Premam run not terminated, it’s continuing in Chennai !

Yesterday reports came in that Malayalam blockbuster named Premam, which had created history in Tamil Nadu by running 230 days continuously there, will end its run with the evening show 13th January 2015. From today the Pongal release of Kollywood will start screening there and Premam reportedly all set to end the dream run of its by evening tomorrow.

But the happy news is coming in right now says that Premam run is not terminated there as it is still showing there at the Escape Cinemas and the show time is 12.30 PM in the noon. The film had run 230 days there and now it’s looks like it will continue to create records by running beyond 230 days.

It’s a stupendous achievement for the film when we mind the fact that no other films whether its Malayalam or Tamil film had run even 100 days there in Chennai for the last one year. Mohan Raja-Jayam Ravi film Thani Oruvan is the film that played highest number of days there, after Premam. But Thani Oruvan had just run 85 days there as per reports and the difference between the top and the second one in the list vast.

Monsoon Mangoes, the new film starring Fahad Fazil is going to hit the screens on this coming Friday, January 15th. The flick has been directed by the debutant Abi Varghese who is already popular through the Television comedy serial named Akkarakazhchakal. The trailer of the film Monsoon Mangoes is already Viral in social media and the expectation is risen after the release of the trailer.

Everybody thinks that this will be a real comeback from Fahad Fazil who was going through a bad patch in terms box office success off late. But director Abi Varghese says that he focused on Fahad as an actor than Fahad as a star in this film. Abi told to South Live Online Media, in an interview, that he forgot to say cut at many parts when he was filming the acting of Fahad Fazil for this film.

Abi Varghese says that it was tremendous to watch him perform as the character and even after he completes the scene, the director and cinematographer will stand mesmerized by his performance and forgets to cut the scene. The expression he gives through his eyes was just fabulous and Abi says that he even wondered thinking about how Fahad can do that through his eyes. He said that Fahad’s scenes, specially, the combination scenes with Vijay Raz was just amazing and both of them had really did a fantastic job together. Watching both of them performing and improvising while performing is a pleasure to watch.

Abi Varghese says that he consider Vijay Raz as one of the best actors India have today and his character will be one of the highlights of the film. The communication that Fahad and Vijay Raz creates without even uttering the dialogues is a real treat to watch as a director behind the camera and it will be the same for the audience as well.

Fahad is playing the character named Daweed Pallickal in this film who wants to make a film even though he is not that talented enough. According to Abi, it will be a different experience for the viewers as they had put all their efforts in it to make it a great product.

Actor Dulquer Salmaan is very happy now as his last release Charlie had become a box office success. After the failure of 100 days of love, it was a really strong comeback by him as a star and as an actor. Because he had shown his star power at box office with a great opening to his film in box office and now getting great critical appreciation for his acting skills as well.

Till now there was a criticism that Dulquer is acting in the same way as he did from the start of his career and every character he plays more or less looks alike in its performance. But in Charlie he really turned the tables and we can undoubtedly tell that this is indeed the career best performance of Dulquer Salmaan as an actor as he really lived as Charlie on screen. There is another happiness for him along with the appreciation he got for his acting skill. It is that the song he had sung for the film under the music direction of Gopi Sundar has become a huge hit and it had already crossed 10 Lakh viewers in You Tube. But Dulquer said in an interview to Mangalam that there is less chance that he will take that risk of singing again.

Dulquer had sung in two films before. It’s for the film ABCD and Manglish. Gopi Sundar was the music director of both the films. Dulquer says that it is because of Gopi Sundar forced him to sing in those films that he sung. When it comes to Charlie it was Martin Prakatt who forced him to sing. He was not at all confident to sing but have to sing because of the director of the film. He says that he is not at all a good singer and everybody can understand it when they watch the song he sung in Charlie. So that is why he said that in future there is very less chance of taking that risk of singing in a film.

Even though Dulquer Salmaan says he is not a good singer, all the 3 songs he sung was quite a success among the audience.

Pulimurugan, without much doubt we can say that this has been the most anticipated Malayalam movie from the time of its announcement and you all know what may be the reason for that. Yes, you guessed right, Its Mohanlal. That name is enough for each and every film lover here in Kerala to wait for a film and if that film is a big one then the hype will go to a height which other actors here can only think of in their dreams.

This project directed by hit maker Vysakh and scripted by Udaya Krishna, who was a part of one of the most successful script writing duos Mollywood ever, is all set to hit the screens in the coming April/May. The film is produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam under his own banner of Mulakupadam films. The film said to have more than 125 days of shooting as it has a big canvas and Mohanlal had given close to his 100 days for the shoot of the film. The film now had a final schedule before pack up and reports coming in that it will have an 18 days extended climax shoot as it will be shot in a grand scale.

