The cast and crew of the movie was present there in the audio and trailer launch along with specials guests like Nivin Pauly from Mollywood. Kollywood Star Sivakarthikeyan, Tamil director Hari, Actress Parvathy Nair etc also were present at the grand function. The announcement of Vikram’s Saamy 2 also made there which will be directed by Hari and produced by Shibu Thameens. For the first time ever in Malayalam cinema history, a 3D game is coming related to a movie and it will be Puli Murugan 3D game. Usually such games comes before the release of big budget other language movies. We saw it in Kollywood, Bollywood and also in Hollywood as well where it all started. Now it is all set to be a part of the marketing strategy of Malayalam Cinema as well. Puli Murugan is the most awaited movie of this year from none other Super Star Mohanlal. It is directed by Vysakh and produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam.

Udaya Krishna, the one from the popular screenplay writing duo of Sibi- Udayan team had written the screenplay of this movie, which is his first ever independent screenplay. The film is based on a wild hunter named Murugan, who is been called as Puli Murugan as he is an expert in hunting down tigers.

The movie will hit the screens all over on this coming October 7 and will be the biggest release from Malayalam Cinema till now. Apart from Mohanlal, the flick has artists like Kamalini Mukharjee, Namitha, Jagapathi Babu, Kishore, Lal, Siddique, Bala, Makarand Deshpande, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Nobi, Vinu Mohan, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Gopa Kumar, Anjali Aneesh Upasana etc as well.

Popular South Indian fight master Peter Hein had choreographed the stunt sequences while Shaji cranked the camera. Gopi Sundar is the music director of this movie.

A happy news is coming for Chiyaan Vikram fans, as the sequel of Vikram’s super hit movie named Saamy is coming. The announcement of this project had happened in the audio and Trailer launch function of the film Irumugan starring Vikram and directed by Anand Shankar, at Chennai today.

The flick named Saamy was directed and scripted by Hari and he will make the sequel of this movie as well. It will be produced by Thameens Films who are the ones who bankrolled the movie Irumugan, which is all set to hit the screens on this coming September.

Saamy is released in 2003 and it was an action movie in which Vikram played a cop named Aarusaamy. Trisha played the female lead in it and Harris Jayaraj had composed the songs. Hari is now busy with his Suriya project named Singam 3 and after finishing it, he will start the works for Saamy 2. Singam 3 will come to the screens in this December as per reports.

Meanwhile, the trailer of Irumugan has been launched today and getting great response from all over. It looks like Vikram is all set for a grand comeback after some recent failures. Nayan Thara is playing the female lead in this movie and Nithya Menon also playing a major character. Vikram will start his next flick named Garuda directed by Tirru soon as well.

Manamantha/Vismayam is all set to grace the silver screens all over the world on this coming Friday. On August 5, the 3 language versions of the movie will hit the screens. Super Star Mohanlal is playing the male lead in this movie and Chandra Sekhar Yeleti, the top class director from Telugu Film industry had directed this flick. It will be for the first time that Mohanlal is doing a full-fledged Telugu movie in his career. He is quite excited about this project and about the Telugu dubbing of his, for this movie.

Mohanlal said that he is very happy to be a part of such a brilliant movie and very happy about his dubbing in Telugu as well. He said that he had learned and understood the Telugu language before dubbing. The effort took 68 hours in 7 day time.

Mohanlal had said that Chandra Sekhar Yeleti had done an amazing job and it will be a realistic movie to which every viewer can connect with their hearts. The story of this movie is all about the middle class lives and everyone can identify the characters. At heart, we all can feel the emotions and sensibilities of the characters and Mohanlal expresses his hope that people who love him will bless him with the big success of this movie.

The film got a clean U certificate from the censor board and this movie produced by Sai Korapatti will have Gauthami, Raina Rao and Viswant in the lead roles as well.

He said that he is quite excited to be with a man of stature like Anurag Kashyap and the moment was really like an honor for a youngster like him.

But the big question in the mind of Nivin Pauly fans and film lovers now is that, for which film this team is uniting. Some says that Nivin Pauly may make his debut in Bollywood through an Anurag Kashyap movie.

There were reports that Anurag Kashyap may act in the upcoming Geethu Mohandas directorial movie in which Nivin Pauly is said to be playing the lead. Mammootty starrer White which released on July 29 is moving to an epic disaster status as per the response from the audience. The box office stats are poor from the first day and it is going down and down as each day passes. The sad thing is that, even after being a Super Star movie, it never showed half of its might in box office. It is time for Mammootty to do a rethinking about his selection of movies as each of his movies going down in box office.

