Will Action Hero Biju surpass Loham first day collection record ?

Nivin Pauly’s first release after the blockbuster success of Premam, the film from the success team of Nivin Pauly and Abrid Shine after state award winning super hit film 1983 and the first ever production venture of Nivin Pauly and that too in association with director Abrid Shine, the first cop role in Nivin Pauly’s career and there are many reasons like this for people to wait for the release of Action Hero Biju and that wait will be over by tomorrow morning.

The film will hit the screens all over Kerala tomorrow and from day after tomorrow it will have an all India release as well. The film said to have got more than 100 screens and now everybody’s eyes on the earning of the film in its first day. The first day collection record in Mollywood is hold by Mohanlal starrer Renjith film named Loham, which had got more than 2.50 cr from its first day. It had released in 141 screens all over Kerala. Everybody wants to know will Action Hero Biju surpass that record or not.

Earlier Dulquer Salmaan starrer film Charlie expected to cross that mark but failed to do it. As per reports Charlie had got a first day earning around 2.18 crore. Mohanlal starrer film Casanovva was at the top with 2.10 crore collection and Loham broke that record by earning 2.54 crore on its first day. Earlier some medias reported that Loham had earned rupees 2.19 crore in its first day to break Casanova record. But later, the producer of the film revealed to media that the actual earning of the film on its first day is above 2.50 crore.

Now, Action Hero Biju which got more than 100 screens and great anticipation level can create a challenge before Loham’s record. Even though there is a chance of Action Hero Biju surpassing the record amount, we have to say that it is a big challenge before the film. To bring in that much of people, which a Mohanlal film can bring in to the cinema hall is an uphill task for other stars in Mollywood. Let’s wait and see whether Nivin Pauly can make it or not.

Malayalam cinema is now going through a period in which Young stars are coming forward with clear attitude and good star power to rule the box office. We are not saying Super Stars like Mammootty and Mohanlal is down or something like that. Still they are the ones ruling this industry and no one can boast of the mass effect creates by them here with their films. But now Youngsters have a say of their own as well. We are saying this now because in last two days almost four first look posters had released in Mollywood and all of them had Young Stars playing the lead.

First Look of Kali, the film directed by Sameer Thahir and starred by Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi had come out and getting great attention. After the success of his last film Charlie, Dulquer will love to continue his winning streak with this one too on which people had great expectation. Dulquer Salmaan and Sameer Thahir associated once for the film named Neelakasham Pacha Kadal Chuvanna Bhoomi which got critical appreciation but not done much in box office.

The next first look came was from Renjith Shankar who published the first look of the next film and it is titled as Pretham. Jayasurya is playing the lead in this film which is touted as a horror comedy.

Prithviraj, who is now releasing first look posters of his upcoming films one by one also released first look posters of two of his upcoming films. One is the film titled Oozham which will be directed by master director Jeethu Joseph and another is the first look of the film Vimanam, which will be conceived by Pradeep M Nair, who is a debutant. Vimanam will be based on a real life story as well.

All first look posters are very well accepted by the audience and all of them had become a topic of discussion as well. Prithviraj had earlier released the first look posters of 3 of his upcoming films such as Karnan by RS Vimal, James and Alice by Sujith Vasudev and Darwinte Parinamam by Jijo Antony.

Prithviraj-Jeethu Joseph team again and this time with Oozham

Super director Jeethu Joseph and young super star Prithviraj is joining hands again and this time with a film named Oozham. The first look of the film is already out. Earlier there were rumors that the Jeethu Joseph-Prithviraj film is named as Kuppi. But now with the official first look and title, that rumor died out. Reports says that this film will be the Onam release of Prithviraj this year. Prithviraj-Jeethu Joseph team’s first association was in 2013 and it was a film named Memories which also released in an Onam season. It was a super success as well. So there is great hope among the viewers when this combo unites for another venture.