Mohanlal who is working now in a Telugu Film named Manamantha will join the sets of Puli Murugan on 17th January as per reports. There are reports that they will shoot the film in Banghok as well. Peter Hein, who is the stunt master of this film had reportedly said that this is the most challenging film after Bahubali, when it comes to the work he had put in. There is much importance to VFX in this film and that is why the climax shoot will require 18 days. Peter Hein had posted the photos with the tigers they are using in the film from Banghok. The film will have equal importance to human and animal emotions.

This is said to be one of the biggest films ever made in Mollywood and in Mohanlal’s career as well. The look of Mohanlal in the film is already going viral all around Kerala, specially, in Social Media.

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s 4 films to run at the same time in theaters from this Friday

On January 14th, Prithviraj’s first release in this New Year will come and its Pavada directed by Marthandan and scripted by Bipin Chandran. The film is produced by Maniyanpilla Raju and it is his 10th production venture as well and second one with Prithviraj in the lead. But there is a very interesting thing going to happen from this Friday when Pavada releases in theaters here in Kerala. When it releases, it’s going to be 4 films starring Prithviraj will be running in the theaters in Kerala at the same time.

Ennu Ninte Moideen, Amar Akbar Antony, Anarkkali etc will be the 3 other films along with Pavada which comes this week. Ennu Ninte Moideen which had become the second biggest grosser from Kerala right behind Mohanlal’s Drishyam had relaesed on September 21st 2015. Even though it had almost terminated from the A class theaters here, it is still running in B and C class theaters in Kerala.

Amar Akbar Antony which also become one of the mega blockbuster in Mollywood had released on October 16th, last year and it is still running in some A class theaters along with B and C classes along with Ennu Ninte Moideen. The 3rd one is Anarkkali, which had become a super hit in box office is still running in some A class releasing centers and will continue its run in B and C class screens as Pavada arrives on A class releasing centers from this Friday.

This will be phenomenal for any actor to have his 4 films running in the theaters here at the same time. Earlier in 1980’s and early 1990’s, Mammootty and Mohanlal films were played like this in Kerala as their multiple films, may be more than 4 films ran in Kerala at the same time. But that was a time when Mammootty and Mohanlal  does plenty of films in a year. So Prithviraj’s achievement now is really phenomenal as a star a now-a-days does a maximum of 5-6 films in an year and that too very rare.

SN Swamy reveals more about Mammootty’s CBI 5 !

The report has already been out some months back that Megastar Mammootty is all set to play the popular CBI character named Sethuramayyar again on screen. Earlier there were some reports that Mammootty was not keen to do the character again as he thinks that the days of Sethuramayyar is over. Some reports also said that he lost his confidence over the writer of the film SN SWamy and director of the series, K Madhu. But blowing away all that rumors it is almost confirmed now that Mammootty will again play the character of Sethuramayyar from CBI and Script writer SN Swamy now revealing more about the upcoming project to media.

SN Swamy says that they are all set to begin the film by the end of the coming April and as usual K Madhu will create the visual language of the film. SN Swamy told to media that he can’t reveal much about the storyline but it will such a tight thriller that the spectator cannot even predict what will happen in the next second in the movie.

He said even he is having difficulty in predicting that even though he is the writer of the film. It will be that tight and strong script. He also said that it will not be like other films in the series and will not be a conventional film as well. The interrogation of all the characters at the end of the film, which was a pattern of the earlier films in the series will not be there in the upcoming flick.

Apart from Mammootty it will have Renji Panicker, Sai Kumar etc and other artists are not yet decided. It will have importance to female characters and who will play those characters will be decided later. The flick will be financed by Swargachithra Appachan and SN Swamy denied the rumor that it will be the last film of CBI series. He said that it may happen again or may not happen. They are deliberately not going to end it. The news of Suresh Gopi’s participation in the film was also denied by the writer.

Last day a report came that Mollywood actress Miya George is acting with Kollywood Superstar Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay. The reports said that Miya George was chosen as one of the female leads in the film along with Kajal Agarwal. The film will be Vijay’s 60th movie and it will be directed by Bharathan who had earlier written the dialogues of super hit Vijay film Gilli and he also directed a film with Vijay in the lead titled Azhakiya Tamil Magan.

