Malgudi Days getting great appreciation from super hit Malayalam directors
Anoop Menon starrer flick Malgudi Days had released Yesterday and the film had opened to positive reviews from all over. The flick directed by the trio of Vivek, Vishak and Vinod is an emotional thriller which tells a real life incident that happened in Nagaland almost 14 years back. Audience and critics had given thumps up for the film and now popular and super successful Mollywood directors also appreciated the film after watching it.
At first it was popular director Siddique who told after watching the preview show of the film that it will be a great film which will be accepted by family audience just like they accepted Bharathan directorial Malootty which released in 1992 and it was also based on a real life incident. He said that this film Malgudi Days will make the family audience satisfied.
Then came the appreciation from none other than veteran director Kamal, who said that Malgudi Days is a simple but beautiful film. It is a perfect film for children and family as a whole. It has all the elements in it for a perfect family film. Sensational director and producer Anwar Rasheed also come up with words of praise for the film. Anwar Rasheed said that Malgudi Days is a bold and strong film that conveys a strong theme. He also appreciated the experiment they had done through the film and Anwar Rasheed also mentioned that it will be a great film for family audience.
Another word of praise came from director Madhav Ramadas who had given us critically acclaimed films such as Melvilasam and Apothecary. He said that after watching the film he felt it is a film that will make Children and elders feel for the characters in the film. The thrill and suspense has kept till the very end and it was one of the highlights of the film. He said that film is not only a thriller but also a film which tells some socially relevant subjects as well.
Anyway one thing is sure that Vivek, Vishak and Vinod had really made commendable entry in to Mollywood with a bold and beautiful film.
Abrid Shine reacts against the fake news spreading related to Action Hero Biju
Nivin Pauly starrer flick Action Hero Biju is all set to release on this month 22nd and already fake news are spreading bout the film through some media pages. As per reports a popular media page had given fake reports about the film in the name its director Abrid Shine and Abrid Shine had denied all those news. He said to Onlookers Media that all that was spreading in his name about the film is fake and he did not tell the things which are spreading through Facebok groups.
The report spread is that Action Hero Biju is a pakka mass masala police entertainer with high octane action sequences. The report said that director Abrid Shine had said that after the release of Action Hero Biju, there will be one face in the hearts of Malayalees when they here police and it will of Nivin Pauly. The flick will thrash all superb police characters played by Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Mammootty or Prithviraj etc and will be going over the top of all those popular characters played by them. Report also said that this film will have great oneliners and BGM like in Suresh Gopi’s film commissioner and as per report Abrid Shine said that it will make an impact just like Commissioner made in Kerala.
But Abrid Shine said to Onlookers Media that all that reports were fake and he never told those things to any media. In fact Action Hero Biju is a simple and realistic Police story and does not have high octane action sequences or anything like firebrand cop stories. Some are desperately trying to increase the hype and expectations around the film by creating false news and thereby planning to make the film eat dust at box office.
Action Hero Biju is the joint production venture of Nivin Pauly and Abrid Shine and it is the first release of Nivin Pauly after the mega success of Premam.

A private news channel in Malayalam had telecasted a news story some weeks back which told about a girl named Sumi Raju who is in a hospital in Poojappura. She was suffering with the Autism in which her mental growth was affected. She is a great fan of Dileep and loves him like her own brother. After her parents, she admire and love this actor more than anyone in her life and she even sleeps by holding a photo of Dileep with her. Dileep had heard about this girl through media reports and he had come to meet his little fan.
When Sumi met Dileep in real life, her joy was boundless as she is seeing him for the first time off screen. He had spent some time with Sumi and also discussed with the doctors about her mental and health condition. Doctors told that his arrival will make great impact on her condition and it will have positive effect on her. Sumi is now preparing for the 10th standard Exam and she will be very happy this time as she had saw Dileep, the one whom she love the most.
Dileep also expressed his great joy after seeing Sumi and he proved that there is a deep meaning in calling him the popular actor. He is proved it once again beyond any doubt. Dileep is the one who recently visited Kanchanamala and gave all the help for the Moideen Seva Mandir when the cast and crew of the film allegedly ignored Kanchanamala. Dileep also adopted two poor children and promised to give them education and all their life expenses till they be able to stand on their own.

No courage to do a film with Mohanlal, says Martin Prakkat
Martin Prakkat is one of the few directors in Mollywood who made all the directorial ventures of his as box office successes. Martin Prakkat had come from the field of advertisement and his first film was with Mega star Mammootty. It was the film named best actor which released in the year 2010. It was a box office success as well. But Martin Prakkat is a great Mohanlal fan in his personal life and said that he had no courage to do film with a legend like Mohanlal whom he admire the most. Martin Prakkat says that Mohanlal is a great actor and for doing a film with, it needs great courage. To direct the one you admire the most always challenging.
Martin Prakkat said even though he had not enough courage now to direct Mohanlal, he will surely do a film with him in the future when the appropriate time comes and when he gets a script and character that challenges Mohanlal as an actor. Martin Prakkat’s second film was with Dulque Salmaan in the lead and it was titled as ABCD- American Born Confused Desi. It was one of the top hits of Dulquer Salmaan’s career.
Now his 3rd film had released on last Christmas and that too had Dulquer Salmaan in the lead and the film is Charlie. That film too become a success in box office and Martin Prakkatt had got great critical appreciation for his craft he shown in the film. Everybody is of the opinion that Charlie is the best film directed by Martin Prakkat till now in his career.
We hope that Martin Prakkat will get a chance very soon to direct a film with favorite actor Mohanlal. There are many reviews about Charlie which said that the character of Charlie is made in such a way that it reminds us of many vintage Mohanlal characters. May be his admiration for Mohanlal had influenced Martin Prakkat while writing the screenplay of this film along with Unni R.
Martin Prakkat also acted in a Mohanlal film named Chotta Mumbai directed by Anwar Rasheed as well in 2007.

