Andrea Jeremiah is one of the most popular south Indian actress who is very popular here in Mollywood. She had made her Mollywood entry to the critically acclaimed movie named Annayum Rasoolum directed by Rajeev Ravi.

She had shared screen space with Fahad Fazil in that movie and there were gossips as well that Andrea was in a relationship with Fahad Fazil that time.

Later reports came that both of them had a break up. Then we saw her playing the lead in Prithviraj starrer movie named London Bridge.

Then she got the chance of a lifetime to share the screen space with Mollywood super star Mohanlal through a Ranjith movie named Loham last year.

This year, she acted with Mega Star Mammootty as well in the film named Thoppil Joppan directed by Johny Antony which released in this October.

Now, she wants to share screen space with none other than Dulquer Salmaan, the young sensation in Mollywood.

She said that actors in Malayalam film industry is highly talented ones and unlike other film industries in India, Mollywood has the best actors as stars here.

She is now acting in the vetri Maran directorial Tamil film named Vaada Chennai, starring Dhanush.

Films like House next door also coming from her, which is a multilingual movie made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Sidharth is playing the male lead in it.

The film had already become the industry hit in Mollywood and the Kerala gross of the film alone crossed 45 crores as well. It is now moving towards 60 crore all India gross and will soon become the fastest Malayalam movie to gross 60 crore from box office.

Everyone is coming under the magic spell created by Mohanlal and Pulimurugan and now Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also went to see the movie with his family members.

Pinarayi Vijayan had took some time off from his busy schedules and watched the film from Trivandrum Ariesplex Theater with his family yesterday.

After watching the movie, he contacted Mohanlal and said that he really loved the movie and congratulated him for the success of the film.

Pulimurugan is the first movie which has been watched by Pinarayi Vijayan after he became the Chief Minister of Kerala.

Earlier Congress Leader KC Abu had compared Pinarayi Vijayan to Pulimurugan and Umman Chandy to Thoppil Joppan.

KC Abu said that Pinarayi Vijayan is the Pulimurugan of Kerala Politics and Umman Chandy is the Thoppil Joppan of Kerala political circle.

KC Abu made this comment few days back when Pinarayi Vijayan took a sarcastic stand on the strike organized by congress youth leaders.

Simbu’s Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada trailer released

Simbu’s much expected movie Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’s trailer has finally released. The movie marks the reunion of Gautham Menon with Simbu, who had earlier delivered the romantic blockbuster Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa back in 2010.

The movie initially scheduled for an April released was postponed for several reasons. Talks were rife about the movie being shelved after Simbu walking out of the project over remuneration issues.

But Gautham was optimistic about the movie, even while shooting his next with Dhanush. Songs were released few months back to rousing reception with critic’s calling Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada album as AR Rahman’s best work in recent times.

The makers have also announced the release date for the movie. They are apparently planning to release after the Diwali buzz, where biggies like Dhanush’s Kodi and Karthi’s Kashmora are locking horns.

After all the delay, the release date is fixed for November 11. The trailer released today is a typical Gautham Menon trailer with a voice over, some stunning visuals, crisp cuts without revealing too many things about the plot.

The movie promises to be a racy action thriller with ample portions of romance. Malayali actress Manjima Mohan who debuted last year with Nivin Pauly starrer Oru Vadakkan Selfie is playing Simbu’s love interest in the movie.

Apart from Simbu and Manjima Mohan, the movie also stars Daniel Balaji and Sathish in other important roles. The movie is a bilingual simultaneously shot in Telugu as Sahasam Swasaga Sagapo, with Naga Chaitanya playing the lead role.

Australian cinematographer Dan Macarthur who earlier with Gautham Menon in Yennai Arindhaal is handling the camera in this movie. The flick is produced by Gautham Menon himself under his banner Photon Kathas and Ondraga Entertainment.

Hariharan-MT Vasudevan Nair team had given some of the best movies in Mollywood. The legendary duo has made many classics like Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, Sargam, Panchagni, Parinayam, Amrutham Gamaya and Nakhakshathangal.

Hariharan recently shared a very interesting story behind the movie Panchagni.

When MT Vasudevan Nair finished writing the script for Panchagni they had decided to cast Bollywood actor Nasseeruddin Shah for the lead role of the journalist in the movie.

After a few discussions they managed to rope in Nasseeruddin Shah and paid him an advance. Vijayakumar a friend of Hariharan informed him that he is starting a new production company, Seven Arts. He wanted MT Vasudevan Nair and Hariharan to do a movie for his banner. So they decided to do Panchagni under the banner Seven Arts.

