Upcoming movie My Story starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy Menon in the lead is one of the most expected movies of the year.

Directed by Roshini Dinaker, this romantic flick is scripted by Shankar Ramakrishnan.

Now latest reports confirm that Hollywood actor Roger Narayan will be playing the antagonist in this movie. Roger will be essaying the character David in this romantic drama that will be majorly shot abroad.

My story will be shot in foreign locales like Portugal and has some of the finest technicians working for the movie.

Popular cinematographer Nataraj Subramaniam aka Natty will be the DOP and Shaan Rahman wil be composing the music for the movie. My Story is produced by director Roshini Dinaker and OV Dinaker.

Complete Actor Mohanlal is now having a dream box office run by delivering 3 all-time biggest blockbusters back to back.

His upcoming release is titled as Munthiri Vallikal Thalirkkumbol and it has been directed by Vellimoonga fame director Jibu Jacob.

M Sindhu Raj had written this movie based on the famous short story written by James VJ, tiled as Pranayopanishathu.

The shoot of the movie was over last week and they had announced its release date officially as well. The movie will hit the screens here on the Christmas season, and on December 22nd to be specific.

They had earlier planned to release it in November this year. But they decided to postpone the release date of the movie due to the epic run of Oppam and Pulimurugan, two Mohanlal movies, which are having historical success in Mollywood box office now.

The main locations of this flick was Calicut, Alappuzha and Shimla. Mohanlal plays a Panchayat Secretary named Ulahannan in this movie and his wife character named Annie was played by Meena.

Meena and Mohanlal joined together for this movie after Drishyam. Artists like Anoop Menon, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Kalabhavan Shajon, Sharafudeen, Alencier, Sudheer Karamana, Srinda, Master Sanoop Santhosh, Aima Sebastian, Sohan Seenulal, Suresh Krishna, Rahul Madhav, Neha Saxena etc also playing important characters in this movie.

M Jayachandran and Bijipal tuned the songs for this movie and Pramod Pillai is the DOP. This flick has been produced by Weekend Blockbusters owned by Sophia Paul.

Megastar Mammootty upcoming movies | 2016-2017

Mammootty is having a mixed year with some ups and downs. He started of the year with the thriller Puthiya Niyamam which ended as a flop in the box office. Next was the much expected Kasaba, which opened to tremendous reception. But due to some unwanted controversies and dip in the audience, Kasaba also had to settle as an average movie.

His next White was a terrible failure in the box office and was labelled a disaster by the trade experts. His latest movie Thoppil Joppan is getting mixed response from the audience and is expected to end up with decent collections. Here we look at the upcoming movies of Mammootty.

The Great Father

The Great Father is a crime thriller directed by debutant Haneef Adeni. Mammootty is playing the character called David and he looks dashing in his bearded avatar.

The movie also stars Sneha, Miya, Kollywood actor Arya, Anikha and Kammatipadam fame Manikandan Achari in other important roles.

Young actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is producing this movie under his banner August Cinemas. The Great Father is scheduled for a Christmas release.

Vamban

Mammootty is joining hands with ace filmmaker Ranjith after a short while for a mass entertainer titled Vamban. Ranjith-Mammootty team has given some brilliant movies like Kaiyoppu, Pranchiyettan and the Saint and Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha.

Expectations are naturally high when the two join together for a mass entertainer.

Peranbu

Mammootty after a long gap of 6 years is doing a movie in Tamil. Peranbu is directed by award winning filmmaker Ram of Kattradhu Thamizh and Thanga Meengal fame.

The movie also stars Sarath Kumar, Anjali, Sadhana, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Kaniha in other important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing music for this film.

Karnan

Actor-filmmaker Madhupal had announced a movie based on the historical character of Karnan, which would have Mammootty in the lead role.

P Sreekumar is writing the script for the film. Nothing has been official yet about this movie but if the project materializes then it would be one of the biggest movies ever made in Mammootty’s illustrious career.

Akhil Paul-Mammootty movie

Mammootty had earlier planned to do a movie with Akhil Paul. The movie was tentatively titled as Megastar 393. But according to recent developments, that project has been dropped and Akhil Paul is writing a different subject for the star.

Shyamdhar-Mammootty movie

Shyamdhar who directed Prithviraj starrer 7th day will be doing a movie with Mammootty. The project is set to begin by November end. Unlike 7th day, the new movie will be a family drama.

With some exciting projects ahead fans and common audience are looking forward to some brilliant performances from the veteran actor.

Mohanlal’s latest action packed entertainer has been the talk of the town for sometime now. The movie is creating waves in the box office and is expected to become the highest grossing Malayalam movie ever.

Meanwhile there are talks of remakes of this blockbuster in other industries. The remake rights for other Indian languages has been bought by Abhishek Films owned by Ramesh Pillai.

The remake rights of the movie to other languages has been sold for a record prize though the actual amount has not yet been revealed.

Though the makers have been tight lipped about the star cast on other industries, some reliable sources indicate that Salman Khan is considered for the Hindi remake. Baahubali actor Prabhas is considered for the Tamil and Telugu versions.

It is also unclear about who will be directing these remakes. Vyshak who directed the Malayalam version is expected to call the shots for other languages.

Pulimurugan is a universal subject of man vs wild and so it can be remade in any language. The movie has been getting fabulous response from the non Malayali audience also from centres in Bangalore.

Pulimurugan will also be dubbed in all major Indian languages apart. The Telugu dubbed version of the movie titled as Manyam Puli is gearing up for release. Mohanlal in a recent interview said that the movie will also be released in Chinese, Vietnamese versions.

It will be interesting to see whether Salman Khan and Prabhas can eclipse the extraordinary performance of Mohanlal. Considering their chiselled physique and expertise in action blocks we can expect some high voltage action sequences.

