Ramesh Narayan, the popular music director in Mollywood had come out against actor Prithviraj and director RS Vimal, after he got the state award for best music director. Ramesh Narayan had tuned 6 songs for the RS Vimal-Prithviraj film named Ennu Ninte Moideen. But only 3 of them had come out before the world and only one out of the three had used in the film. Ramesh Narayan said that his award is a reply to Prithviraj as he was the one who said that Ramesh Narayan’s songs have only academic value and not good for the film. Ramesh Narayan also said that no one had ever insulted him like Prithvi Raj and RS Vimal did now.

Ramesh Narayan said that, Prithviraj was against him from the beginning of the shoot of the film. He even said that he will not act in the film if Ramesh Narayan is the music director of the film. That had put RS Vimal in dilemma because Ennu Ninte Moideen was his first film and he does not want to shelve the project for this silly reason.

So when he told about the situation to Ramesh Narayan, he said to RS Vimal that he had no problem with it and go ahead according to the wish of Prithviraj. Prithviraj had already contacted M Jayachandran as well to tune the songs for the film. Still one song composed by Ramesh Narayan was include in the film and it was only because of the bold decision of the producer Suresh Raj. That song was sung by P Jayachandran and for that song, he got state award as well.

Ramesh Narayan said that he was the executive producer of the film as well. Still he had to face that insult from Prithviraj and Vimal. The reason they says for it is that Ramesh had not gave respect to Prithviraj when he came to hear the song in the recording studio. But Ramesh Narayan says that when he asked about it to Prithviraj by sending messages to him, he did not responded at all.

Ramesh Narayan said that he even told them that he is ready to create tunes just like they wants. But they discarded it without telling why they are not satisfied with his tunes.

Kerala State Film awards had been announced yesterday and it is still making news or rather new controversies, We had heard about the controversy including Ramesh Narayan and Prithviraj, the controversy related to the best actor award given to Dulquer Salmaan etc. The latest protest against the state film awards this year had come from Tamil Nadu. Yes, popular Kollywood film director AR Murugados come out and told that the awards this time is not at all fair and the reason that made him say this is that, Premam film does not get any awards in this edition of Kerala State film awards.

The film Premam directed and written by Alphonse Puthren and starred by Nivin Pauly had made great impact in box office of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The film had ran 250 days in Tamil Nadu and in Kerala too it had find the second spot in the all-time blockbuster list of Mollywood cinema history. The film was noted for its songs and technical features like editing as well.

Many Kollywood and Mollywood film directors had praised the film after watching it. The film got appreciation from great director like Shankar from Kollywood and it is now remaking to Telugu as well. But the film not get any awards in State film awards this year and it was quite a surprise as well. Many thought that it may get the popular film award but Ennu Ninte Moideen bagged it.

AR Murugados had protested through his official Facebook page saying that “No awards for Premam.!! It’s not fair..!!..”. Let’s see how people of Kerala and film lovers here reacts to this. AR Murugados is one of the most popular and favorite Kollywood director of Malayalees as well. His films like Kaththi, Thuppakki, Ghajini etc had great number of followers here as well.

Last week report spread through social mMedia that actor Mohanlal had given permission by central government in order to keep the elephant tusks with him which had caused some legal troubles to him. But the news that spread along with it said that it was a thanks from the central government in return to Mohanlal’s blog that said to be in support of central government stand in JNU issue. But the fact had come out today and it says that it is not central government, but the state government that given him the permission to possess the elephant tusks and the news that is spreading in the name of his blog and central government is completely fake.

The state government had given him the permission to keep it in last year December itself. Mohanlal had given a request in last year February to the state government regarding the Elephant tusk issue and also provided all the details to prove his innocence in this issue. Honorable high court of Kerala also checked and ordered favorable to Mohanlal. After that Kerala Government had checked all the details provided by him and his petition as well. Later completing all legal formalities, he had given the permission to keep the tusks with him.

But some haters of him had dig out an old news and connected it with the JNU issue and his latest blog and then spread it in a worst possible manner through social media. Now-a-days targeting Mohanlal in all issue had become a trend in Kerala and using his name becomes a shortcut to become popular as well. He is the most followed and most popular Malayali in India and anything related to his name will get great attention from people all around. That is said to be the prime reason for making him the target of all issues by connecting it all to him somehow.

Even in this issue Mohanlal had attacked through Media many times and he never responded badly even to the ones attacking him. That humility makes him the most loved actor and human being ever in Mollywood.

The Kerala State Film Awards 2016 which announced yesterday had already become a reason for many criticisms in social media. And adding to that another controversy also come up and it includes Prithviraj and music director Ramesh Narayan. Ramesh Narayan last day said to media that Prithviraj had tried to remove two songs from Ennu Ninte Moideen without permission from him, as he had given music to that songs. He also accused RS Vimal had removed his named from the title card even though he is also one of the producers of the film.

Ramesh Narayan said that Prithviraj tried to remove two songs from the film saying that they only had academic value. RS Vimal himself told this to Ramesh Narayan according to him. But even after the opposition from Prithviraj, they included the song “Sharadambaram..” in the film. Prithviraj also not wanted P Jayachandran to sing that song. But it was due to the intervention of Ramesh Narayan that P Jayachandran was chosen to sing that song and now it had brought him a state award as well. Ramesh Narayan said that intervention of actors like Prithviraj is the reason why good songs are not gracing Malayalam cinema.

