I have no issues with Nivin Pauly, says director Lal Jose

There has been a news doing its round in social media that Lal jose and Nivin Pauly had a fall out and Lal Jose dropped the Nivin Pauly project. Some medias said that Lal Jose had dropped Nivin Pauly from his film and replaced him with Tovino Thomas. The reason for this fall out was said to be Nivin Pauly’s bad behavior with Lal Jose when he met him to discuss the script of their next film. But Lal Jose said to media that there is no such problems between him and Nivin Pauly and all those reports were just fake ones created by some people.

Lal Jose said that he had decided to make a film with Nivin in the lead and they had decided a story for it as well. But later there comes some problems in the story and it needs some corrections. So they decided to drop the project as of now. That not means they dropped it completely but it will start if all the corrections were made in the story line. Lal Jose said that Nivin’s two upcoming films will be distributing by his company LJ films and if they had any problems between them, will that happen..?

Nivin Pauly’s Action Hero Biju by Abrid Shine and Jacobinte Swarga Rajyam by Vineeth Sreenivasan will be distributed by Lal Jose. Lal Jose says that there was fake news about him and Joju George as well saying that Joju George had insulted him. Lal Jose says that it is also fake report as it never happened as well. He wonders who is making all these news and criticized them severely as well.

Lal Jose said he will be making two films in the near future and the scripts were progressing. One is by Sreenivasan and another is by Benny P Nayarambalam. Mohanlal will be the hero of the film written by Benny P Nayarambalam and it will be his first film with Mohanlal in the lead. He said that he will begin the shoot of the film as per the completion of its screenplay.

Puthiya Niyamam Release Date Confirmed !

After postponing a number of times, Mammootty’s film named Puthiya Niyamam had at last fixed its releasing date. As per the latest report, the film will release all over Kerala on the 12th of February. The film written and directed by popular writer/director AK Sajan was completed its filming in last November and was charted to release as a Christmas film on December 24. But they had postponed it at the last moment to January first week. They said that it was due to the flood in Chennai as they were not able to complete the post-production works which was going on in Chennai at that time.

But later the releasing date again changed to January 29. Then again report came that it had postponed to February 5 and now it is almost confirmed that the film will hit the screens on February 12th. Puthiya Niyamam is a family thriller in which Mammootty and Nayan Thara playing the lead roles. Mammootty is playing an advocate named Louis Pothen and Nayanthara playing his wife character named Vasuki who is a Kadhakali artist as well. Nayan Thara had acted with Mammootty last year as well in Siddique directorial film named Bhaskar the Rascal and it was a big success as well even after getting mixed reviews.

Reports says that Screen Writer SN Swamy also playing a character in this flick. The censoring of the film is over last week and it had got a U/A censor certificate and the film will have a length of 133 minutes as well as per censor certificate.

This will be Mammootty’s first film this year and he hopes to continue the good form that he got back last year after 4 years before that which was terrible for him. AK Sajan had directed films like Lanka with Suresh Gopi in the lead and Asuravithu with Asif Ali in the lead earlier in his career. But both were commercial and critical disasters. So he hopes to make a strong statement with Puthiya Niyamam for sure.

The most discussed topic in Kerala now is the Solar case related to Saritha S nair and her allegation against the Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri Oommen Chandy. Our film personlaities also following all these news like us and actor Siddique has his own opinion regarding all this matters. The recent issue in this case is that Thrissur Vigilance court had ordered to register case against Oommen Chandy and Minister Aryadan Muhammad.

Siddique says that politics is not his field but now a days our politicians are making some immature stands regarding many issues. He said that demands like Oommen Chandy has to resign from his position based on the allegations of someone like Saritha S Nair is very much immature and we need a better political environment and culture than what we already have.

He said that no one had approached him yet with the demand to enter in to active politics. He is acceptable among all politicians and he added that he has enough tensions and work load in his field, cinema. Everyone thinks that acting is an easy job but that is not the reality. Stars may get good working conditions and other facilities but some thinks acting is also as comfortable as that.

Siddique says that every actor had to deal with these tensions and problems while acting and he had seen it happening with even greats like Bharath Gopi. Siddique says that he can act well but not that well in teaching other how to act. Its another skill to tell others how to act. Siddique thank God that he reached to a level in Cinema where he don’t even expected.

According to Siddique, Mammootty and Mohanlal ais popular not only in Kerala, but in national and international level. When he goes to UAE, even Arab people asks about Mammootty and Mohanlal. Siddique opinioned that an actor has to update himself with changing times. The new generation actors had their own ways and they all have brilliant skills as well. So when an actor like him share screen space with young actors, people should not feel that his acting is outdated.

