Enthiran 2 shooting starts from today

After long anticipation from fans and film lovers, the shooting of Enthiran 2 starring Super Star Rajinikanth begin today. The flick will be directed by none other than one of the most popular directors in India, The showman of Kollywood Cinema and also of South Indian Cinema as a whole, Mr. Shankar. The first part of the film which had Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead was the biggest hit in South India till the release of Bahubali this year. Now the sequel Enthiran 2 will look to take back that record from Bahubali. Director Shankar himself announced the start of the shoot through his official Facebook page last night.

As per reports the film have the highest budget ever used for a film in India and is all set to become the biggest film ever made in India surpassing Bahubali budget. There has been many rumors about the star cast of the film from long before. Names such as Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kamal Haasan, Vikram etc were rumored in media as the villain of this film. But later report almost confirmed that Hollywood super star Arnold will play the negative role in this film. He demanded rupees 100 crore remuneration for 25 days of his dates.

Later report came in that he backed from the project as the script lacked Hollywood standards and the crew is looking for a replacement for him. Then came the news that Volverine star Hugh Jackman will play the Villain character in the film as they had approached him with the project. Still its not confirmed that who will be the villain of Rajni Kanth in this movie.

As usual AR Rahman will compose the tunes for this film. Nirav Shah will be the DOP of the film and Antony will be the editor. Art direction will be done by T Muthuraj as well. The film will have Amy Jackson in the lead role and it will be financed by Lyca Productions in association with Ayankaran International. More details about the film will be updated once the film gets started today.

When we see the trailer of your latest film Style, at first we gets the impression that it follows the path of stylish Tamil and Telugu films. What really Style is all about..?

Style is a simple fun filled entertainer. It is really aimed at family audience ho can watch it and enjoy in this Christmas vacation season. It is a complete package of humor, fight, dance and romance for you all.

You are now in the 5th year of your career. How you see the growth you had as an actor during these 5 years…?

In fact this is only my 4th year in Malayalam film industry. As an actor I have grew more confident as an actor and very much excited now to do variety characters that challenges me.

You have become really selective in between.. What really motivate you for that..?

It’s the quest to do different roles. If you see the films I had done in my career, you can find different films which challenges me as an actor. There are films like Orissa, KL10 Pathu, Mallu Singh, Vikramadithyan, Bombay March 12, Kattum Mazhayum, Pathira Manal etc and now Style. All are different from each other and what i learned from that is success is very much subjective.

Now, our Malayalam film industry is changing to a level in which more importance is given to story and director than stardom or star value. As a part of this industry what’s your take on this changing circumstances..?

Changes are inevitable as time flies by. As far as I am concerned, I am happily accepting this change of thought. If I have to say an example for this change, my last film KL10 Pathu is a product of that changed circumstance you mentioned above.

Style will have a tough completion with Dulquer Salmaan’s Charlie. Both of you are good friends and what is your take on the box office war between friends in this season..?

Dulquer is one of my close friends and I really pray that both films do well at box office. There is not a war between stars. It’s the films that compete with each other.

Which is your next venture..?

It is an untitled film which will be directed by a new director named Sajan. It is a romantic comedy flick and the shoot will start from 24th December this year.

Are you in love with anyone..?

(smiling) Yes.. I am in love with Cinema. Marriage will be only after 30 years old.

All of us now is very familier with Bartosz Czarnotta who came all the way from Poland to meet his favorite actor Mohanlal here in Kerala and also to do research about South Indian Cinema as a whole. Bartosz Czarnotta who is a great fan of Mohanlal is also a fan of late Tamil legend MG Ramachandran and Superstar Rajinikanth as well. He said he also respects other actors like Mammootty in Kerala. But Mohanlal had made a special place in his heart and according to Mohanlal is the one and only complete Actor he saw. He was polish by birth and also paralyzed from his childhood. He came here on wheel chair to meet his hero and the Gods own country.

Mohanlal had met him today, on the 15th of October at Trivandrum. The place of their meeting was Nalanchira Mar Basalious Engineering College, Trivandrum. Mohanlal had a function there which was organized to encourage organ donation among youngsters and the college was declared as Organ donation friendly campus. Mohanlal had met Bartosz Czarnotta there and talked with him as well. The picture of Mohanlal happily talking with him and that too kneeling before his fan is already going viral in social media and once again Mohanlal proves his words that, for him, his fans are just like his younger brother whom he loves a lot.

Mohanlal who is regarded as a great human being apart from being the greatest actor our country had ever seen, again showed his much appreciated down to earth, simple and humble nature while meeting his great admirer who came all the way from Poland to meet him and study about South Indian Cinema. It was a dream come true moment for Bartosz Czarnotta and he was very happy and excited as well after meeting Mohanlal.

This once again shows us the fact that when it comes to popularity and peoples love, Mohanlal is far ahead than his contemporaries and the saying by one of the critics seems correct as once a critic said that there is a Mohanlal in every Malayali and Lalism is just become an emotion for Malayalees. Now it seems even people from Poland got addicted to that emotion.

The Megastar of Tollywood, the most followed star in Telugu film industry, Mr. Chiranjeevi is all set to start his 150th film and as per reports it will be the official Telugu remake of the blockbuster Tamil film named Kaththi directed by AR Murugados. The Tamil flick had Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay in the lead and it is a kollywood film that grossed more than 100 crores from box office and become a super success worldwide. He has been the backbone of his political party named Praja Rajyam and he was busy with his political assignments earlier. Now he planning to take a little break from politics and do the 150th film of his career for his fans and followers.

