Pulimurugan surpassed Premam and become the highest Mollywood grosser in US

Another record is been hunted down by the mighty Pulimurugan and this time, Pulimurugan created a new milestone at US. Last day, Pulimurugan had surpassed the lifetime figure earned by Premam from US and become the highest Mollywood grosser at US.

Premam had grossed 235K Dollars from there in its lifetime run. Pulimurugan had grossed 236K Dollars from reported locations alone from US in just 3 week time.

The gross of Pulimurugan from US now stands above 1.6 crores and if we add an estimated figure from the unreported locations in US, then the actual figure earned by the movie from there will be 2 crore. Then, it will the first ever Malayalam movie to earn 2 crore from US market.

From UK as well, it had grossed over 1.5 crores till now and become the highest grossing Malayalam movie there surpassing Dileep’s Two Countries. It will cross 2 crore mark from there as well, says reports.

From New Zealand and Australia together, it had grossed above 1.5 crore and in New Zealand, this movie had become the highest grossing south Indian movie by surpassing the record set by Vijay’s Theri and Vikram’s I.

From Uganda, the film had grossed near 6 lakhs from 4 shows and more shows has been charted for next week and it is an all-time record.

Pulimurugan UAE GCC Collection Report 10 Days

Pulimurugan, the biggest blockbuster ever in Malayalam cinema is unshaken at the boc office. We had earlier reported about Pulimurugan grossing 100 crores from the theatrical run alone.

There seems to be no stopping this action entertainer directed by Vysakh. In Kerala, the film is running with houseful shows in most theatres. Extra shows are played during the weekend because of the heavy rush.

Overseas also, the movie has been doing great business collection wise. Trade sources have released Pulimurugan’s 10 day collections in UAE and GCC.

In UAE alone, the movie has collected 17.23 crores. Collections stand at 1.94 crores from Bahrain, 1.88 crores from Kuwait, 2.12 crores from Qatar, 1.60 crores Oman. Total collections from the Middle East region alone account to a whopping 24.77 crores. This is a very big amount considering the fact it’s a Malayalam movie.

This big budget movie is written by Udhayakrishna and produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam under his banner Mulakupadam Films.

Pulimurugan deals with an universal theme about man vs wild. This has also helped in the huge success of the movie overseas. Also Mohanlal’s massive fan base spread across generations is another major reason.
