by far the most expensive Indian movie, which is currently under production.

Apart from Rajinikanth, 2.0 also stars Bollywood superstar Akhsay Kumar and Amy Jackson in major roles. Akshay Kumar will be seen as the antagonist in the movie. Sudhanshu Pandey, Malayali actor Kalabhavan Shajon, Adil Hussain and Riyaz Khan are also part of the cast. The movie is scheduled to hit screens for Diwali this year.

Recently, reports were doing the rounds in social medias about superstars Mohanlal, Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan starring in SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Mahabharata.

However, sources close to the director have dismissed all the reports. The director in a recent interview has said that the movie can only be made in a span of five to six years. If big stars come on board, they would have to move aside their dates for 5 to 6 years without any other engagement.
He also added that he will have to create new stars for the film, like how they did in the popular English TV show Game of Thrones.

Speculations about the superstars involvement in the project triggered after Aamir Khan expressed his desire to play the role of Krishna if Rajamouli is planning to make Baahubali. He said this recently when he was in Hyderabad for the promotions of Dangal. Also there were specualtions about Rajamouli planning a movie with Mohanlal. A self confessed Mohanlal fan, the director had earlier mentioned that he would love to make a movie with Mohanlal.

Script works for the movie will begin soon and it is expected to go on floors in 2018. The movie is being planned on a bigger scale than Baahuabli.

The director meanwhile is busy with the post-production work of the second part in the Baahubali series, Baahubali The Conclusion. The magnum opus is scheduled to hit screens on April 28.

Mammootty is the best when it comes to dubbing: Siddique

Malayalis have been seeing Mammootty’s exceptional acting skills for over three decades now. The actor par excellence has given some remarkable performance that will remain etched in the memories forever.

Unlike Mohanlal, who could excel in almost every department of acting, Mammootty’s forte was his impeccable skills in dialogue delivery be it the emotional scenes or the punch dialogues.

Remember how his voice trembled in the final speech in Katha Parayumpol. That 15 odd minutes is a classic example of Mammootty’s skills in dialogue delivery. He had to stand before a mike and emote over his long lost friend. Mammootty gave such a stunning performance that superstars like Rajinikanth and Shah Rukh Khan and could not even close to in the remake versions of the movie.

Not only the emotional scenes. His top notch dialogue delivery in Rajamanikyam was truly a revelation. He aced the local Trivandrum dialect like no other actor has ever done.

When it comes to delivering dialogues in different lingo, Mammootty is undoubtedly the go to choice. Be it the terrific Kottayam slang in Kottayam Kunjachan, the Thrissur slang in Pranchiyettan and the Saint, the Kozhikode slang in Palerimanickyam Oru Pathira Kolapathakathinte Katha, Valluvandan slang in Valsalyam and many other dialects in movies like Vidheyan, Amaram, Bus Conductor, Loud Speaker etc.

Recently, director Siddique in an interview shared about how Mammootty’s voice influenced him. Siddique feels that Mammootty is the best when it comes to dubbing.

All other actors concentrate only on the acting part and are not so concerned about dubbing. But Mammootty is someone who gives his 100 percent in front of the camera and 110 percent while dubbing.

Mammootty and Siddique have previously worked together in movies like Hitler and Chronic Bachelor. Their last outing, Bhaskar The Rascal released in 2015, was also a blockbuster success.