Alia Bhatt and Shahrukh Khan’s new movie, Dear Zindagi teaser is out

The first look poster of Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dear Zindagi was released yesterday. Today the teaser of the movie has been released.

Dear Zindagi is directed by English Vinglish fame Gauri Shinde. The movie also star Aditya Roy Kapoor, Kunal Kapoor and Ali Zafar in important roles.

Apparently the film would not have the usual theatrical trailer, but three teasers, titled Take 1, Take 2 and Take 3.

Shah Rukh Khan shared the Take 1 teaser. The teaser reveals much about the mood of the film. Similar to English Vinglish, Dear Zindagi also shows Alia wanting to break free.

In this teaser, Alia Bhatt is seen spending time with Shah Rukh Khan, who is reportedly playing the role of a therapist/life coach.

The two are seen in Goa, when SRK tells her to play “kabbadi with the sea”. This is a metaphor to live freely and just have a good time. They’re also shown riding bicycles around Goa and hanging out.

The teaser shows a lot of brightness, happiness and positivity. It is expected to be a uplifting and motivational movie.

The movie is produced by Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, and R Balki under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions, and Hope Productions respectively.The movie is scheduled to release on November 25th.

Megastar Mammootty is now busy with the shoot of his upcoming release named The Great Father. It will hit the screens in this coming Christmas season.

Reports says that his Tamil film named Peranbu will also release in December. His latest release was Thoppil Joppan directed by Johny Antony and it is having a decent box office success.

Recently, in a media interview, when the anchor asked him about his dance moves in Thoppil Joppan, Mammootty said that he had full confidence in his ability to dance. But he can’t do nothing if others did not have that confidence on him.

The interviewer asked the question because, in Thoppil Joppan, the makers had used the dance step of Mammootty to create humor.

Mammootty said in a funny manner that they had given him only simple steps as they feared that if they give him some superb steps, he may outsmart the female lead who was dancing along with him in that song sequence. Mammootty is not known as a great dancer but he tries his bit in every entertainers.

Mammootty said that Johny Antony have great sense of humor and that is why he makes most of his films with a comic flavor.

Mammootty also added that the thread of Thopil Joppan had come to him almost one year before and they worked on the screenplay taking enough time to make it a good entertainer.

Pulimurugan remake rights sold for a record prize

Pulimurugan, the Mohanlal starrer mass action movie conceived by Vysakh is setting milestones in Mollywood each and every day.

It had completed 12 days run here in Kerala and already grossed more than 35 crore from these 12 days from Kerala alone, which is an all-time highest record here.

The film is doing great all over India as well, as rest of India market too showing fabulous response for the movie and people from every corner is accepting the movie with both hands.

Now, the film had set another record. Reports says that the remake rights of the movie to other Indian languages has been sold for a record prize.

Even though they had not revealed the actual amount, it is said that the remake right got by the film is the highest ever for a Malayalam movie.

The remake rights for other Indian languages has been bought by Abhishek Films owned by Ramesh Pillai. If reports coming in are true, it will be dubbed in all major Indian languages apart from the plans of remaking it.

The Telugu dubbed version of the movie will hit the screens very soon. In Telugu, the title of the movie is Manyam Puli.

There will be Tamil, Hindi, English, Chinese, Vietnamese versions of the movie as well, said Mohanlal. He said that they are planning to release the movie in maximum languages as the theme of the movie is a universal one.

After the massive success of Oppam, Priyadarshan had announced that he will be doing a movie with Prithviraj as the lead penned by Sreenivasan. The movie is scheduled to be shot in Srilanka.

Priyadarshan also said that he is planning to do a sports movie based on the sportspersons in Kerala. Now speculations are rife that Mohanlal and Prithviraj will be playing the lead roles in the movie. It is said that Mohanlal will be playing the role of a coach and Prithviraj as an athlete.

This will be a totally different sports movie, not the usual run of a mill kind. It will be made as a tribute to sportspersons from Kerala for their contributions. The movie will be set in the the period spanning from 1970s to 2010.

Priyadarshan himself will be writing the script for this movie. This will be the first time he is scripting a sports movie.

If this project happens, it will be one of a kind because we will get to see Mohanlal and Prithviraj together on screen for the first time.

Meanwhile, Priyadarshan-Mohanlal team’s previous release Oppam is continuing its great run and has officially entered the 50 crore club in Mollywood box office.

Oppam is Mohanlal’s second movie in the club after Drishyam. Pulimurugan is also fast approaching breaking several pre existing records in Kerala.

Sivakarthikeyan starrer Remo was released on October 7 despite getting mixed reviews from the critics, continues to do great business in the box office.

Remo had great pre release expectations and it is fair to say the movie has lived up to the expectations in terms of its worldwide box office collection. According to reports from trade experts, the film’s worldwide opening weekend collection was a whopping amount of Rs 33 crore.

Remo had the third best opening in Kollywood in 2016 after biggies like Kabali ad Theri. The movie is already declared a super hit by trade analysts.

Remo is also a fun filled entertainer similar to his earlier releases. Sivakarthikeyan is seen in a female nurse avatar in Remo. Keerthy Suresh plays the female lead for the second time with Sivakarthikeyan after Rajini Murugan.

In Kerala, Remo was released alongside biggies like Pulimurugan and Thoppil Joppan but still continues to do very good business.

After the good response from Overseas and Kerala, the movie is releasing in Bengaluru on October 21st. The makers will be hoping for a good run there also.

Remo, a romantic comedy entertainer is directed by Baakiyaraj Kannan and bankrolled by RD Raaja. Anirudh composed music for the movie.
