Chennai is now going down with heavy rains and the flood that is spreading to more and more areas. Many places were evacuated and people are searching for places to stay away from raising water level. More rains have been over the next 2-3 days and the relief activities is going on in quick pace. People from all around the country is coming up with helping hands. Some donating money to the relief fund and some other giving vital information to people about places to stay and contacts for an emergency situation as well.

Celebrities from Mollywood also contributing to the relief activities. Super stars of Mollywood like Mammootty and Mohanlal already giving vital contact information and information about places to stay through their Facebook page. Mammootty told that if no other place were available people can come to his home in Chennai as well. Celebrities are doing whatever they can through their contacts and reach and they are also contributing with the money they have as well. Kollywood stars like Rajinikanth, Surya, Vishal, Dhanush, Karthi, Sidharth, Vishnu Vishal, Udayanidhi Stalin, Rghavendra Lawrence and many other contributing through money, places to stay, vehicles for transportation etc as well.

Places to stay were arranged at many places like Anna Nagar, Vadapalani, Kodanbakkam, Adayar etc as well. Many universities, schools, colleges etc were opened for stay for people as well. Helps were coming through social media as well and the helps were presenting through the tag of #Chennairains. Help requests were also coming through this tag in social media circle. Many Bakers and restaurants declared that they are giving free food as well to people.

Rajinikanth’s Raghavendra Public Charitable trust also declared their full support to government in this charity activities to help the people of Chennai. It has been raining for weeks in Chennai and the situation is getting worse. More air support will be needed from now on as well. Everybody is trying their best to reduce worst case scenario by taking proper methods that can avoid danger to life. Hope everything will be ok within few weeks of time.

Prithviraj to the 100 crore club of Mollywood !

Young super sStar Prithviraj is having the time of his life as his career is going through the most shining phase. Even though he had went through a tough for the last 1 and half year, the actor had come back strongly through the film named Ennu Ninte Moideen directed by RS Vimal which released on this year September 19.

It was turned out to be the biggest blockbuster of his career and his first solo blockbuster as well. It is now on the course to replace Premam from the second spot in the all-time biggest grossers list in Mollywood and cement a place behind Mohanlal’s Drishyam which is sitting comfortable at the top and will remain there without much threat as well. But now he is all set to set a new record as well by reaching the 100 crore club of Mollywood for the first time ever by an actor in Malayalam cinema.

We are talking about the total business his films had done this year in Mollywood. Earlier Mohanlal had done a total business around 80-85 crore in 2013 with his films and this year Nivin Pualy also done a business around 90 crore through his films. Prithviraj had surpassed all that and already entered the 100 crore club with regard to the total business his films had done this year. His first 3 films this year was Picket 43, Ivide and Double Barrel and these 3 films altogether done a business around 15 crore rupees. Then came his Ennu ninte Moideen which had done a business around 50 crore rupees. The Multi-star film Amar Akbar Anthony had done a business around 30 crore and his last solo release Anarkkali also did a business around 6-7 crores as of now. In total these figures were added up to 100 crore rupees almost.

From this year Prithviraj films alone did almost 100 crore business here in Mollywood and when we add Nivin Pauly stats to this, it can reach almost 200 crore from a single year. Mohanlal and Mammootty films together had done almost 80 crore business this year as well.

Will Urumeen overcome the box office jinx that affected Mass, Puli and Vedalam in Kerala ?

On December 4, another Tamil film is making a big release here in Kerala. It is the film named Urumeen directed by newcomer named Sakhtivel Permalsamy. But the film had created anticipation to of a higher level because of one factor. It is a Bobby Sinha starrer film and he is so much popular in Kerala with his villain role in Alphonse Puthren- Nivin Pauly team’s film Neram released in 2013 and also for his cameo in Nivin Pauly-Vineeth Sreenivasan starrer film Oru Vdakkan Selfie which released this year. His Tamil films like Soodhu Kavvum with Vijay Sethupathy and Jigarthanda with Sidharth is also very popular here and for the character in Jigarthanda he had won national recognition as well last year.