Jalam Review

Jalam was the talk of the town for weeks here in Mollywood. The selection it got to the list of films which is nominated to the group of films considered for the official Oscar entry from India had made it the center of attraction recently. This M Padmakumar directorial movie had already had invited the attention of the audience as well as critics when it recognition in last year’s Kerala State Film awards. It also screened in popular film festivals and got great appreciation as well. So when the film released today all over Kerala, the enthusiasm of people to watch the movie was very much evident in cinema halls.

Apart from that the confidence which the team behind the film showed was a real boost for the film. The producer even announced that if the spectator feel let down by the film after watching it, he or she will be given the ticket charge back with compensation as well. The special screening of the film had earlier took place at Trivandrum and many important people had attended it. People like Ex- Education Minister M A Baby and MLA V T Balram had showered the film with praises as well.

The story of the film revolves around two couples who gets a land area from government. It is given to them as a part of Pattayam issued by the ruling government near Aluva. They want to build a small house there. But due to some unfortunate situations, the land that given to them is issue to them though the survey number of someone else and they left helpless in front of that with nothing in their hand and no piece of land to live. They tries their best to stand up to the situation but it all changes when the husband goes to his homeland Chengara to sort the issues.

The film carries a really heart touching and though provoking subject and have to say that M Padmakumar had made it with utmost honesty and intensity. Probably the best work in his whole career. The film expresses the voice and concern of the common man who struggles to live here. Ordinary people’s voice never reaches to the top and they have to go through all the hardships in the world to get the authorities to hear their voice. They were treated badly and sometimes not even given the consideration that they are human beings as well like us.

TS Suresh Babu who wrote the screenplay had presented the story touching upon all the things that we see and experience in our daily life and have to say that it was very convincingly written as well. One of the best screenplay written by him and the presentation was really heart touching. Each and every incidents shown in the film has the strength to make us open our eyes to what happening to our fellow men who even denied the right to live in this society. Both the director and writer had succeeded in presenting this intense and deep plot in a simple and clear way.

Priyanaka Nair’s performance was another highlight of the film. She had given a sterling performance and just lived as the character. The matured as well as subtle performance she gave speaks volumes about the talent of the amazing actress. Jain Syriac who played the husband role was also made his performance memorable. He was at par with Priyanaka in some parts. Artists like Sethu Lakshmi, P Balachandran, Prakash Bare etc also done a great job in the film and all seems to be very convincing as the characters.

The DOP by Vinod Illampilly was great and realistic. Ouseppachan’s music was excellent and Renjan Abraham also showed his experience with superb editing. On the whole, Jalam is not just a movie but an experience which will make you feel the pain, agony and helplessness of people living around us. Never miss this experience and watch it from theaters. Because the money you give to buy the ticket of this will be going to the ones who are helpless and homerless.

We really love to appreciate the whole team for doing such a great thing and hope that the spectators will support this great cause as well. Jalam deserves it in all sense.

Dulquer Salmaan is all set to give us yet another big film. Some big names in the south Indian Film industry is joining hands for one of his upcoming projects titled Love in Anjengo. The flick will be directed by popular actor/director Pratap Pothen after 18 years. Pratap Pothen’s last movie was the evergreen success Oru Yathramozhi starred by Mohanlal and Sivaji Ganesan.

He had directed only 3 Malayalam films and all of them were well appreciated. He had directed 8 Tamil films and 1 Telugu film as well. The screenplay of this upcoming Pratap Pothen-Dulquer film is written by popular writer/director Anjali Menon who had earlier scripted for blockbuster success like Usthad Hotel and Bangalore days which also had Dulquer Salmaan in the cast list. She was directed Bangalore Days as well.

The big names not ends there. The cameraman of the film is Rajeev Menon who is considered as one of the finest cameraman in India. He is a popular director as well. This will be his first Malayalam venture as a cameraman. He had earlier acted in a Malayalam film named Harikrishnans starred by Mohanlal and Mammootty and directed by Fazil. He played the character named Gupthan in that film. The DOP of Mani Ratnam films like Guru, Bombay and Kadal was done by Rajeev Menon. He had directed films like Minsara Kanavu and Kandukondein Kandukondein.

Music Maestro Ilayaraja will be composing the music for this romantic film. The cast of the film also include some big names apart from Dulqurr Salamaan. Popular Bollywood and South Indian Film actor Madhavan will be making a guest appearance in this film. The heroine of this film also will be from Kollywood and it will be Dhansika who is going to play the heroine to Dulquer Salmaan in this flick.

The main location of the film will be a place named Anjuthengu which is near Varkkala. Long years back. The place is called as Anjengo and later come to know as Anjuthengu as of today. The story of the film set in that place named Anjengo. It will start filming in the July month of this year.

