Mollywood Super Star Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan released during the Pooja holidays turned out into a blockbuster success and became the first Malayalam movie to enter the elite 100 crore club.

The movie recently crossed the 125 crore mark and is still continuing its amazing theatrical run. The collections of Pulimurugan now stand near 130 crores.

This action packed entertainer has now crossed the lifetime collections of many blockbuster South Indian movies like Vijay’s Kaththi, Suriya’s Singam 2, Thala Ajith’s Vedhalam and SS Rajamouli’s Eega. It is expected that the movie will soon cross the lifetime collections of Allu Arjun’s Sarrainodu.

Pulimurugan is written by Udhayakrishna and directed by Vysakh. Tomichan Mulakupadam produced the movie under his banner Mulakupadam Films.

The Telugu version of the movie, Manyam Puli was released last week to tremendous opening in the box office. Reportedly, Manyam Puli had collected around 5 crores from the first day itself.

After delivering a huge success with his debut movie, Maheshinte Prathikaram, Dileesh Pothen is back with his next titled as Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum.

Fahadh Faasil is playing the lead role in this movie. The movie has started rolling in Kasargode. Newcomer Nimisha is playing the female lead in this movie.

Suraj Venjaramoodu is also essaying a pivotal character. Other supporting actors include Alencier Ley, Soubin Shahir, Vettikili Sreekanth Murali, Prathap.

Many newcomers are also part of the movie just like Dileesh Pothen’s debut movie.

Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum is produced by Sandeep Senan, Aneesh M Thomas under the banner Urvashi Theatres.

Story and screenplay for the movie is written by Sajeev Pazhoor. Popular cinematographer/filmmaker Rajeev Ravi is cranking the camera for this light hearted entertainer.

Bijibal will be composing the music for Rafeeq Ahmed’s lyrics. Kiran Das is roped in as the editor while Jyothi Shankar is in charge of the art department.

The success of Dileesh-Fahadh’s earlier movie Maheshinte Prathikaram has pinned high expectations on Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum.

Dileesh Pothen has already impressed a lot of cine going audience of the state especially the youngsters with his craft and finesse in making a wonderful movie like Maheshinte Prathikaram out of a very simple one liner.

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is making her Bollywood through this movie. She is playing the love interest of SRK’s character. The film is set in the 1970s and 80s in Gujarat.

Mohanlal is playing the lead character of a panchayath secretary, Ulahannan in the movie. Ulahannan after his office work, gets together with his neighbouring friends. He is very active and talkative while spending time with his friends.

In the official teaser released few days back, Mohanlal was seen giving relationship advices to Anoop Menon.

Anoop Menon plays the character, Venu Kuttan who is also a neighbor and a very close friend of Ulahannan. Ulahannan shares a very close friendship with Venu Kuttam with whom he can share anything.

In a recent interview, Anoop Menon said that while acting with Mohanlal, he transpires a new sense of energy that inspires co-stars also.

Munthirivallikalal Thalirkkumbol is directed by Vellimoonga fame Jibu Jacob. The movie is written by M Sindhuraj based on the short story Pranayopanishad, written by James VJ.

Sophia Paul is producing this family entertainer under the banner Weekend Blockbusters.

It was earlier reported that Prithviraj Sukumaran is playing an important character in the movie but it was not revealed what his character was.

We have got exclusive information that Prithviraj is playing the antagonist in the movie. The actor has earlier played antagonist roles in the Kollywood movie Kana Kandaen and Telugu movie Police Police.

He has also played characters with grey shades in movies like Mumbai Police, Raavanan, Vargam, Krithyam etc.

The first look poster of the new movie was released recently which shows Taapsee in a de-glam look fearless and all focused. In the background, Akshay Kumar is seen in his Baby get up.

Taapsee Pannu made heads tun in Bollywood with her stunning performance in Pink opposite Amitabh Bachchan. Her character in the movie was widely appreciated.

According to sources, the actress has learnt mixed martial arts and a bit of Japanese martial art Aikido, apart from self-defence system Krav Maga for the movie.

After a gap of 3 years, Anoop Menon is writing a script for a new movie titled as Devadaruvile Manju directed by Santhosh Nair.

The actor/writer himself announced the news through his official Facebook page. The cast of the movie has not yet been announced.

Santhosh Nair made his debut through Fahadh Faasil’s Money Ratnam. Neil D’Cunha is the cinematographer while legendary music director Jerry Amaldev will be composing the songs in this movie.

Devadaruvile Manju is produced by Ruby Vijayans under his banner Happy @ Ruby Cinemas.

Anoop Menon forayed into script writing through Pakal Nakshathrangal starring Mohanlal in the lead. He has also scripted movies like Beautiful, Cocktail, Trivandrum Lodge, David & Goliath.
and Hotel California.

Most of his works were commercial successes with movies like Beautiful, Cocktail and Trivandrum Lodge appreciated for its bold themes and style of narration.

Anoop Menon has also had a good couple of years bagging many plum roles. This year, his performance as a drunkard in the Prithviraj starrer Paavada earned him widespread appreciation.

The actor will be next seen in Mohanlal’s upcoming Christmas release, Munthirivallikalal Thalirkkumbol. He is playing the role of Venu Kuttan, a close friend and neighbour of Mohanlal’s character Ulahannan.

B Unnikrishnan announces his next movie with Mohanlal

Director B Unnikrishnan has made a big announcement. The director’s next movie will star superstar Mohanlal in the lead.

The director announced the news through his official Facebook page. He has written that the movie will be a big project and it took almost two and a half years for scripting.

The yet-to-be-titled movie will be produced by Mohanlal’s home production banner Aashiravad Cinemas. Max Lab will be distributing the movie in theatres.

Shoot for the movie will commence on January 20 and is scheduled to release during the summer holidays in May.

This is the fourth time B Unnikrishnan is joining hands with Mohanlal. He has earlier directed Mohanlal in movies like Madampi, Grand Master, Mr Fraud.

Mohanlal is currently shooting for Major Ravi’s upcoming big budget movie 1971 : Beyond Borders based on the 1971 war between India and Pakistan.

The actor will be travelling to America for a one month vacation with family. Only after returning from the trip, he will start shooting for B Unnikrishnan’s project.
