Vijay vs Suriya fight in Kollywood box office in this April
If the report coming in from Kollywood is to be believed, then it will be a great fight at Kollywood box office this April. April is the month in which Tamilians celebrate their New Year. April 14th is the Tamil New Year’s day and as per reports both Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay and Nadippin Nayagan Suriya coming face to face with their films at box office.
Vijay film Theri directed by Raja Rani fame director Atlee, is all set to release on Tamil new year day, April 14 as per reports. But later the report came that Suriya is also looking forward to release his upcoming science-fiction thriller named 24 on the same day. As per reports team behind both the films want to use the holidays associated with Tamil New Year day as they will get a 4 day Holiday window that time. It will do great to the opening of films and no one want to lose it at any cost.
Even though the release dates are not confirmed officially, sources suggesting that the films of both and Vijay and Suriya will hit the screens all over in April and that too without much gap between the releasing dates. Last time they came together was at the time of the release of Velayudham and Ezham Arivu. Velayudham had won the box office battle with a clear margin and that gives Vijay a little edge over suriya this time.
But when it comes to the recent box office performance of both actor’s films, both needed a solid hit to be back on track. Suriya’s previous outing Mass by Venkat Prabhu and Vijay’s previous outing Puli by Chimbu Devan were disasters at box office. So they both need to make their upcoming movie a big success to get out from the clutches of failure that recently gripped them.
Theri is a cop story with two heroines in it for Vijay. 24 is a science- fiction thriller kind of films and it too had multiple heroines for Suriya. As per reports both actors sporting multiple getups in their films.
