Mammootty all set to play the villain role opposite Vijay ?
A report is doing its round in online medias that Megastar Mammootty may play the villain character in next Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay film which will be directed by Bharathan. Mammootty had started his year in Tamil as he is playing the hero role in the film named Peranbu which directed by Ram who is popular for his critically and commercially acclaimed film Thangameenkal. The film had already begun its filming. There were earlier reports that Mammootty- Vijay team will join together in Mohan Raja film which will be either Vijay’s 61 or 62 film. But now reports coming in that Mammootty-Vijay team will join in Bharathan’s film.
Vijay is now completing Atlee directorial film named Theri. If this news is true then Mammootty will have two Tamil Films this year. He had already acted in many Tamil films and has success there as too with Rajni Kanth and Mani Ratnam. Mani Ratnam directorial Thalapathy with Rajni Kanth is the most popular Mammootty starrer in Tamil Nadu.
In 2014, Vijay had acted with Mollywood Super star Mohanlal and it was a super success there. It was the film Jilla directed by Nesan. Now if this news is true then it will be a great treat for both the fans of Mammootty and Vijay.
Yesterday another news came in that Bharathan directorial Vijay film will have two heroines and one among them will be Mollywood actress Miya George. As per reports Miya George and Kajal Agarwal will play the female lead of this upcoming film. All these news about Miya George and Mammootty is not officially confirmed and we hope that official confirmation will come very soon.
Mammootty’s current Tamil Project Peranbu has actress Anjali playing the female lead. Other details about the movie is not available even though the shoot had started at Chennai. Mammootty’s next Mollywood release will be Puthiya Niyamam by A K Sajan in which Nayanthara is the heroine. The flick will reportedly come to the screens on the 29th of this month. He will also finish the film White directed by Uday Ananthan very soon.
Prithviraj is like Mohanlal, says Maniyanpilla Raju
Maniyanpilla Raju’s 10th production venture named Pavada will hit the screens on this coming Friday and it has Young Super Star Prithviraj in the lead. He earlier produced the film named Ananthabhdram as well with Prithviraj in the lead role and it was released in the year 2005. Maniyanpilla Raju had produced 10 films including Pavada till now and 5 of them with the great friend Mohanlal in the lead. All of them had made money at box office as well. He began his production with a Mohanlal film named Hello my dear wrong Number in which he was a co-producer.

Later he independently produced the Mohanlal film Vellanakalude Nadu which was a super success directed by Priyadarshan. Later he had produced super successful Mohanlal films like Aey Auto by Venu Nagavally, Chotta Mumbai by Anwar Rasheed etc. He also financed films like Anashwaram with Mammootty in the lead, Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu with Manju warrier etc as well. He said that he may have done his 10th film with Mohanlal as well. But he chose Prithviraj because of this personal attachment with him and also for the reason that Prithviraj is like Mohanlal.
Maniyanpilla Raju says that Prithviraj is very good human being just like Mohanlal. Like Mohanlal he never flatters anyone just to be a part of cinema industry. If he does not like something he will say it openly and it is because he got a great personality. Maniyanpilla Raju said that Prithviraj’s mother Mallika Sukumaran was his classmate and his father Sukumaran was also one of his great friends. He even carried Prithviraj in his arms when he was a kid and that personal attachment was there with him as well. That is why he want to make his 10th film with Prithviraj in the lead.
Maniyanpilla Raju said that the growth of Prithvi Raj as an actor and a star after the film Celluloid was phenomenal and he wants to do good films rather than doing some films without looking at its merit. That is why his films are continuously becoming box office successes.

Prithviraj starrer flick named Pavada is coming on to the silver screens of Kerala from the 15th of this month. The film is directed by G Marthanadan who had earlier directed Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus and Acha Dhin with Mammootty in the lead in both films. The film has been produced by popular actor Maniyanpillai Raju and this is his 10th production venture. Maniyan Pillai Raju has great hope on this one and he said in a media interview that Prithviraj had made them change the screenplay of the film 4 times before agreeing to do this film.
Maniyanpillai Raju said that he had to rewrite the screenplay with four different script writers to convince Prithvi Raj to do this film. Four times Prithvi Raj had rejected the screenplay saying that he is not satisfied with the script. Then Maniyan Pillai Raju made Bipin Chandran to write the script of this film and Prithviraj was impressed by that. Earlier when he was not satisfied with the scripts he said to Maniyan Pillai Raju that he can make this film with any other actor. But Maniyan Pillai Raju was adamant that he will only make this film with Prithvi Raj in the lead and he waited for long to make the script perfect and make Prithvi act in it.
Maniyan Pillai Raju said that the script is one which creates a happy mood and its making was superb as well. Among all the 10 films he had produced, this one may be the best one in terms of its budget and he also believes that this one may be the film which will get the maximum theater run as well among the films he produced till now.
He also said that Prithviraj had rejected the scripts at first because he wanted the film to be good. He said each time that the script is good but it is not the film that has to come from their association. Maniyan Pillai Raju believes that this will be a film which will bring out another aspect of Prithvi Raj as an actor and all the actors in it had given one of their best performance till date as well.

