If the report which is coming is true, then it is almost fixed who is going to direct the next Ilaya Thalapathy film. There has been a lot of names popped up as the ones who is getting ready to direct an Ilaya Thalapathy. But that was all rumors and reports suggests that it will be director Bharathan who is going to make the 60th film of Vijay next year. Bharathan was the director of Vijay film Azhagiya Tamil Magan which released some years before. But it did not do much well at box office at that time. Now reports saying that the script Bharathan showed Vijay was very much impressive and that is why he had given his permission to start works rejecting other offers from many notable film makers.

Bharathan had written the dialogues for the film named Gilli, which was one of the biggest success in Vijay’s career. It was really a surprise news for the film lovers and specially for the fans of Vijay. They all thought it might be another prominent director who is going to make Vijay 60. But Vijay decided to give a chance to Bharathan as he was really pleased with the screenplay of the film.

This film will be financed by Vijaya productions owned by Nagi reddy who had financed Thala Ajith starrer film named Veeram last year. Bharathan was the one who wrote the dialogues for Veeram as well. Madhi will crank camera for this upcoming Vijay 60 and KL Praveen will be the editor of the film. The music department head is not finalized yet and the discussions were going on about who will compose the music for this film. The Pooja of the film will take place next Sunday as per reports and shoot will start in next year March. The pre-production works will be in full swing from this coming Sunday.

Vijay now doing his 59th film with director Atlee and in this film he is playing a full -fledged police officer character for the first time in his career. It is not yet titled as well.

Meenakshi Anoop alias Anunaya Anoop who is now popular among the Malayali audience as Pathu kutty have a dream to share to all of us. Yes, she wants to act as the heroine of Prithviraj. She said that during a media interview. In Amar Akbar Anthony , Meenakshi had played a key role and the character name was Fathima. Her character was fondly called as Pathu Kutty by the characters played by Prithviraj, Indrajith and Jayasurya in the film. It was her character that makes a turn in the storyline of the film as well.

Her cute performance as Fathima had given a lot of applause for her and the smile of her become viral in social media as well. She is from the place named Paduva, Kotayam district and she got the chance to act in this film as suggested by Vishnu Unnikrishnan who is one of the writers of this film. Vishnu had suggested her name to Nadirsha as he had already worked with her in a film named Aana Mayil Ottakam-an anthology, which is not yet released in theaters.

She says that Prithviraj is her favorite actor and he was a really nice person as well. Jayasurya and Indrajith are too very much caring like Prithviraj. But her dream was to act as the heroine of Prithviraj. She says that after 5 years she will give a serious thought about it as she is a little girl now. She says that at first she did not know that she had such an important character to play in this film. It is only after watching the first show of the film from a theater in Perumbavoor, she understood the power and importance of her character. She is studying in 5th standard now.

She had started her career in the film named One By Two starring Fahad and now recently completed the film named Vettah directed by Rajesh Pillai. She had already completed almost 10 films in her career as a child artist. She is now all set to join a horror film as well and it is expected to start rolling next month.

Mohanlal questions that where all those money has gone which is declared by the government officials and organizations for the development of Tribal people. He says that media is celebrating political corruptions, Election etc. Mohanlal also says that even social media ignored this news and it seems that they too are happy in sharing news which insults and mocks individuals and ideals of others etc.

Ennu Ninte Moideen to enter 50 crore club very soon !

As per the latest collection report of the RS Vimal directorial sensational film named Ennu Ninte Moideen, it is all set to cross the 50 crore mark in its total gross. This Prithviraj starrer had already crossed 45 crores from worldwide and soon to cross 50 crores as well and thereby will become the 3rd film to do so in Mollywood after Mohanlal’s Drishyam and Nivin Paulys Premam.

2 years before a film with 50 crore collection was just a wild dream for Malayalam cinema. The biggest grossed film in Mollywood till 2013 December was the multi-star film named Twenty20 which has Mohanlal, Mamootty, Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, Dileep etc in the key rols and that film was the industry hit of Mollywood with 32 crore gross from all over the world.

But 2013 December witnessed an unbelievable film named Drishyam directed by Jeethu Joseph and starred by the biggest star in Malayalam film industry, Mohanlal had took the box office by a storm. It ended up collecting 66 crore from worldwide and amassed a total revenue of 75 crore rupees. Thus it had become the first Malayalam film to cross the 50 crore mark and made it look possible for Malayalam cinema. The next year itself Anjali Menon directed film Bangalore days earned a gross close to 40 crores and a total revenue just below 50 crores as well.

