Pulimurugan Telugu dubbing Manyam Puli release date confirmed

Mohanlal starrer gigantic box office hit Pulimurugan is the talk of the South Indian cinema industry for the last 4 weeks.

The film is doing unbelievably great business all over the world and even before releasing in the UAE/GCC market and European market, the total worldwide gross of the movie is all set to touch the 75 crore mark.

This 75 crore is only from the Kerala, rest of India, USA and UK Market and only from the Malayalam version of the movie.

In UAE/GCC market and Europe also, the Malayalam version will release with English Subtitles. Director Vysakh said last day that Pulimurugan Malayalam version alone will get 100 crores and that will happen very soon.

Now, the release date of the much awaited Telugu dubbed version of the movie is out. Report says that, the Telugu dubbed version of Pulimurugan will hit the screens all across Andhra and Telangana on the 11th of November.

Mohanlal has great market there after the success of movies like Manamantha and Janata Garage. Apart from that, the presence of Jagapathi Babu as villain in the movie will also boost the movie there.

The Telugu title of the movie is Manyam Puli and it is now one of the much anticipated film there. It had become the most searched movie in Andhra area after the announcement of its Telugu title.

Ulaga Nayakan Kamal Haasan and actress Gauthami was in a live–in-relationship for the last 13 years and now, both of them had decided to separate from each other.

Gauthami herself confirmed the news through her blog and she said that it was indeed a heartbreaking decision for her. It was very painful for her to make this announcement that she and Kamal Haasan will not be together anymore as they had decided to part their ways.

They are not officially married, but was in a live-in-relationship. So, when they found out that their paths have irreversibly diverged, the only choice for them to part their ways from each other and move on with their individual life.

She calls it the most devastating decision of her entire life. Both of them had taken this decision in order to not to compromise with their dreams. Gauthami also said that it took almost 2 years for her to make this difficult decision of separating from Kamal Haasan.

She has earlier married to Sandeep Bhatia in 1998 and they have a daughter as well named Subbalakshmi. Later they got divorced in 1999 and she has been in a live–in-relationship with Kamal Haasan from 2004. She had met Kamala Hasan in 1989 in the set of the movie Apoorva Sagodarangal.

Aanandam directed by debutant Ganesh Raj, has successfully entered its second week of theatrical run.

Aanandam is a story about a group of students who are on a tour as part of their Industrial Visit. It shows the journey of the students from Mysore to Hampi and later to Goa.

A set of youngsters are playing the lead roles in the movie. All of them are debutants. Aanandam was also the debut work of music director Sachin Warrier.

The movie has been receiving critical appreciation as well as good support from the audience, most of them being college students.

Now Malayalis outside Kerala will get to watch Aanandam from theatres. The movie will be releasing all over India from this weekend, on November 4th.

Vineeth Sreenivasan, who made his entry into production through Aanandam, shared this happy news through his official Facebook page. The movie will be releasing in 80-100 screens outside Kerala in all major centres all over India.

Aanandam will be releasing with English subtitles outside Kerala so that non Malayalis can also enjoy the movie. This is a very good initiative through which Malayalam movies’ reach will further widen. Also the concept of Aanandam is an universal one that youngsters can relate to very easily.

Aanandam is also getting an additional 5 theatres in Kerala from this weekend.

Mohanlal is known as the emperor of Mollywood box office and in fact Mollywood as a whole, as most of the records here in Malayalam film industry belongs to him.

We can even say that he created record in number of records he made as well. His latest movie Pulimurugan had thrashed all box office records existed in Mollywood and on the way to touch the magical 100 crore mark now.

Mohanlal now joined the set of his next movie named 1971 Beyond Borders directing by Major Ravi and it had started filming at Rajasthan last week.

In this movie, which is a war film of course, Mohanlal is playing the character named Major Mahadevan and it is for the 4th time in his career that he is playing this military officer. By playing this character for the 4th time, he had equaled the record set by Mammootty in Mollywood.

Mammootty had played the same character 4 times in Mollywood through the CBI Series. He played the character named CBI officer Sethurama Iyer in movies like Oru CBI diary Kurippu, Jagratha, Sethurama Iyer CBI and Nerariyan CBI, directed by K Madhu and written by SN Swamy.

Mohanlal played Major Mahadevan in movies like Keerthichakra, Kurukshetra, Kandahar and now in 1971 Beyond Borders.

There are reports that Mammootty may play the CBI officer character for the 5th time next year.

Megastar Mammootty’s Thoppil Joppan was released on October 7th during the Pooja holidays along with Mohanlal’s much expected big budget movie Pulimurugan.

Thoppil Joppan was a light hearted entertainer directed by Johny Antony. The movie got good initial response and is still running in theatres in Kerala.

Mammootty in a recent interview in a TV channel, has said that Thoppil Joppan was not the title they had planned earlier.

Thoppil Joppan was not the initial character name of Mammootty. Lead heroine’s name was also changed later. They had planned a title with both their character names.

Bobanum Moliyum was the title the makers initially had on mind. Mammootty’s character name was planned as Thoppil Boban. Annie’s initial name was Moli. But the makers were apprehensive about the copy rights issues. Bobanum Moliyum is a famous comic in Kerala.

So they decided to change the name from Bobanum Moliyum to Thoppil Boban. But finally they decide to name the movie Thoppil Joppan.