Vijay’s Kaththi rereleasing on this coming Pongal ?
Kaththi, one of the biggest blockbuster ever in Kollywood and in Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay’s career was released in 2014. It was directed by famouse Kollywood director AR Murugadoss and had won critical and commercial appreciation. It was said to be one of the best films and best performances in Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay’s career who had played dual role in the film.
It had Samantha Ruth Prabhu played the female lead and Neil Nithin Mukesh played the villain role in it. The flick has many followers all over South India and it said to be remaking to Hindi with Salman Khan in the lead as well. But now the latest report coming in that the team behind the film is planning a re-release of the film on this coming Pongal.
In Chennai, the flick is said to be releasing again in some prominent theaters on this January 13. If the news is true then it will be a great pongal for Vijay Fans as they can celebrate the pongal with the biggest success of their favorite star this time. The news is not officially confirmed yet but the rumor is already started making buzz in social media.

Malgudi Days Malayalam Movie Review
Malgudi Days, the latest Malayalam release this week in Mollywood. The flick has been in news for a while mainly due to its title that evokes great nostalgic feeling in us and the unique thing that a director trio is behind the making of this film, probably for the first time in India. The flick has been directed and written by 3 siblings Visakh, Vivek and Vinod. Anoop Menon and Bhama playing the male and female lead in this along with two child artists who plays the central characters in the movie. The flick had been financed by V company.
The plot revolves around two children named Milan Joseph (Vishal) and Athena (Janaki). Athena lost her father in an accident when he was drowned in sea while playing with his daughter. That affects the child in a big way and she suffers a mental shock because of it. Then she was admitted in a school named Malgudi as per the advice of one of her mother’s friend. There she meets a boy named Milan and they become good friends. Once while they were playing, their ball went to a forest kind of area and when they follows the ball, they find the character played by Anoop Menon named Zephan who is badly injured. They helps him and from there the story takes a turn by focusing the life of Anoop Menon’s character in which he tells them how he happened to be in that condition and later on an incident that happens in the life of the children.
It has to say that the real life incident that happened in Nagaland way back in 1992 is presented by the director trio with utmost honesty. The screenplay was intense and the narration was engaging. It never made the audience yawn inside the cinema hall while keeping the emotional intensity of the plot. Anil Nair’s DOP was superb and was the real highlight of the film. Editing was decent but it may be great if a bit more precise at some points.
On performance side, the child artists who played the characters of Milan and Athena were superb. They really done justice to the central roles they had given. Anoop Menon was at his best in the film. The easy way in which he carries the character is commendable. He was very easy at the same time carried all the emotional struggle of the character in his shoulder in a brilliant way. Anoop was just living as the character than playing it. Bhama did not have much to do in it and other artists like Saiju Kuruppu, Priyanka Nair, Irshad, T P Madhavan etc played their part very neatly as well. Dr. Praveen’s music was melodious and really gelled well with the atmosphere created in the film.
We can say that Malgudi Days is an honest attempt to give us something very different and the trio of Vivek, Vishak and Vinod had succeeded in giving it. It was a really good entertainer as well as a film which gives us a message about parenting. It also shows certain social situation where innocent people have to pay for the crimes committed by some others. In Total. Malgudi days is a winner in all sense and will never disappoint you as a film lover.

Premam : amazing run continues in Tamil Nadu and completed 222 days
Nivin Pauly starrer Premam directed by Alphonse Puthren is continuing the dream run it had in Tamil Nadu. The latest report says that the film had completed 222 days of its theater run there. The film had ran 222 days and still continuing its run in Escape Cinemas Chennai. This is a wonder because even Tamil films did not gets a theater run above 200 days now-a-days in Tamil Nadu but a Malayalam film does it. Even last the film was houseful there and Premam Star Nivin Pauly also came to the theater for the show. He was in Chennai for the shoot of Chiyan Vikram’s short film based on Chennai flood relief activities.
Premam had achieved a great milestone in Tamil Nadu. The film had terminated in Kerala after running around 125 days here. Even though the film is celebrated here at first, then many people came against it saying that it is nothing but an over rated film. The censor copy issue also pulled down the film here. Even after all these issues Premam still remains the 2nd biggest success in Mollywood history. But the run it is having in Tamil Nadu is above all this and it seems the Tamil people loved the film more than any others. The fan base of Nivin Pauly in Tamil Nadu is been increasing day by day and that was very evident when he came last day there to watch the film. There was huge crowd gathered there to see him.
There are reports that even the Tamil film makers dropped the plan to remake it into Tamil as many popular Tamil directors said that no one in Tamil can do justice to the film which has been made memorable by Alphonse Puthren and Nivin Pauly along with other cast and crew. The Telugu remake is already started filming with the title Majnu and it has Naga Chaithanya in the lead along with Sruthi Haasan, Disha Pattani and Anupama Parameshvaran.
Anyway this great achievement by this film will really shut the mouth of its haters for sure.