This year again witnessed such a film and it was Alphonse Puthren directorial film named Premam. It was amassed a total revenue around 60 crores and a gross above 50 crores and become the second biggest success here after Drishyam.

Moideen now has every chance to surpass Premam and become the second biggest box office success of Mollywood behind Drishyam. The collections are dropped for sure and if it can prolong its run a little more, then it can think of the prospect to beat Premam and sit behind Drishyam. Reaching to Drishyam total gross from here seems impossible as Moideen still need almost 20 crores from now to reach there. That seems almost impossible as the film had already crossed 60 days of theater run as well as lost a fair amount of screens due to new releases as well.

Rajamma at Yahoo Review

Rajamma@ Yahoo (Rajamma at Yahoo) is one of the major releases today in Kerala and the film was much anticipated due to two factors. One is ofcourse its unique title and other is the presence of actor pair of Kunchacko Boban and Asif Ali. The trailer of the film had generated positive response all over and also the song video which released two weeks back also attracted the audience. The film has been directed by Reghu Rama Varma. The film has been written by M Sindhuraj who is one of the most popular writers in Mollywood and he is one of the favorite writers of master director Lal Jose as well. So the hope to see a good entertainer is very much there for the audience.

The story of film mainly centered around two brothers named Michel Rajamma who is popularly known as Rajamma and Vishnu Yohannnan who is popularly known as Yahoo. Rajamma’s character is played by Kunchacko Boban and Yahoo’s character is played by Asif Ali. They does not have any particular job and have to say the fact that they are not much interested in doing any job. So they make a living by renting out their house inherited from their parents Yohannan and Rajamma who are no more. They loves to chill out with the inmates of the rented house as well.

Characters played by Anusree, Nikki Galrani, Shajon etc are the ones stays the house for rent. They want to sell their house but it is not possible due to some document problem. Yahoo loves Naziya played by Anusree. Rajamma develops a romantic interest towards Nikki Galrani’s character as well. She comes there in search of her father who cheated her mother. Rajamma and Yahoo involves in that search too. Kunchacko Boban and Asif ali had really rocked as Michel Rajamma and Vishnu Yohannan and they really formed the backbone of the film. Their comic one liners as well as energetic performance gave life to the whole narration.

Anusree and Nikki Galrani who played the female lead of the film had done a decent job as well. Anusree was never a let-down in the energy level when matched to the male duo. But Nikki was a bit low in energy level. Kanaran Harish, Shajon, Kailash, Mamukkoya, Renji Panicker also played their part cleanly. Sindhuraj’ script was a ok and Raghu Rama Varma did a neat job in his debut venture. But the inexperience was visible at many parts. It gives the feel that something somewhere is missing. The story lacks depth and humour part was scattered here and there. It hold only because of the sterling performance of Kanaran Harish with his great comic timing and one liners. There is nothing new in the film which excites us as well.

Bijipal’s music scoring really went well with the mood and atmosphere of the film even though they are not that great. DOP by S Kumar was great and the visuals by him provided good support to the youthful atmosphere of the film. In total Rajamma @ Yahoo is an average entertainer with some fun elements. You can have a one time watchable usual entertainer by watching this one.

Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam Review

The major film released today was Jayasurya starrer flick Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam directed by Ranjith Shankar. The film marked the reunion of Jayasurya-Ranjith Shankar team after the critically and commercially successful film named Punyalan Agarbathees. It was their first production venture too in association under the banner named Dreams N Beyond. This film also coming as their second production venture under the same banner and looking forward to repeat the success story which they had with Punyalan Agarbathees in 2013.

The trailer and songs of the film had already given the hope of a good film to the viewers. The film tells a story inspired from the life of a man named Sudheendran. He is a friend of Director Renjith Shankar and Abhaya Kumar who had co- written the screenplay with Ranjith Shankar. The film starts with Sudhi’s journey to his native place with film star Mukesh and the story unfold in a flash back as he narrates his life story to Mukesh. Sudhi who has a speech disability of stuttering had a lot of trouble in his life and the film shows his efforts to overcome it.