So there will not be any better option than Kaththi, when they looked for a film to be remade in Telugu. It has class and mass at the same time and the hero have to play dual role in it as well. The Telugu remake version will be directed by Vinayak and it will be financed by Chiranjeevi’s son and young star of Tollywood named Ram Charan Teja. Chiranjeevi had made cameo appearances in his son’s film before.

Anyway the news is now confirmed and it’s party time for the mega star fans. At last they are getting a chance again to see their hero on big screen and that too in a double mass role. Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay had got great appreciation for his portrayal of dual characters in Kaththi and it will be great to see Mega star Chiranjeevi in that role. The issue is that Shahrukh Khan sometime before had made a statement about the intolerance in our country and that had become a big controversy as well. Charlie release postponed due to theater strike !

Theater strike again making the Mollywood film lovers disappointed as the latest theater strike had reportedly compelled the team behind the film named Charlie to postpone its release to next week. The film was all set to release on this December 17th or 18th. But the strike which had begun yesterday troubled the team and now as per reports they had decided to release the film on next week and the date said to be either December 24th or 25th.

The film written by Unni R and conceived by Martin Prakkatt is the most awaited film of this year starring young star Dulquer Salmaan and Pravathy Menon in the lead. The trailer also got grand reception and the anticipation level was damn too high as well. Then comes this theater strike and it had really landed the film lovers in despair.

Films like Jo and the Boy starring Manju Warrier and Sanoop Santhosh also set to release this week and as of now they had not decided to postpone the film. But there is a chance for that as well if the strike continues. Everything will be depended on the meeting that is called today evening to sort out the issue between exhibitors federation and Government of Kerala. The issue is all about the advance money payment to the welfare fund set by Government and the amount of 3 rupees per ticket is also not agreeable to the exhibiters. This is the 3rd or 4th time this year that theater strike causing release troubles in Kerala.

Bollywood films like Dilwale of Shahrukh Khan, Bajirao Mastani directed by Sanjay Leela Bansali and Tamil film starring Dhanush named Thangamagan also set for release in the coming days here. Let’s see what happens in the meeting today and then only we can say the confirmed dates of each and every films that is going to grace the silver screens in this Christmas season here.

Biju Menon is now one of the most popular actors in Malayalam cinema and now he had his own market here as a star as well. His last year film name Vellimoonga, directed by Jibu Jacob was a blockbuster success. He had solo releases and maulti-star releases in last two years and most of them were super successes. His association with Kunchacko Boban is also very much popular and their pair is a success pair here as well. Biju Menon in a recent interview said that even though no he is developing a market of his own, he never want to be in the league of Mammootty and Mohanlal as he never even dreamt about that as well. He said that he always look up to them as they are his super stars. But for him Bharath Gopi was the one and only Megastar of Malayalam cinema as his acting skill was just superb. He is a big fan of the acting of late Thilakan as well.

He said that the success of Vellimoonga is a turning point in his career which gave a good reach among the audience here. He says that he have to thank his director for choosing as the male lea in it and also to the co-actors who done a great job. He said that there was difficulty in finding a heroine for him in the film as he is not a star. But Nikki Galrani did a great job as his pair. According to Biju Menon, the best actress he ever saw in Malayalam was Urvashi and the performance she gave along with Mohanlal in Sphadikam speaks volumes about her talent.

Biju Menon also clarified the controversy regarding the issue in which he allegedly avoided Dr. Biju when he came to him with the script of Perariyathavar. Biju Menon said that he does not know that Dr. Biju had come to meet him with a script and he was very busy at that time with climax shoot of the film which he was doing at that time.

A happy news is coming for the fans of Dulquer Salmaan and the followers of Bobby and Sanjay, the most popular script writers in Mollywood. As per the latest report from M-town, Dulquer Salmaan will play the lead role in the next film financing by Prakash Movie Tone and the screenplay of the film will be Bobby and Sanjay. Prem Prakash who is the owner of Prakash Movie Tone is also the father of Bobby and Sanjay. He had financed many films under the banner of Prakash Movie Tone and most of them are evergreen films in Mollywood as well.

The major films he financed under Prakash Movie Tone are Peruvazhiyambalam, Koodevide, Aakashadoothu, Johny Walker, Ente Veedu Appuntem, Ayalum Njanum Thammil etc. His association Padma Rajan had materialized in classic films. There has been reports that son of Sathyan Anthikkad will make his directorial debut through this movie. Anoop Sathyan is now working as the assistant director of his own father. Prem Prakash said that he financed those films which really impressed him when he heard the screenplay of those. When he heard the story of this film, he was very much impressed as well.

Prem Prakash always supported youngsters and newcomers as he introduced many to Mollywood through the production ventures of his. He had introduced Padmarajan and Jude Attipetti to the direction and also introduced actors like Rahman, Ashokan, Indrans, Biju Menon etc. South India’s popular heroine Suhasini also made her Malayalam cinema debut through the film named Koodevide which is financed by him. Now Anoop Sathyan joining that list as well.

He said to Manorama that Dulquer Salamaan also liked the story and showed his interest to be a part of the film. Now they are planning about the filming of the movie and the pre-production stage is on. Bobby Sanjay team had another projects as well. They are scripting 3 film for Roshen Andrews as per reports. One will have Kunchacko Boban in the lead. Another one will have Prithvi Raj and the 3rd one will be for Mohanlal. Kunchako Boban film is titled as School Bus and Prithvi film is titled as Nale Ravile.