Oozham is also said to be a crime thriller just like Memories, which was an investigation thriller in which Prithviraj played an alcoholic cop named Sam Alex. Jeethu Joseph had later directed 3 films in his career. One is Drishyam with Mohanlal in the lead which is still the highest ever grosser in Mollywood history with a total business done about 75 crores. Later he had done its Tamil remake with Kamal Haasan in the lead and also a Malayalam film with Dileep named Life of Josootty. Papanasham did well in Tamil Nadu but Life of Josootty not done much great in box office.

Prithviraj had went through a lean patch in 2014 and in the beginning of 2015 but came strongly with 4 consecutive successes and 2 of them are made its spot among the all-time blockbuster list of Mollywood. Ennu Ninte Moideen, Amar Akbar Anthony, Anarkkali and Pavada are those successes. He is now busy with Sujith Vasudev directorial film james and Alice. After that he may begin the film named Ezra directed by debutant Jaya Krishnan. Jeethu Joseph film also begin along with it or right after that.

Reports says that the title may change as already a Malayalam film had released with the same title Oozham, years back. Anyway, now it’s ‘Oozham’ for Jeethu Joseph and Prithviraj and let’s wait for it.

Puthiya Niyamam Hindi remake confirmed !

Mammootty-Nayanthara starrer film Puthiya Niyamam which was directed and scripted by AK Sajan will hit the screens on this coming February 12th and everybody is eagerly waiting for it. But as per the latest reports, the film is all set to be remade to Hindi as well. Director AK Sajan himself revealed this news to the media. AK Sajan said that both Vidya Balan and Kangana Ranaut liked the screenplay of the film and the team behind the film had arranged for them to watch the film in Mumbai. They hope that either Vidya Balan or Kangana Ranaut will do the film in Hindi.

The film is much anticipated one due to the star cast also gave great expectation to the audience with a superb teaser that released last week. And there are reports that the film is a family thriller and will have something very special like what we saw in Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph’s team’s Drishyam. Those reports that doing the rounds in social media is giving great hype for the film as well.

Mammootty plays the character named Advocate Lous Pothen and he is a popular figure. He is a film critic, political analyst, commentator and a communist as well. He married to Vasuki, who is a Brahmin girl played by Nayanthara. She is a Kathakali artist as well. He had a daughter and they are leading a happy life.

AK Sajan says that the film has light hearted comedies and it’s not a laugh riot. There are not many characters in the film as well. Most of the screen space was took by Mammootty and Nayanthara and other than them there is only a few important characters. As per reports Tamil Actor Arya doing a cameo in the film and actors like Aju Varghese, Renji Panicker. Writer SN Swamy also coming as different characters in this film.

Reports also says that Nayanthara had dubbed herself for this film and it will be one of her finest performance till date as well.

And another happy and proud moment came to his life last day. Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay invited him to his office and met him there to appreciate him for the wonderful work he had done in Premam. Nivin Pauly posted a photo with Vijay on his official Facebook page which was took during the meeting with Vijay in his office in Chennai.

Nivin Pauly says that Vijay is a simple and down to earth person with no aura of stardom around him after being the biggest star there. He said that he talked a lot with Vijay about cinema and also about Vijay’s love for Kerala. Nivin says that it was a memorable day in his life and appreciations from people like Vijay will give extra boost and push to one like him to do more god movies and make extra effort to do well. He says that Vijay’s honest behavior and simple lifestyle in fact a treat to watch. Nivin thanked Vijay for inviting and appreciating him and also said that along with his fans he too waiting for the release of Vijay’s upcoming film Theri directed by Atlee.

Nivin Pauly’s Action Hero Biju conceived by Abrid Shine will release on this coming Thursday. Its his first production venture as well. Premam was his last release and it had given him a lot of appreciations from many Kollywood stars like Dhanush, Selva Raghavan, Shankar and now Vijay. He developed a great fan base there too with Premam which had ran more than 250 days in Chennai and still continuing there.
