Mohanlal plays a store manager in Manamantha
We all know that Mollywood super star Mohanlal is doing two Telugu films this year and the shooting of one film is already completed. It was directed by National award winning director named Chandrashekhar Yeleti and Mohanlal plays the male lead in it. Gauthami and Urvashi plays the female leads in the film and it is titled as Manamantha. It is a family drama and as per the latest reports, Mohanlal plays the character of a store keeper in this film. He is a middle class man and running a middle class life. The character has not much heroism and he is a common man.
This news is very pleasing to his fans and film lovers as whenever Mohanlal plays the character of a common man or a middle class ordinary character, he had provided us the finest examples of natural acting and really the magic of it. In Mollywood most of his common man roles were considered as the best and it had acquired cult classic status as well. Many of his common man roles had created such an impact here in Kerala that he had become the most popular Keralite of the 20th century and after. Whenever he plays the character of a common man, he was astonishingly convincing and gives as the feeling that he is just living in front of the camera as that character.
Mollywood had witnessed histories being created by this man at box office by playing common man roles while other stars had to play mass roles to create record breakers. The last example was 2013 film named Drishyam, which had become the biggest ever success in Mollywood and still ruling the charts like an emperor. It had 4 Indian language remakes and now remaking to an international level as well.
Mohanlal don’t even used much make up in Manamantha to make that ordinary man character to look natural and he had learned Telugu to dub naturally for the film as well. His next Telugu film will start this month, titled as Janata Garage. It will have Jr. NTR with him and will be directed by Koratala Siva.
