Mammootty’s Kasaba teaser leaked out !

Mammootty starrer Malayalam movie Kasaba was in the news headlines here in Mollywood for the last few days mainly because of the trolls which was received by its posters. Mammootty’s different body postures in the posters of the film had become the source for troll makers in social media to create hilarious trolls and most of those trolls went viral in social media.

Now, the flick is again making news for another wrong reason. The teaser of the film is said to be releasing on 25th of this month. But the teaser had leaked out yesterday itself and spread through WhatsApp and other social media platforms.

The team behind the film later announced that the leaked one is not the official teaser and it was only a promo cut which was made using the background music of some Telugu movies named Nanakku Prematho and Gabbar Singh. They had made a dozen teaser cuts and the leaked one is just one among them.

They also said that they are trying to find out how the teaser leaked out even before the post production gets completed. Sound Mixing and final editing is not yet completed and even before that the teaser came out somehow, that concerns the team.

Nithin Renji Panicker had directed this movie in which Mammootty playing a police officer named Rajan Zakariah. In the leaked version of the teaser he made his appearance with a twirled moustache and with some exciting movements. This action thriller is going to be a classy and unique cinema experience for the viewers, says the team behind the film.

Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, the daughter of popular Tamil actor Sarath Kumar is making her Mollywood debut through the Mammootty starrer named Kasaba, which is directed and scripted by debutant Nithin Renji Panicker. She had already popular in Kollywood playing the lead in many popular movies there and the recent one was Tharai Thappattai, directed by Bala.

She says that Mammootty always supported her during the filming and corrected the mistakes of her while she was having problems with Malayalam dialogue delivery. She utter dialogues fast and Mammootty advised her to slow down her pace of dialogue delivery to get the desired effect on the screen. Varalakshmi Sarathkumar plays a character named Kamala who is a don in a village. Mammootty’s character Rajan Zakariah comes to this village and that changes Kamala’s life there. Tamil actor Sambath too playing a don in this movie along with her. She said that it is a challenging character and she had total belief in Nithin. That is why she chose this film when Nithin came to meet her with the screenplay.

Salman Khan had made this comment during a promotional event of his Eid release named Sultan in which the actor plays a wrestler. His actual words are like this which he said before the media that day, “”When I used to walk out of that ring, it used to be actually like a raped woman walking out.” Later he tried to explain what he really meant was he found it hard to walk after the filming as it was that hard.

We had earlier reported that Mollywood young star Dulquer Salmaan to star in the Pratap Pothen directorial film written by Anjali Menon this year. They had planned to start the film in this July earlier. But now the latest update says that the film will be delayed as there are some changes bringing in the screenplay of the movie. Dulquer Salmaan is now in America for the filming of Amal Neerad directorial movie which had completed its first schedule at Pala, Kottayam. New Face Karthika Muraleedharan is playing the female lead in this Amal Neerad movie.

Pratap Pothen film will have Kollywood actress Dhansika playing the female lead opposite Dulquer Salmaan. There are reports came earlier that popular film star Madhavan will play an extended cameo in this movie. At first a report came that the flick has been titled as Love in Anjengo, but now the updates says that the team had not fixed any title for this movie. It is said to be a period film based on some true events and it will be a romantic flick, says sources close to the team behind the film.

Pratap Pothen is coming back to direction after long years and the last Malayalam film which he directed was Mohanlal- Sivaji Ganeshan starrer Oru Yathramozhi which is regarded as of the evergreen movies made in Mollywood. Anjali Menon is scripting this movie after her directorial effort named Bangalore days in 2014.

There are reports that Pratap Pothen’s Supriya Films will produce this film in association with M Renjith’s Rejaputhra Visual Media. Ilaya Raja will tune the songs for this movie and Rajeev Menon will be the DOP.

Lingusamy earlier told in an interview that he had Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay in his mind for both those films but unfortunately it was not happened at that time. He had even narrated the first half screenplay of the film Sandakkozhi to Vijay. But due to some other commitments Vijay could not able to hear the full script of that movie.

Lingusamy said that it was Vijay who suggested the name of Vishal to play the lead in that movie as he felt Vishal would be an apt casting. The film went on to become a career turning success for Vishal as well. Now reports are coming in that this director is all set to join hands with Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay in the near future.

Vijay had expressed his wish to work with Lingusamy when he cannot able to do two films of this director which was actually meant for him. So, Lingusamy had wrote and narrated a screenplay to Vijay recently and reports says that if everything goes well, we will see a Vijay-Lingusamy project in next year or so.

Vijay is currently busy with Bharathan directorial untitled movie, in which he plays dual character as per reports. Mollywood actress Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead in this upcoming movie which is now in its production stage.

Veteran director Kamal had directed a handful of films with mega star Mammootty. Kamal says that he feels jealous when he see Mammootty as younger as his own son Dulquer Salmaan. Kamal says that we saw Mammootty as a youngster in many films. Even if he act as Dulquer Salmaan’s younger brother, Kamal will be happy to watch it because of the sheer youthfulness Mammootty possess in this age.

Kamal says that his hair has become white now due to aging but Mammootty remains as young as ever. Mammootty always tells him to use hair dye and look young. But he never did that. Kamal also says that when he told him about the prospect of acting as the younger brother of Dulquer Salmaan, Mammootty laughed.

Mega star had told him to look young by using hair dye at that time. But he replied that if Mammootty had any problem with he calling him Mammukka (elder brother), then he is ready to call him Mammootty instead. Kamal says that only Mammootty can remain such young even at this age and he said that there may not be many actors in this world who looks such youthful in this age of 65 years. Kamal says that he is not only jealous of Mammootty but also admire him for this aspect.