Another song was removed from the film and it was sung by Yesudas. It was really hurt Yesudas as well. He says that it was he who bought Prithviraj to this movie. Still Prithviraj or RS Vimal not given a single phone call to him to share the happiness as the songs from Ennu Ninte Moideen got state award. But RS Vimal said that he is not at all want to react on this as this accusation and arguments from Ramesh Narayan is cheap and illogical.

Ramesh Narayan had won best music director award and his daughter Madhusree Narayan won the best female singer award as well in this Kerala State Film awards. Ennu Ninte Moideen expected to win more awards but Charlie had got more awards than Ennu Ninte Moideen this year.

Ajith’s Vedalam was one of the biggest success in Kollywood last year and it was directed by Siva. Sruthi Hasan and Lakshmi Menon had played the female leads in the film which had become a big box office hit all around. But still there was some confusions regarding the collection report about the film. Many had said that the film had grossed 100 crore and many said that it is fake reports. The rain and flood that happened in Tamil Nadu had affected the collection of the film for sure as well. But now the total worldwide gross of the film had officially out from the trade guides of Kollywood.

As per the report, the film had done an overall box office business 125.7 crores of rupees from worldwide screens in which it had released. It had grossed more than 76 crores from Tamil Nadu box office alone. From Kerala, it had got around 6 crores and from Karnataka, it had collected around 9 crores. From rest of India, it had got around 2.5 crores as well. From outside India, the movie had made a business around 32 crores as well.

It had broke the opening day collection of Rajinikanth’s Linga and Vijay’s Kaththi by collecting above 15 crore on its first day. Linga had made 12.8 crores and Kaththi had made 12.5 crores on day one of its release.

Dulquer Salmaan had won his first state film award of his career today and it was for his performance in the film named Charlie directed by Martin Prakkatt and written by him along with Unni R. But criticisms are also coming heavily as many people things that it was deserved by some others and not him. Names like Jayasurya, Prithviraj, Mammootty etc come up in social media and even the name of Kunchacko Boban had come up in social media for the award of best actor.

The jury Chairman had his own views regarding the awards and he explains why they chose Dulquer Salmaan over Mammootty, Prithviraj etc. He said that when the performance of them are considered, they were not really up to the performance level showed by Dulquer Salmaan in Charlie. Mohan said that Dulquer’s performance in Charlie was very different and fresh when it was compared to Mammootty’s performance in Pathemari. Mammooty’s performance as Pallickal Narayanan was good but there is not much variety or never seen before stuff in that performance. He had played the same kind of character many times in his career and it was one such character he played again as usual.

But Dulquar had given a stylized performance giving special mannerisms to the character named Charlie. It was a difficult role to convince as well. But he had done it quite well. In Prithviraj’s case as well. There was not anything great in his performance as Moideen and that is why he also eliminated from the race along with Mammootty at first stage itself. Jayasurya was the only one who competed with Dulquer Salmaan till the last round.

While selecting the best actress award, Parvathy was the unanimous choice even though they considered Deepthi Sathi as well for her performance in Neena, directed by Lal Jose. He also mentioned that even though many films had come for competing in the awards, the quality was not much there. Something have to be done to increase the quality of films as well.

Jayasurya’s next film named IDI – Inspector Dawood Ibrahim will start tomorrow at Mangalapuram. It will be directing by actor Sajid Yahiya and Jayasurya will be playing an action hero in this film. The film follows an action-comedy genre and it is one of the big budget films in his career as well. The other artists who playing key roles in this film includes Joju George, Saiju Kuruppu, Sudhi Koppa etc and Shivada Nair who played the heroine in last year Jayasurya- Renjith Shankar film Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam will play the female lead in this film as well.

This film was earlier planned to do with young actor Asif Ali and due to some unknown reason it was later came to Jayasurya. This will be Sajid Yahiya’s first film as a director as well. Jayasurya had played many cop roles in his career including the one in Mumbai Police, which is one of the most notable characters of his career. But in this film he will be playing a real mass police character which is very different from his other police characters which he played till now in his career.

Jayasurya will have projects like Pretham directed by Renjith Shankar and Aadu 2 as well this year and there are reports that there will be a sequel to Punyalan Agarbathees as well. Reports says that Jayasurya will play the lead in next Lijo Jose film as well. He had won the special jury award in this year’s state film awards for his performance in films like Kumbasaram, Lukka Chuppi and Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam in which he acted last year. He is having a success streak as well with films like Amar Akbar Anthony and Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam, which had become commercial success last year.

Now, as the news about IDI has come, his fans and film lovers are already started to hope high, as they know that this actor can deliver magical performance in a mass role too. He had grown as an actor in a big way as well in last few years.

After the announcement of Kerala state film award 2016, as usual criticisms are coming from social media and from all other corners against the jury members. It seems nobody liked the best actor award given to Dulquer Salmaan and everybody thinks that the award was deserved by actors like Mammootty, Jayasurya and Prithviraj and . But as per the comments from jury members, Mammootty was not even considered for best actor award during the process. They explains it as well why they don’t considered Mammootty for the award.

According to jury members, Jayasurya and Dulquer Salmaan was the only ones who considered for award in the last round of awards. Jury chairman Mohan said that Mammootty had done similar kind of roles many times in his career, and there was not much variety in his performance when it was compared to that of Dulquer Salmaan. That is the common opinion among the jury members and that is why they went for Dulquer over Mammootty.

Mohan also said that Jayasurya had done a very good job and that is why he got the special jury award. Mammootty and Prithviraj did not given such a great performance to stand up with the performances of Dulquer Salmaan and Jayasurya. Dulquer had given special mannerisms that was suited for his character and it was very fresh and convincing as well according to the jury members. That is why he got the appreciation over others.
