Darvinte Parinamam Release Date Confirmed !

Prithviraj who is going through the best phase of his career will come to you with his next release on this March 18th. He is now had 4 box office successes in a row and looking for his fifth consecutive super hit with his next flick named Darvinte Parinamam.

Only Mohanlal and Dileep had done it in Mollywood after 2000. Mohanlal had did it in 2006-2006 and Dileep had done it in 2002-2003. Now its Prithviraj’s turn to repeat the box office magic. This film Darvinte Parinamam is directed by Jijo Antony and he was earlier given us the Kunchacko Boban starrer film named Konthayum Poonoolum.

This film is produced by Prithviraj himself under his banner of August Cinemas in which actor Arya, Shaji Nadeshan, Santhosh Sivan etc are partners. Chemban Vinod is playing the title character of Darwin in this film and KL10 Pathu fame actress, Chandni Sreedharan is playing the female lead. The film is written by Manoj Nair and the music for this film is tuned by Shankar Sharma. Abinandam Ramanujan had cranked the camera for this flick.

Prithviraj playing the character named Anil Anto in this film and it has Soubin Saheer, Balu Vaghese etc as well apart from Prithviraj, Chandni Sreedharan and Chemban Vinod. Prithviraj is currently busy with his work in Sujith Vasudev directorial filmnamed James and Alice which had Vedhika playing the lead role.

Dulquer Salmaan-Rajeev Ravi film titled as Kammatti Paadam !

The much awaited Rajeev Ravi directorial film starring Dulquer Salmaan is titled as Kammatti Paadam. Eralier there were rumors that the film had titled as Kalippu. But now the title of the film is confirmed as Kammatti Paadam. The final schedule of the film is going on now in Kochi. The first schedule of the film had already completed at Mumbai. Dulqurr Salmaan joined the sets of the film after he completed Charlie last year. He is doing Sameer Thahir directorial film named Kali as well along with this film. The screenplay of the film is written by P Balachandran, who is a popular actor as well as film maker.

P Balachandran had earlier scripted three films and two of them with Mohanlal in the lead. One is Kamal directorial film Ulladakkam and another id TK Rajeev Kumar directorial film named Pavithram. Another film he wrote was Punaradhivasam. He had directed a film as well named Ivan Megharoopan. Kammatti Paadam is a place behind the KSRTC Bus stand at Ernakulam. The film is telling a story that travels through different periods and Dulquer Salmaan is sporting a different look for this film as well. They had shot the film in complete secrecy by not even giving much details about the movie.

There were earlier reports that the film will be telling a story that had connections with underworld situation. Reports even said that Dulquer is playing a smuggler in this film as well. But no official confirmation had come regarding this detail. This is Rajiv Ravi’s 3rd flick as a director and his earlier Mollywood flicks were Annayum Rasoolum with Fahad Fazil in the lead and Njan Steve Lopez with Farhan Fazil in the lead. Both were highly appreciated and discussed movies even though not ended up as box office successes. B Ajith Kumar is the editor of the film and other artists who is a part of this film is Soubin Shaheer. Vinayakan, Alencier Lay etc.

The film is produced by Prem Menon under the banner of United Global Media, which had distributed Ai and Bahubali in Kerala and also produced the film Lord Livingston 7000 Kandi last year.

Fahad Fazil at last came back to the track of success with his latest release named Maheshinte Prathikaram. The film was directed by Dileesh Pothen who is popular as actor in Mollywood. The screenplay was written by Shyam Pushkaran and the film was produced by Aashiq Abu as well. Fahad Fazil who was going through the worst period of his film career for last two years had come back very strongly this year.

First he come up with a superb performance in this year January release film named Monsoon Mangoes and now with a box office success through Maheshinte Prathikaram. In this film too he had given a sterling performance. The film is now cruising at box office with good returns as well as great critical and audience reviews.

People from film industry also praising the film a lot. Actress and film Maker Geethu Mohandas, director Madhav Ramdas, Jude Anthony Joseph, Midhun Manuel joseph etc praised the film. Director B Unnikrishnan said that it was indeed one of the best in Mollywood in recent times. He said that Fahad Fazil is like Brian Lara as his come back to the winning ways is just like batting wizard Brian Lara’s come back innings. Both does not worry about loss but pays attention to what their instincts say to them. The courage is that what matters for them.

