I was tensed while working with Mohanlal : Sharafudheen

Sharafudheen made a mark for himself in the industry with his terrific comedy timing in Premam, Happy Wedding and Pretham.

His role as Girirajan Kozhi in Premam made him popular among the masses. He will be next seen in Mohanlal’s upcoming Christmas release, Munthirivallikalal Thalirkkumbol.

In a recent interview, Sharafudheen shared his experience working with Mohanlal. He said “I was very tensed while working with Lalettan for the first time.

I grew up watching Lalettan and Mammookka’s movies. I have gone blank on many occasions while facing him and delivering the dialogues. I erred my dialogue while shooting the very first scene with him.

I went up to him and said sorry, but he was very gracious and said it’s okay. That gave me a lot of encouragement and inspired me to do better.”

Munthirivallikalal Thalirkkumbol is directed by Vellimoonga fame Jibu Jacob. The movie is written by M Sindhuraj based on James VJ’s short story Pranayopanishad.

Meena, Anoop Menon, Srinda Arhaan, Alencier Ley, Aima Rose Sebastian, Kalabhavan Shajon, Neha Saxena, Rahul Madhav and many other actors play supporting roles in the movie.

This family entertainer is funded by Sofia Paul under the banner Weekend Blockbusters.

Recently actors like Mamta Mohandas, Manju Warrier, Amala Paul have all parted ways with their partners due to various issues.

Looks like there is another addition to the list. According to latest reports, actress Meera Jasmine is on the verge of separation with her husband Anil John Titus.

Meera Jasmine recently made a comeback to Mollywood after a long gap through 10 Kalpanakal. She played the role of a police office in this crime thriller. She also acted in Abrid Shine new movie Poomaram, Kalidas Jayaram fame.

Meera Jasmine made her debut in the Malayalam film Soothradharan. Her second film was Gramaphone, directed by Kamal, in which she appeared alongside Navya Nair and Dileep. Her role as a Jewish girl was appreciated by Malayalam critics.

Rumour mills allege that the actress decided to make a comeback to silver screens after her bitter married life.

There are also reports that the decision to return to movies miffed her husband and that is the reason for their separation. Both of them have not reacted to these reports yet.

Meera Jasmine married Anil John Titus in February 2014.

Anu Immanuel who made her debut as a child artist in Jayaram’s Swapna Sanchari, paired up with Nivin Pauly this year in the blockbuster movie Action Hero Biju.

She later forayed into the Telugu industry making her debut with Nani in Majnu. Now we hear that she is roped in as the second heroine for Tollywood superstar Pawan Kalyan’s next movie.

Apparently, this movie directed by ace filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas has been titled as Devdude Digi Vachina. Another Kerala beauty Keerthy Suresh has already been roped in to play the female lead opposite Pawan Kalyan.

Shoot for the movie will commence next year after Pawan Kalyan finishes his ongoing projects.Pawan is shooting for Katamarayudu, which is the Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster Veeram.

He has also signed for the Telugu remake of another Ajith starrer Vedalam which will be directed by Jilla fame R T Neason.

Anu Emmanuel is currently busy shooting for Gopichand’s Oxygen and Beware of Kittu in Telugu industry.

She was earlier roped in as the female lead in Dulquer Salmaan-Amal Neerad’s upcoming movie but was later replaced by debutant Karthika Muraleedharan due to date clashes.

Kaabil is Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming action thriller directed by Sanjay Gupta. Yami Gautham is playing the female lead in this movie.

The actor’s father, director/producer Rakesh Roshan is producing this movie under his home banner Film Kraft Productions.

The movie was initially scheduled to release on Republic Day, January 26.

But when it was announced that the makers of Shah Rukh Khan’s much expected gangster movie Raees are also looking for the same release date, Rakesh Roshan changed the release date of Kaabil to January 25.

The makers of Kaabil tried their best to avert a face off, and shifted their release date to a day earlier than the previously announced.

However during the trailer launch of Raees today, the makers of the movie have announced that the movie will also be releasing on January 25.