Seven Arts Vijayakumar told Hariharan that an actor Mohanlal had asked a chance for the movie. Since the casting was already finalized Hariharan told him not to expect anything. Mohanlal met Hariharan the next day in the director’s home in Chennai.

Hariharan was impressed by Mohanlal’s soft nature and manners decided to offer him a role in the movie. The director called MT Vasudevan Nair and said that he is planning to cast Mohanlal in Panchagni for the role of the journalist.

But the writer was hesitant as they had already booked Nasseeruddin Shah. But Hariharan convinced his writer and finalized Mohanlal for the role.

Panchagni is considered as a classic in Malayalam cinema and the role played by Geetha in the move is considered as one of the most powerful roles in Indian cinema history.

Hariharan said that he considers the role in Panchagni as a big break in Mohanlal’s career who later went on to become the biggest superstar of Malayalam cinema industry.

One of the most prestigious production companies in Mollywood industry, Aashiravad Cinemas is all set to debut in Bollywood.

The company will be making their entry into Bollywood with the remake of Malayalam blockbuster of Oppam. Oppam starring Mohanlal was directed by ace filmmaker Priyadarshan.

Reportedly, Akshay Kumar will be playing the lead role in the Hindi version which will be directed by Priyadarshan himself. Rest of the cast and crew have not yet been finalized.

Aashiravad Cinemas is owned by Mohanlal and Antony Perumbavoor. Their first production venture was the blockbuster Narasimham. It was the all time highest grosser in Mollywood during that time. The company has produced 23 movies all of them starring Mohanlal.

Aashiravad Cinemas has produced some of the biggest blockbusters of Mohanlal in this decade like Ravanaprabhu, Naran, Baba Kalyani, China Town, Spirit, Drishyam and Oppam.

The Hindi remake of Oppam is the first movie the company will be producing without Mohanlal as the lead.

Oppam was a crime thriller in which Mohanlal played the role of Jayaraman a blind man. It was the first time Mohanlal was playing a blind man’s role throughout a movie. The actor delivered an amazing performance and was hugely appreciated. Priyadarshan also received critical acclaim for trying a genre which he has not tried before.

Oppam is still continuing its good run in theatres fetching good returns for the makers. Recently the movie crossed the coveted 50 crore mark.

Akshay Kumar has earlier also played acted in some remakes of Malayalam blocbusters like Manichitrathazhu, Ramji Rao Speaking and Boeing Boeing.

Vysakh, the director of Pulimurugan had made his directorial debut with a Mammootty-Prithviraj movie named Pokkiri Raja in 2010 and it was a box office hit.

Uday Krishna-Sibi K Thomas duo had written the screenplay of that movie and Tomichan Mulakupadam had produced it.

Now, Vysakh is on cloud nine with the success of his Mohanlal starrer film named Pulimurugan, which is the new industry hit in Mollywood.

The film had surpassed 50 crore as well from its all India run in just 14 days. Now, a rumor is doing its round in social media that Vysakh is all set to do his next film with Mammootty in the lead and it will be written by Uday Krishna and produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam.

Last day, a report came in social media that Vysakh and Udayakrishna went to meet Mammootty in the set of The Great Father and told him the story of their project.

Mammootty reportedly liked the story and he gave the permission to move on with the project as well. Rumors says that it is going to be a mass masala comedy entertainer like Pokkiri Raja and the official announcement about the project will be made soon.

Writer-director Sachy’s next film with Megastar Mammootty

Sachy of Sachy-Sethu is now independently doing films. He recently debuted as a director with the Prithviraj starrer Anarkali. The film was a commercial success in the box office.

Sachy will be directing Mammootty in a new movie shortly. The director confirms that the story line is ready and he will start scripting only after his other works. He has said that before starting to focus entirely on the Mammootty project he has other commitments to finish.

He will be scripting a movie for Jean Paul Lal starring Prithviraj and Sreenivasan. He has some other projects like Shafi- Biju Menon movie and Arun Gopy’s next starring Dileep as the lead.

Mammootty meanwhile is busy acting in The Great Father. This movie is directed by debutant Haneef Adeni.

Apart from Mammootty the movie also stars Kollywood actor Arya playing an important role. Arya will also be co-producing the move along with Prithviraj, Santosh Sivan and Shaji Natesan under their banner August Cinemas.

Mammootty also has some other projects lined up. He will be doing a mass masala entertainer directed by Ranjith titled Vamban.

There are also some other projects in his kitty with young filmmakers Shyam Dhar and Akhil Paul. There are also unconfirmed reports about the magnum opus Karnan directed by Madhupal.

It will be interesting to see Sachy directing a senior actor like Mammootty who can easily get into the skin of any given character.