Even though Nivin Pauly starrer Action Hero Biju is getting mixed response among common people and got only an above average opening in box office, it has been blessed with great critical review and praises has been pouring in for the film from popular people and celebrities all around Kerala. This Abrid Shine directorial is getting attention for its realistic mode of telling the story and that too of the story of a police officer without much mass masala elements. It was indeed a fresh attempt and giving a new experience to the viewers. It also underlining the fact that Malayalam cinema is changing for good as well.

Ernakulam district collector Rajamanikyam says that Action Hero Biju is a film that gives an honest portrayal of the life of a police office. It is very close to real life and the detailing it had used to tell the affairs in a police station is appreciable. The way in which they told the story mixing humor and emotion was also commendable.

Writer/director Midhun Manuel Thomas says that he loved the film and it was a fresh experience for him to see a police story without fantasy elements like a hero-villain ultimate struggle. He also adds that it was very realistic as well because from his experience he can say that now-a-days the young police officers in our state is more or less like Biju Paulose. He says Bharath Chandran IPS is our Fantasy hero and Biju is our realistic police hero now. He also congratulated the whole cast and crew of the film.

Director Rajesh Pillai said that this one was one of the best he saw in the recent times and was very much sad to hear some negative comments about the film from public. He said that the film had made him laugh, cry and think at the same time and each artists had just lived as the characters as well. Vineeth Sreenivasan appreciated Abrid Shine for making such a different movie and Nivin Pauly for producing such a different film. He said that it is really fresh experience for him and it will be for all those who will watch it from theaters and later by other means.

B Unnikrishnan also praised the film’s making, the realistic mood and he said that Suraj Venjarammoodu was just stunning in his cameo. Aju Varghese said that the film is tribute to the police force of Kerala. Jude Anthony Joseph who is acted in this film as well said that he is now feeling proud as he became a part of this wonderful film.

Mammootty’s latest film Puthiya Niyamam is all set to release on this coming Friday and everybody is eagerly waiting for this family thriller. The film is directed and scripted by popular screenplay writer and director AK Sajan. The film had earlier planned as a last year Christmas release and due to some technical problems, they had to postpone it to this year January and later to February 12th.

The teaser of the film had released few weeks back and generated good response among the viewers. They had announced at that time that there will be a trailer for the film just before the release of the film. But now they said that there will be no trailer release for the film as they had dropped the plan to release the trailer of the film due to some technical difficulties.

So the film will come this Friday without a trailer and hopes that it will get a thumps from the audience. They had requested for the support of the viewers as well. Sometimes trailers gives great hype to films which negatively affects it. So the lack of trailer may be a blessing in disguise for Puthiya Niyamam as it can decrease the hype around it.

This Mammootty- Nayanthara starrer had already created certain amount of hype due to its star cast and also due to the stories that came after it began the shoot. There were reports that this one will be the one which will break the record of Drishyam, which holds the record of biggest ever hit in Mollywood. Fans also believes that this flick will mark the entry of Mammootty films to the 30 crore box office club of Mollywood.

The film has cameos by Tamil Star Arya and reports saying that S N Swamy, the popular screenplay writer is doing a very important role in this film as well. This will be Mammootty- Nayan Thara team’s 4th film and their last association was a success which released last year directed by Siddique titled Bhaskar the Rascal.

Popular national news channel CNN IBN is conducting a poll to find out the best south Indian actor of the year 2015. As per the latest status, Mollywood super star Mammootty is leading the polls with almost 45% of votes casted for him. He is nominated to the list for his performance in the film named Pathemari directed by Salim Ahammad. Pathemari was released in last year October month and received great critical appreciation as well as good commercial success. Kollywood super star Thala Ajith was at the second spot behind Mammootty in the poll with almost 23% of votes casted for him.

Thala Ajith was nominated to the list for his performance in the film named Yennai Arindhaal directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. Yennai Arindhaal was also a critical and commercial success in Kollywood. Actors like Kamal Haasan, Prithviraj, Dulquer Salmaan, Prabhas etc were also in the list for their performances in films such as Papanasham, Ennu Ninte Moideen, OK Kanmani and Bahubali respectively. Prabhas is at the 3rd spot in the list with almost 12% of votes