Urumeen is in news for some other reason as well because the hero Bobby Sinha had engaged to the heroine of this film, Reshmi Menon even before the release as they both fell in love and all set for a love cum arranged marriage in 2016 January. Sun Ads and Film Production Company is distributing the film here in Kerala. But the biggest challenge the film is going to face here in Kerala will be the box office jinx that had affected almost all the Tamil films released here in Kerala this year. Mass, Puli, Vedalam and many other big films ate dust at Kerala Box office this year and the question is that will Urumeen overcome that jinx or not..?

Urumeen had raised great expectation among the audience with its fantastic trailer and people had already anticipating a super thriller from the team behind the film. Suriya’s Mass, Vijay’s Puli etc had failures even in Tamil Nadu as well and on the other hand Ajith’s Vedalam had made good box office collection from Tamil Nadu.

The plus point Urumeen has than all other previously mentioned films is that it does not have that unnecessary hype around it and only have the hope of being a good entertainer from the national award winning actor. That can work in favor of Urumeen big time as well. We saw that in the case of films like Thani Oruvan which gained a good mouth publicity and decent collection from here.

Mohanlal is the main topic of discussion in Mollywood all the time whether he is giving success or not. Because whatever comes related to him is so much interest for Malayali people and that is the reason he still remains the most loved actor of Kerala. But now Mohanlal had become the topic of discussion in Telugu Medias as well. That is because he is doing two back to back Telugu film in the coming days. The first one to start is the Chandrashekar Yeleti directorial project named Manamantha.

ChandraShekar Yeleti is a national award winning director and he is popular for his class films in Tollywood and the different approach he had on film making in an industry which gives predominance to mass masala films. He had won national award for the first film itself when his first film named Aithe had won the national award in the category of best Telugu film of the year in 2003. Later he had directed films like Anukokunda oka Raju, Okkadunnadu, Prayanam, Sahasam etc in his 12 year old career and all of the got great critical appreciation as well.

He had only directed 5 films in 12 years of his career and that itself shows that he not want to do some craps in the name of entertainment but want to do more class entertainers. This film Manamantha also said to be a family entertainer with lots of emotional depth as well. Gauthami will play the female lead opposite Mohanlal in the film. It will be financed by one of the popular production house in Telugu named Varahi Productions. There are reports that it will be made in Malayalam as well and touted as a bilingual project by the online medias.

Mohanlal doing another Telugu film as well with Jr. NTR in Telugu next year and it will be directed by Hit Maker Koratala Siva who delivered blockbusters with Mahesh Babu, Prabhas etc earlier. The film is titled as Janatha Garage.

Director Sajan Kurian died at Ladakh while shooting in minus temperature

Mollywood had suffered a shocking news yesterday as the director named Sajan Kurian had died at Ladakh yesterday while he was shooting his film in minus degree temperature there. The too cold atmosphere got severe and he fainted at the shooting location. Even though he was admitted in the nearby hospital, they could not able to save him.

Shine Tom Chacko is the hero is Sajan Kurian’s film Bibileo which he was filming in Ladakh area of Jammu and Kashmir. The weather was too bad there with severe cold and it had affected his health big time. The atmosphere temperature had come down to minus 24 degree when the director face death there. Sajan Kurian is a Thissur native in Kerala.

The shooting of the film was in its last stage and then this terrible incident happened. Actor Joy Mathew also acting in this film and he had come home the last day after finishing his part in the movie. Sajan Kurian had directed films like The Last Vision, Dancing death etc. But neither of them released on big screen yet. Dancing death was a film starring popular actors Jagadeesh and Pashupathi.

On December 4 this year some Tamil films are all set release and the major one among them is Pasanga 2 directed by Pandiraj which has Suriya and Amala Paul playing the lead with some children. But later it had postponed its releasing date to December 24 and at its place Bobby Simha starrer film named Urumeen had set the date of its release on December 4. It was directed by newcomer Sakhthivel Perumalsamy. The film had already generated great anticipation with its superb trailer and it was also in the news that the hero and heroine had engaged to each other before the release of their film. Bobby Sinha and Reshmi Menon had fell in love while shooting for this film and they were engaged on November 8 as well.