It has been a big news when it came that Mohanlal- Major Ravi team is uniting again for a Military film and as per reports the film will be based on the India- Pakistan war that happened in the year 1971. There were reports that Mohanlal may play triple role in it. But now the report coming from Major Ravi himself, says that Mohanlal is playing the character of the famous character Major Mahadevan in this film. As the film is happening around the time period of 1971, the central character or the focus of the story will be on the father figure of Major Mahadevan, who will be played by Mohanlal.
Major Mahadevan is undoubtedly the most popular Military character we ever seen in Mollywood and the character first came through the film named Kirthichakra. It was the directorial debut of Major Ravi and was a super successful film as well. Then he came again through the film named Kurukshetra, this time as Colonel Mahadevan. It was a Major Ravi film based on the Kargil War and it was too a box office success. But the last outing of Colonel Mahadevan was not a success and it was through the film named Kandahar based on an aeroplane hijack. Now through this film, 1971 War, that character is coming back. But the focus this time will be on his father character.
Major Ravi says that there will be war sequences in the film but it will be an emotionally deep film as well which gives us the mental conflicts of the soldiers that guards the border of both India and Pakistan. Major Ravi says he is now looking for an actor who can play the main role of Pakistani Army leader. He already contacted some Punjab based actors but not confirmed their participation yet.
They are waiting for the permission of Indian army to shoot in some high security areas in Punjab and Rajastan. They hopes that can be able to start filming in the coming May. Mollywood film lovers are eagerly waiting see Mohanlal’s Military avatar again on screen.

Prithviraj to play the lead in Jinu Abraham’s flick Adam
Young Star Prithviraj already got a handful of projects as he is going through the best time of his career. There is a lot more projects lined up for him as well apart from what he had already committed. Now, another film also come to that list and it will be the maiden directorial venture of Jinu Abraham who had written films like Masters and London Bridge which also had Prithviraj in the lead. This film which will be written and directed by him is titled as Adam and will begin its shooting once Prithvi Raj completes the projects he had already committed.
The flick will be produced by CS Stanly and Jose Simon under the banner of Mass Media Productions. The film will be a family thriller and the main locations of the film will be Scotland, Kochi and Mundakkayam. There will be two female leads in this film and the DOP of the film will be Jomon T John. Prithviraj will play the title character named Adam John Pothen and he is a High range planter. Debutant William Francis will tune the songs for this film and editing will be done by the experienced Renjan Abraham.
Even though Masters and London Bridge which is wrote by Jinu is not box office successes, he had impressed many with his screenplays. Specially the one named Masters directed by Johny Antony. Master is an investigation thriller which had Prithvirajand Tamil actor Sasi Kumar played the lead roles. Londin Bridge was a romantic movie directed by Anil C Menon.
Prithviraj will begin this year with the shoot of Sujith Vasudev’s debut directorial venture named James and Alice. He will have two release in the beginning of this year in the form of Pavada directed by Marthandan and another one is Darwinte Parinamam directed by Jijo Antony. Pavada will release next week and the other one is not yet confirmed its releasing date. Prithviraj will have projects by Blessy, Hariharan, Jeethu Joseph, Roshen Andrews etc as well in this year along with an RS Vimal directorial Magnum opus.

Director VR Gopalakrishnan committed Suicide last day !
shocking news that came yesterday which really made Malayalam Film lovers sad is that writer/ director VR Gopalakrishnan committed suicide last day. His committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling of his house roof. He was living at Ramanadhapuram in Palakkad district and was 60 years old. Still the reason behind the suicide of VR Gopalakrishnan is unknown.
He had written the screenplays of many super successful movies in Malayalam and his association with Priyadarshan had produced successes like Vandanam, Cheppu and Dhim Tharikida Thom etc. His last popular success was Dileep starrer flick Ee Parakkum Thalika.
He had also directed noted films like Bharya, Kakkathollayiram and Kazhchakkappuram etc. His other noted screenplays are for the film Cabinet, Killadi Raman, Kothuka Varthakal etc. He had worked as the associate of Priya Darshan and Balu Kiriyathu and in some films he was the chief associate director as well. His wife is Geetha and have two sons named Arjun and Aravind.

It is very strange that now-a days all Vijay films has two heroines in it playing significant roles. In his last film Puli as well there is two heroines in the form of Sruthi Hasan and Hansika Motwani. His current project also got two and his next one also will have two as we mentioned above.