Raees is produced by Gauri Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akthar under their banners Red Chillies Entertainment and Excel Entertainment.

Now, it is reported that the distributors have decided to screen as usual from the morning shows on January 25. Whereas, Kaabil will be screened only from the evening shows.

Apparently, this decision has not gone well with Rakesh Roshan. In an interview he said, “Whatever dates we are taking, they are following us. I would have never done the same.

I belong to an old school of filmmaking and I have given 50 years of my life to the industry. I would never release my film on a day when another filmmaker has already announced their film.”

I decided to remove Krrish 4 also from Christmas 2018 because I saw SRK’s film is coming that day. I could have easily released my film with Befikre or even with Dangal if I had to clash.

But when I announced the film in February, I saw a clean window in January and hence I picked the date. I can’t get into this new groove of things because I don’t understand it.”

The distributors are yet to take an official call on how to tackle this situation.

Such big clashes between two big stars of the same industry will have a big impact on the Box office collections of both the movies indirectly affecting the prospects of the industry.

No one was against my choice. He is someone who is a very close friend, with whom I have shared many of my problems. Even when there was many gossips about our relationship, we never thought of a marriage.

The proposal happened just a week before the marriage. Our horoscopes matched and then everything happened swiftly. Even our close relatives were informed on the day before the wedding.”

Kavya Madhavan’s interview has some what put an end to the never ending speculations and rumours about the newly weds. Now, the audience are waiting to see her return back to silver screen again.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s upcoming movie Bairavaa was wrapped up recently in Chennai. The movie is gearing up to release for Pongal next year.

The official teaser of the movie released last month broke several YouTube records. Vijay’s white shirt in the teaser caught the attention of the fans and audience.

Soon many online shopping portals advertised the shirt. Many youngsters were seen wearing this shirt that has been trending ever since the teaser release.

But then came a big surprise for Vijay fans when popular actor Suriya was spotted wearing the same shirt recently. Suriya was in Hyderabad for the press meet of his upcoming movie Singam 3 aka S3.

He was wearing the same white shirt for the function. It is still not known whether it was just a coincidence or a friendly gesture by Suriya showing the rapport he shares with Vijay.

At a time when fans of both the actors engage in heated arguments over petty fan fights, it is heartening to see such a gesture by Suriya.

Suriya is currently shooting for Thaana Serntha Kootam (TSK) directed by Vignesh Sivan. He was sporting a new look for the function. S3 is Suriya’s next release directed by Hari.

It is the third installment in the popular franchise of Singam series. The movie will be releasing on December 23rd.

Director Vysakh whose last release, Pulimurugan is continuing its glorious run and recently crossed the 125 crore mark.

The Telugu dubbed version of the movie titled as Manyam Puli was released last week to remember response from the Tollywood audience.

The director will be next working with Dileep in an entertainer again scripted by Pulimurugan writer Udhayakrishna.

This is Vysakh’s third successful collaboration with Udhayakrishna after blockbusters Pokkiriraja and Pulimurugan.

Udhayakrishna has earlier worked with Dileep in many successful movies like Udhyapuram Sultan, Darling Darling, Dosth, CID Moosa, Runway, Vettam, Kochi Rajavu, Lion, Inspector Garud, Chess, July 4, Kaaryasthan, Mayamohini, Mr Marumakan, Sringaravelan and Avatharam.

This new Vysakh-Dileep-Udhayakrishna movie will be produced by Rafi Mathira under the banner Ifar International, who are making a comeback to the industry after a long gap.

The company also bought the distribution rights of Ilayathalapathy Vijay starrer Bairavaa in Kerala. Bairavaa is scheduled to release for Pongal early next year.

The title launch of editor turned filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan’s directorial debut was held today at IMA Hall, Cochin. The movie was titled as Take Off.

Take Off is a multi starrer that features Parvathy Menon, Kunchako Boban, Fahadh Faasil and Asif Ali in the lead roles.

The star studded event was attended by many prominent stars from the industry. Nivin Pauly, Kunchacko Boban, B Unnikrishnan, Renji Panicker, AK Sajan and many others were present for the event.