Many scripts were considering before committing Thoppil Joppan. A script based on an American NRI’s return to Kerala was discussed. But was later dropped.

Another script on a dance club bouncer was also discussed. It was the life of a 45 year old who was working in Dubai. The script did not have enough depth, so did not materialize.

Finally Mammootty zeroed in on the comedy entertainer Thoppil Joppan. The movie was written by Nishad Koya of Ordinary and Madhuranaranga fame.

Thoppil Joppan was produced by Noushad Alathoor under his banner Grande Film Corporation.

Priyanka Agarwal joins Major Ravi-Mohanlal movie 1971 Beyond Borders

We had earlier reported that shooting for Major Ravi’s latest movie titled 1971 Beyond Borders has started in Rajasthan.

Mohanlal will be playing the lead role in the movie. This will be his fourth movie in the Major Mahadevan series. He will also be essaying the role of Mahadevan’s father in the movie.

Major Ravi has now roped in Mumbai-based model Priyanka Agarwal to play one of the two female leads in this movie.

1971 Beyond Borders will be based on the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The movie already has a plethora of stars as part of the cast. Apart from Mohanlal, Telugu actor Allu Sirish and Bollywood actor Arunoday Singh will be playing the lead roles. Mumbai based model Priyanka Agrawal will be play one of the two heroines in the movie.

Priyanka Agarwal will be making her debut with the film. She is playing the role of a Pakistani woman in the movie. Priyanka will be seen in the role of Pakistani Lieutenant Colonel Rana Sharif’s wife. Bollywood actor Arunoday Singh will play her husband’s role. She will be seen in two looks, one as a 65-year-old and as her younger self.

Major Ravi had earlier told that Arunoday Singh’s role in the movie is inspired by a real life soldier of the Pakistani Frontier Force during the 1971 India Pakistan war.

Priyanka Agarwal has earlier acted with Mohanlal in an advertisement directed by Priyadarshan. She has also acted in many Punjabi video songs.

Major Ravi has planned this movie as a big budget one. The movie will be shot majorly in Rajasthan, Punjab and Kashmir. Some portions will also be shot in Uganda.

Sujith Vassudev is the cameraman for the movie. Rahul Subramaniam and Sidharth Vipin will be handling the music department.

1971 Beyond Borders is produced by Haneef Mohammed under the banner Red Rose Creations.

Thoppil Joppan saw the reunion of Mammootty and director Johny Antony after a short while. Thoppil Joppan was another comedy entertainer, similar to their previous movies like Thappana and Pattanathil Bootham.

The movie had a good initial response from the audience. Families took a liking to the movie, considering the genre. Thoppil Joppan had good humour, songs and other ingredients of a commercial entertainer.

According to trustworthy sources, Thoppil Joppan has collected a gross of 12.4 cores. Net : 10.03 crores and Share : 5.68 crores from its 21 days of theatrical run.

This light hearted entertainer had two female leads in Mamta Mohandas and Kollywood actress Andrea Jeremiah. Thoppil Joppan saw the comeback of comedians Salim Kumar and Harisree Ashokan after a short while.

Thoppil Joppan also starred Alencier Ley, Saju Navodaya, Kaviyoor Ponamma, Renji Panicker, Jude Anthany Joseph and Sohan Seenulal in other important roles.

When Prithviraj announced that he will be doing a epic movie with RS Vimal on the life of Karnan, expectations were sky high. RS Vimal made his debut with the romantic drama Ennu Ninte Moideen also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran. The movie was a very big blockbuster and the director announced his arrival in style.

The director is now busy with the preproduction of Karnan. RS Vimal has said that Karnan will be a truly international movie made with the best of standards available. Preproduction works for the movie are going on in Ramoji Rao Film city, Hyderabad. Around 200 technicians have been working there for the past six months.

Karnan will go on floors by March next year. At the initial stages, the movie was planned to be made on a budget of 25-30 crores. But the director said that, cost of preproduction works for the movie has already exceeded the budget of his previous movie, Ennu Ninte Moideen.

The movie will have an animation format before shooting. Works for that are happening in Hyderabad. RS Vimal has selected a group of technicians from Trivandrum and Hyderabad for the animation works.

Karnan will have a run time of 2 hours 45 minutes. The animation version will also have the same duration. It will be very useful for the artists, make up men, art director and cinematographer to get an idea about the shooting procedure. This will help in saving time and money during the shooting.

Mythical locations like Hasthinapuri and Indrapuri have been recreated using animation. This will help the art team during shoot to build sets and other props used in many scenes.

Karnan will be made as a multilingual made in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Tamil version of the script is written by famous writer Jeyamohan.

The movie will not be simply dubbed in other languages, but shoot will happen separately. The movie will also be released in English.

RS Vimal said there were many roadblocks before the team right before the shooting has started. The massive victory of Ennu Ninte Moideen has inspired him to go forward with his dream project, Karnan.

Many prominent stars from other industries will be part of the cast along with Prithviraj. Karnan will be made in 3D format.

Karnan will made on a massive budget of 300 crores. RS Vimal has said that they are not only aiming at the box office collections in Kerala, but for an international market. Shoot is planned to last over 8 long months.

20% of the shoot will happen outside the Film City. Many scenes will be shot in the banks of Ganga and other locations in North India.

Karnan is planned to release in 5000 theatres worldwide. Marketing works for the movie has already started by the team.