A twitter account in the name of Miya also posted an update regarding this saying that she is very happy and excited to be a part of Vijay 60 and looking forward to do the character. But Now, Miya George had come out through her official Facebook page and said that she is not acting with Vijay.

Miya said that she don’t have any twitter account and the twitter account through which the news came was a fake account in the name of her. She said that the news spread through the twitter account is also fake. She also said that everyone should ignore that fake twitter account. So now the rumor has ended regarding her participation in the Vijay movie. She had earlier acted in Tamil Films like Amara Kaviyam and Intru Netru Nalai etc and had got great appreciation for her performance in those films.

There were many rumors that Mammootty playing the Villain character in the Vijay-Bharathan movie as well. That news also not a confirmed one as Mammootty is now doing a tamil film named Peranbu directed by Ram. At first the news came that Mammootty to play negative role in Mohan Raja- Vijay film which may be his 61th film. But that project is not confirmed yet as well. Suddenly the news changed and then came in a way that Mammootty playing Villain in Vijay-Bharathan film.

There is no confirmation regarding all those news from any side, neither from sources close to the production team or from the sources close to Mammootty. Hope that just like Miya told her status , Mammootty will also reveal whether he is doing Film with Vijay or not.

Premam to end its dream run in Chennai today !

At last Premam is all set to terminate its dream run in Chennai today. The film conceived by Alphonse Puthren with Nivin Pauly in the lead had completed 230 days in Chennai. It had ran 230 days in the Escape Cinemas in Chennai and with the evening show today, the film will ends its run there. There is an interesting fact that no Tamil films were even completed 100 days there in Tamil Nadu last where as premam had ran 230 days and which is almost 8 months.

The film had become the second biggest grosser ever in Mollywood, right behind Drishyam and here also it completed around 150 days. But the run it had in Tamil Nadu was phenomenal and it is an all-time record for any Malayalam film as well. The run of the film had also made the Tamil public to demand that they don’t want the Tamil remake of the film as they loved the Malayalam version so much. Nivin Pauly’s fan base there also increased after the release of Premam and the golden run it had there. Nivin had come to the Escape Cinemas few days back and watched the film with his fans as well.

The Complete Actor Mohanlal now has a fan from South Africa as well. It is the popular body builder and actor John Lucas who admitted that he is a great admirer of Mollywood actor Mohanlal. John Lucas recently came to India for the body builders program named body builders expo. During that event he gave an interview to Musclenext Magazine and during that interview he said that he is a great fan of Malayalam films and in Mollywood Mohanlal is his favorite actor.

As per the request of the interviewer John Lucas also imitated Mohanlal’s famous dialogues like Savari Giri Giri and Nee Po Mone Dinesha from the films Ravana Prabhu and Narasimham respectively. It is not a new thing for Mohanlal as fans from all across the world reveals their admiration for him.

Earlier it was a fan from Poland came all the way from Poland to meet him and also to study about South Indian Cinema. His name is Bartoz Czarnota and he had met Mohanlal as well. Another one like this was when popular west- Indian cricket Chris Gayle had imitated Mohanlal’s dialogue Nee Pone Dinesha from the film Narasimham in a Radio Interview as per the request of the RJ. That video went viral as well.

Aadu 2 will come this year !

The most awaited sequel now in Mollywood is undoubtedly Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyanu 2. The film directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas and produced by Friday Film house was indeed a disaster in box office when it had release last year. But after the release of its DVD’s and all that the film had got great followers in social media and it had also created a new record in the DVD sales history in Mollywood. People began to ask for its sequel as well.

Then Friday Film House owners and some of the cast and crew members of the film had indicated as well that there will be a sequel to the film. But they did not revealed when it will come. Now, Sandra Thomas, one of the owners of Friday Film House told to Onlookers Media that Aadu 2 will come this year itself and the fans of Shaji Pappan did not have to wait long to see their most loved characters again.

Sandra Thomas said in an interview to Onlookers Media that when the film was bombed at the box office, they decided that they will never do films with newcomers. But later when the film began to receive great reviews and huge fan following through social Media and also when the demand for the DVD’s of the film increased day by day, they realized that it was a right decision to make the film and again they came to their path of supporting and encouraging young and new film makers.

The director of the film Midhun Manuel Thomas as well confirmed the news that Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyanu will have a sequel and Shai Pappan and his team will set out for another journey again. But he said that he is now in the pre-production works of another film of him and he will only make the sequel of the film after he finishes the one on which he is working now. Sandra Thomas told to us that they also all set to make things smooth and quick and will try their level best to make the sequel release this year itself.