Prithviraj is cruising forward with his success story that had begun last year with Ennu Ninte Moideen. After a series of flops, Prithviraj had come back strongly with one of the all-time blockbusters in Mollywood named Ennu Ninte Moideen. Then he made another blockbuster with Amar Akbar Anthony which a multi-star film with Indrajith and Jayasurya also played the lead. After that there came Anarkkali and it was a super hit. Now in this year he had begun with Pavada and it is on its way to first super success of this year. As per the latest collection reports, the film had earned a handsome amount of 9.5 crore from 12 days of its theatrical run in Kerala.

The film had got average to good reviews from all over and there was not much negative reviews. The good mouth publicity and Prithviraj’s recent form in box office had made the film a super success from the day one of its release. The film is noted for the performances given in it by Prithviraj, Anoop Menon and Asha Sharath. This G Marthandan directorial film produced by Maniyanpilla Raju is now officially become the first super hit of 2016 as well.

G Marthandan who disappointed us last with Acha Din had staged a strong comeback as well through this success and credits also goes to Bipin Chandran who wrote the screenplay of the film. The biggest challenge before the film now to maintain a steady collection because from next week big releases like Action Hero Biju by Nivin Pauly, Puthiya Niyamam by Mammootty and Maheshinte Prathikaram by Fahad Fazil is coming and all now stands on the platform of great anticipation as well. It will be difficult for Pavada to hold its screens when a flurry of releases comes in a shot gap of time.

Prithviraj’s upcoming flick is Darwinte Parinama by Jijo Antony and it is a March 28 release as per reports. In April, Sujith Vasudev directorial film James and Alice also expected to hit the screens. Anyway Prithviraj is doing great now and we hope that he will continue like this.

Popular Mollywood actor Pratap Pothen again donning the cap of a director and it is after 18 long years that he is making a film. We already know that Dulquer Salmaan will play the lead in the film and Anjali Menon is writing the script for this film. And now the title and other details about the film has also come out. The film is titled as Love in Anjengo.

The shoot of the film will start in coming July and Tamil actress Dhansika will play the female lead in this flick. She is now busy with her works in the Super Star Rajinikanth film named Kabali. She is playing the daughter character of the Superstar in that film. The main location of the film will be the place Anjuthengu near Varkkala. Years back this place was known as Anjengo and the title suggests that.

Pratap Pothen said that Dulquer Salmaan is perfectly suitable for playing this character and apart from Dulquer, the other artists who will be working in this film is Nedumudi Venu, Lalu Alex, Soubin Shaheer, Jacob Gregory, Maniyan Pillai Raju etc. There will be four foreign actors as well working in this film. Popular South Indian and Bollywood actor Madhavan will be doing a guest role as well in this movie and the DOP of the film will be done by Rajeev Menon, one of the finest cameraman and director in our country. Rajeev Menon had cranked the camera for Mani Ratnam directorial films like Bombay, Kadal, Guru etc and this will be his first Malayalm movie as a cameraman as well.

Earlier they tried to rope in AR Rahman as the music director of the film. But that not materialized and now it will be Ilaya Raja who will tune the music for this film. It will be the 3rd script by Anjali Menon for Dulquer Salmaan. She had written the screenplay of Anwar Rasheed directorial Usthad Hotel in 2012 and later written and directed Bangalore days which also had Dulquer Salmaan. Most of the successful directors later came to industry were started as Kamal’s assistant and they learned the art of direction from Kamal. Actor Dileep, director Lal Jose, Roshen Andrews etc had worked with Kamal. Kamal’s association with Mohanlal had given us many memorable films and they are one of the best actor-director combination of our film industry.

Kamal had started his career with the success named Mizhineer Pookkal and Mohanlal was the hero in that film. Mohanlal’s character named Richard was considered as one of the best characters in his career. A hero with negative shades and that was Richard. But Kamal says that he knows Mohanlal even before the release of his first film Manjil Virinja Pookkal and Kamal told in a media interview that his master PN Menon had predicted that Mohanlal will reach the heights in cinema even before his first film released.

Kamal said that he met Mohanlal before the release of Manjil Virinja Pookkal when he was in Chennai and working as an assistant director to PN Menon, one of the masters in Mollywood. That time he just met Mohanlal once. Later when he PN Menon saw Mohanlal’s picture from a photo album given to him by Navodaya Appachan to design the posters of their upcoming movie Manjil Virinja Pookkal, PN Menon said to Kamal that this actor who is playing the villain in the film will reach the heights in cinema one day. Kamal says that PN Menon’s words become true and Mohanlal has reached in a height where no other actor from our industry ever reached.

Kamal said that he had worked with Mohanlal as an assistant director in four films before doing his first film with him in the lead. Mohanlal- Kamal team gave us the evergreen films like Unnikale Oru Kadha Parayam, Vishnu Lokam, Ulladakkam, Ayal Kadha ezhuthukayanu etc.
