The actress has now signed for her next movie titeld as Kallayi FM, directed by debutant Vineesh Millenium. Paravathi will be playing the role of Saira Banu, a flower seller wearing a traditional thattam in the movie. The character is a very bold and independent girl who is a huge fan of Mohammed Rafi.

Veteran actor Sreenivasan will play the role of Mohammed Rafi in the movie. Kallayi FM also stars Aneesh G Menon and Sreenath Bhasi in major roles. Sreenath Bhasi will play the role of Parvathi’s brother, a young generation hip hop music fan.

Drishyam fame Aneesh G Menon will play the love interest of Parvathi’s character Saira Banu. Parvathi will speak with an authentic Kozhikode slang in the movie. The actress who was brought up in Chennai has said that, it was not very difficult to learn the slang as she many of her friends hail from Kozhikode.

The movie also has Kottayam Nazir, Sunil Sughada, Kalabhavan Shajon, Krishnaprabha in other important roles. Kallayi FM is a comedy musical set in Kallayi in Kozhikode district of Kerala. Some portions of the movie will also be filmed in Mumbai and Dubai.

We had earlier reported that Dulquer Salmaan will be seen next in a Lal Jose movie titled as Oru Bhayankara Kamukan. The movie is scripted by Unni R.

According to latest reports, Dulquer will be playing a “naadan” guy in the film. The actor has been often criticised for shying away from doing naadan roles in his movies.

Dulquer has always been comfortable doing the sophisticated rich guy or a gangster. He made his debut in film industry through Second Show where he played a gangster. His other movies like Ustad Hotel and ABCD had him playing rich NRI roles.

But of late its seems like Dulquer has deliberately tried to move away from being stereotyped. He played an angry young man in Kali, a free spirited vagabond in Charlie. In Kammatipadam he played the role of an aged gangster.

Now the actor will be seen in a naadan guy next door character wearing lungis form a rural area in his upcoming movie Oru Bhayankara Kamukan.

Reportedly, the movie happens in a small town near a forest. Dulquer will be playing a resident of that village. Scripting for the movie is going on and the film is scheduled to go on floors by March next year.

This is the second time, Dulquer Salmaan will be working with Lal Jose. The duo’s previous movie Vikramadithyan was a commercial success. Unni R has earlier worked with Dulquer in Charlie and Kullante Bharya in the anthology 5 Sundharikal.

Dulquer’s next release will be Jomonte Suvisheshangal scheduled to release for Christmas this year. He has also signed for other movies like Amal Neerad’s next, Bejoy Nambiar’s Solo. He will also play a cameo role in Soubin Shahir’s debut directorial Paravaa.

Jayaram’s big budget movie Achayans getting ready

Achayans directed by Kannan Thamarakulam is a big budget movie that has a bandwagon of stars. This multi starrer has Jayaram as the main lead. This is the third time the director is joining hands with Jayaram after debuting with Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare and Aadupuliyattam.

Thinkal Muthal Velli Vere was a box office disaster while the horror thriller, Aadupuliyattam also starring Ramya Krishnan and Om Puri was a huge commercial success.

Achayans stars Unni Mukundan, Prakash Raj, Adil Ibrahim and Sanju Sivaram. National award winning actor Prakash Raj is making a comeback to Mollywood after a long gap.

Prakash Raj is concentrating more in direction and has been very selective in his roles of late. Director Kannan Thamarakulam had said that the actor immediately agreed to do the movie after hearing the script. His last movie in Malayalam was Amal Neerad’s Anwar starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead.

Earlier there were reports that Mamta Mohandas would be playing the female lead, but the director has now confirmed that popular South Indian actress Amala Paul has been roped in for the role.

She was last seen in the comedy entertainer Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum also starring Jayasurya and Kunchako Boban. Apart from Amala Paul, Shivada and Anu Sithara are playing important roles in the movie.

Achayans is scripted by Sethu of the script writer duo Sachi-Sethu. The movie is said to be a fun thriller with lots of humour and suspense. The movie stars 5 main leads of which some of them are playing negative roles also.

Siddique, Manianpillai Raju, Pashanam Shaji, Ramesh Pisharody and Dharmajan will be playing other supporting roles in the movie. MLA PC George is also playing an interesting character in the movie. Pradeep Nair is the cinematographer while Ratheesh Vega is composing music for Achayans.

Achayans is expected to go on floors by the end of November. The movie will be shot in Kochi, Kuttikanam, Wagamon, Theni and Hyderabad. Achayans is produced by C K Padmakumar under the banner DNVP Creations. Dileep Kumar is the executive producer.

Nayanthara reportedly plays a district collector in this film which deals with the problem of water scarcity and its issues in a district.

Kakka Muttai fame Ramesh and Vignesh, Ramachandran Durairaj, Sunu Lakshmi are also playing important roles in the movie.

Aramm is produced by Kottapadi J Ramesh under his banner KJR Studios. Omprakash is the cinematographer for this movie while popular action choreographer Peter Hein handling the stunts.

The historical Mollywood success named Pulimurugan starred by the Complete Actor Mohanlal had made yet another history in Mollywood Box office last day. It had become the highest ever grosser at Ernakulam multiplexes surpassing the lifetime figure of Hollywood Movie named Jungle Book.

Jungle Book had a final gross around 3.74 crore from the multiplexes of Ernakulam and Pulimurugan had surpassed that figure within 42 days of its run there.

Now, the movie is on its way to touch the 4 crore mark and if it happens, then it will become the first ever movie to touch the 4 crore mark at Ernakulam multiplexes. It is now the first ever Malayalam movie to touch the 3 crore mark at Ernakulam multiplexes and also the fastest movie to do the same as well.

The achievement of Pulimurugan is special because, it had achieved that from Ernakulam multiplexes while it is having record run in the nearby screens in Ernakulam City like Kavitha, Edappaly Vanitha, Tripunithura Central etc. At every screens here in Ernakulam city, the film had created new history.

Jungle Book had predominantly ran in Multiplexes there and also the higher ticket charge for 3D movies also helped it to achieve that figure of 3.74 crore. Pulimurugan had surpassed it without all these.

Vysakh had initially planned to make a academic level movie with Naren in the lead. Mammootty was asked for a guest role in the movie. After reading the script, Mammootty said that he will not do a guest role instead he assured that he will act in a full fledged role.

Upon the directions given by scriptwriter duo Udhayakrishna and Sibi K Thomas, Pokkiri Raja was changed from an academic level movie into a mass entertainer. This stubbornness of Mammootty worked big time for the movie. Pokkiri Raja was one of the biggest blockbusters of that time.

Pokkiri Raja was produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam under his banner Mulakupadam Films. Due to the huge commercial success, Pokkiri Raja was remade in multiple languages.

In Hindi the movie was titled as Boss while it was titled as Bhai in Telugu. Akshay Kumar played Mammootty’s character in Hindi while Nagarjuna Akkineni played the role in the Telugu version