Critics are once again going against him saying that his star value now is just a shadow of what he has in past. Even his films which gets good opening, shatters in box office after its first weekend. We had seen some recent examples this year itself. According to the reports from trade guides, the second day figure of the movie White was just above 26 lakhs.

On its first day it earned a poor 29 lakhs and in total the two day collection of the movie was just around 56 lakhs. It is one of the poorest opening ever made by a Super Star movie in Kerala. The previous worst was Acha Din, which was also a Mammootty movie released last year. That movie had only got 18 lakhs on its first day and from the first two days, Acha Din grossed only below 50 lakhs.

White was directed by Uday Ananthan and produced by global biggie Eros International. Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi played the female lead opposite Mammootty in this movie. The film has nothing in it except for the stylish look of Mammootty and Huma’s beauty.

There are some rumors doing its round in film field that the much awaited Pratap Pothen-Dulquer Salmaan movie has been shelved due to some unknown reasons. The movie has been announced last year and they had planned to start it in this year July. Reports also came that they had titled the movie as Love in Anjengo as well. But, then we come to know that the shooting of the film has been delayed due to some changes in the screenplay.

Later a rumor came that the project is in trouble because of an issue between Pratap Pothen and the cameraman of this movie. Rajeev Menon was reportedly approached to crank the camera for this movie. As per reports, Pratap Pothen has been insulted by Rajeev Menon and that had made the project delayed again. Now, rumors saying that it has been shelved.

Anjali Menon was writing the screenplay of this movie, which was all set to be produced by Pratap Pothen himself under the banner of his Supriya Films. Ilaya Raja was roped in to tune the music for this big budget period movie and Kollywood actress Dhansika (Kabali fame) said to be the female lead of Dulquer in this flick. There were reports that popular Kollywood actor Madhavan also playing an extended cameo in it.

Anyway, Dulquer will start his movie with Sathyan Anthikkad after finishing up the works for his Amal Neerad directorial movie which is now filming at US.

On last Friday, a small film released in Mollywood and it was a film named Kismath, written and directed by Shanavas K Bavakutty. It was a movie based on the real life incident that happened in the Ponnani Taluk and the movie was produced by director Rajeev Ravi. Lal Jose’s LJ Films had distributed the movie all over Kerala and the film is getting great response from the audience as well.

It was a realistic portrayal of a real life story which tells us the love story of Irfan and Anitha. Shane Nigam and Sruthi Menon had played the lead roles in this movie. But now, the director Shanavas K Bavakutty had come out with the allegation that some people are deliberately trying to degrade his movie by booing at the film inside the cinema halls.

Shanavas K Bavakutty said that, in theaters like Ernakulam Padma and Calicut Coronation, some people are continuously booing at the movie right from the beginning and making it difficult for others to watch the movie peacefully. Many people had complained about this situation.

Director said that even though this is an unfortunate incident, he had full belief in the film lovers here who always supported good movies irrespective of all other degrading that comes from different corners. The film is getting great attention for the way of its presentation and also for the performances from its lead artists.

Super Star Mohanlal’s first Telugu movie as Hero, titled Manamantha is releasing all over on the coming Friday, the 5th of August. This Chandra Sekhar Yeleti movie will have a Malayalam version named Vismayam and it will have a Tamil version as well named Namadhu. The trailer and songs of this movie is getting great response from the audience all over and everybody is hoping to see the actor in Mohanlal through this movie rather the star in him.

Now, master director SS Rajamouli also come up by wishing all the best for Mohanlal’s Vismayam. SS Rajamouli had shared the song from the movie Manamantha/Vismayam on his official Facebook page and wished Mohanlal, Chandra Sekhar Yeleti etc all the best for their movie.

Earlier, when the first teaser of the movie was released, SS Rajamouli said through his social media page that he is eagerly waiting for this film as it had Mohanlal in the lead, who is his all-time favorite actor. He also welcomed Mohanlal to Telugu Film Industry.

This movie Vismayam is produced by Sai Korapatti under the banner of Varaahi Chalana Chithra. The same one had earlier produced the super successful SS Rajamouli movie Eega as well which become popular all over India. Gauthami, Viswant, Raina Rao etc playing important characters in this movie Manamantha.