But the film is again in the news, but this time for not a good reason. When Pasanga 2 changed its release date to December 24, there were some posts came from some in social media that Suriya film had postponed because it had fear to fight in box office with Bobby Simha’s Urumeen. Suriya fans took up the issue and they began to attack the film Urumeen through online medias even before its release. The Kerala distributors of the film had said to medias that Pasanga 2 postponement had nothing to do with Urumeen release.

In Kerala Urumeen is distributing by Sun Ads and Film Production company which had financed and distributed Malayalam films like Ayal Njanalla this year. They had said that Pasanga 2 postponed because of some technical reason and Urumeen release had nothing to do with that. They also said that without knowing the truth some are attacking Urumeen and they have to stop it as there is nothing like that as they think about the release of the film. What went on social media is just out of their knowledge and they had nothing to do with it.

They also appealed that please don’t drag their film in to a fan fight which triggered all these issue with Suriya fans in social media.

The film named Urumeen directed by newcomer Sakhthivel Perumalsamy starring Bobby Simha and Reshmi Menon in lead roles is all set to release this week and precisely on December 4 all over. In Kerala itself it is gearing up for a grand release as is distributed by Sun Ads and Film Production Cmpany which had financed and distributed Fahad Fazil starrer flick named Ayal Njanalla this year in Malayalam. But the interesting thing related to this film is that the hero and heroine become together even before the release of the film. Yes, Bobby Simha and Reshmi Menon got engaged in November month in Chennai.

It was on November 8 that they got engaged at a private guest house near Mylapore in Chennai and it was with the blessings of the families of both Bobby Simha and Reshmi Menon. Both were fell in love while they were filming for Urumeen and with the support of their friends they had managed to convince their parents and that ended in mutual agreement of both families for the marriage. The marriage ceremony will be in January 2016 but date not yet revealed to the media.

Bobby Simha is a national award winning actor through Tamil film Jigarthanda and he also very popular for his role in Soodhu Kavvum. He had played couple of characters in Malayalam cinema as well and the villain character in Neram made him very popular here as well. Reshmi Menon had acted I films like Inidhu Inidhu, Burma, Theneer Viduthi etc.

This film Urumeen is an action thriller which has Kalaiyarasan, Appu Kutty etc also playing key roles in it.

Today actress Rima Kallingal had posted a photo in her Facebook page which has Dulquer Salmaan standing at her dance school named Mamangam. She said that it was taken Dulquer came to her dance school today. But she did not told that for what purpose he had come there. He wore a blue T-Shirt and Black track Suit and looks like came there to practice dance than came for formal visit. From that moment the rumor is spreading in Facebook that Dulquer Salmaan is playing the role of a dancer in Amal Neerad film which he is doing next and he had come there at Mamangam to study dance from the dancing school.

Earlier there was reports came in that Dulquer may play the character of a dancer in next Amal Neerad film which will be a funny film with lots of entertainment unlike the previous films of Amal Neerad which are thrillers and period films in a sense. We don’t exactly about what character Dulquer is going to play in the Amal Neerad film but reports are doing its round in social medias in such a way that Dulquer is playing a dancer in the film. Now the photo posted by Rima Kallingal had strengthened that reports even though no official word had come from the team behind the film.

Dulquer had acted earlier in Amal Neerad’s film Kullante Bharya which was one of the 5 films of the Anthology film named 5 Sundarikal. Dulquer Salmaan is now doing two films and they are Rajeev Ravi directorial film which had almost completed its shoot and the second one is Sameer Thahir directorial film which has Sai Pallavi in lead role along with Dulquer Salmaan. Both films are not yet titled as well.

There has been reports that Amal Neerad planning a Nivin Pauly film as well. But as of now all of these are just rumors and not confirmed reports.