We have to say one thing that Jayasurya had really made this day of his own with a sterling performance as Sudhi who stutters. He was just perfect as that character and at some point the naturality in his acting will make us stood wonderstruck. This year along with Reghuram in Lukka Chuppi, Alby in Kumbasaram, Akbar in Amar Akbar Anthony, Jayasurya had given us another one in the name of Sudhi and once again showed as that he is probably the best actor in the younger generation of Malayalam cinema. Each and every movements and expressions of him bring the subtle conflicts of the character and his dialogue delivery and voice modulations were just fabulous as well.

Ranjith Shankar once again proved that he is a master in narrating story with emotional content in it and the natural humor flavor he can bring in the narration of a story is great as well. May be we can say that this film will be counted among one of his best till now. Bijipal’s music was soothing and apt for the film along with the frames set by cinematographer Vinod Elampilly. Sajan had done a great job with his cuts as it had given the pace which was essential for the film.

In Performance side no one was disappointed. Aju Varghese once again showed his stability as an actor and Mukesh was superb too. Female lead Shivada had done a neat job and artists like TG Ravi, Sunil Sugada, K P SC Lalitha, Irshad etc done their part well as usual. Jayasurya’s son Adwaith and Ranjith Shankar’s daughter Thara had done their part with satisfaction as well. Sudhi Vathmeekam is a wonderful life story. Only a few films makes you feel that you are a part of that world too and this film had done it. Don’t miss this one because its life.

Master director IV Sasi joins Sohan Roy to direct a 75 crore Project !

All Lights India International Film Festival now happening at Kochi and associated with it the Indywood Film Market also launched in the esteemed presence of film maker Shyam Benegal and Padmasree Mohanlal and a lot of other great film personalities as well. And on the opening day of the Indywood film market itself a great news has been announced as the master director of Mollywood IV Sasi is joining hands with another master technician Sohan Roy for a project worth 75 crore rupees and the project was titled as Burning Wells.

When a film comes from I V Sasi it’s a great news for Malayalees as he is one of the most prolific Film makers in India and among a very few directors who had made 100+ films in their career. Sohan Roy is the one who directed the film Dam 999 which has got great appreciation even from Hollywood as well.

So, when these two master technicians joins together for a film and that too of this big canvas then it must be something terrific is going to happen here. The announcement of this project was made in the inaugural function of the project Indywood on its opening day at Kochi. As per the reports the story of the film is based on the life of a man who gets uprooted by the worst consequences of the infamous Kuwait war. The film deals with the Kuwait war as well as the life of the protagonist which was affected by the war. The title itself gives us the intensity of the story.

The cast and crew of the film is not revealed but everyone hopes that it will have some great actors in it with some great technicians as well behind the camera. IV Sasi was all set to return with a Mohanlal starrer next year and he said that he wants to come up with a film which will go above Devasuram which is his classic film with Mohanlal. We don’t know whether he is planning to cast Mohanlal in this ambitious project of his as male lead. Sohan Roy also a great friend of Mohanlal can fancy the chance of getting him as the male lead. If that happens then it will be something amazing to wait for .

The main culprits in the online women trade case Reshmi Nair and Rahul Pasupalan during the police interrogation said that they went into such a situation due to the financial debt in which they fell after their decision to do a film named Pling. It was a film that started rolling directed by Rahul Shishupalan and scripted by Reshmi. But the financer of the film had come out against the couple saying that all their claims were fake. Because he had given enough money for them to shoot the film and if there is any financial problem that comes associated with film, it has to be for him and not for them. The name of the financer is Manoj K Sreedhar and he is a notable businessman in Kochi.

Manoj says that he and his wife met Rahul Pasupalan and Reshmi Nair during the campaign of kiss of love. At first they thought that all of them having the same viewpoints about all the issues that lead to the kiss of love campaign. Later they thought about making a film on the basis of this thought and then Rahul Pasupalan said that he will direct the film as he had worked as an assistant director in 4 Malayalam films. But that was a fake claim and they later understood after beginning the shoot of the film that Rahul Pasupalan did not even know how to hold a light in a film set.

Reshmi Nair was said to be writing the scrip of the film. But she was too ignorant about it and Rahul Paspalan was writing the script in her name. At first they said the film will complete in 80 lakh rupees. Later it went higher and reached 1.5 cr rupees. But that was an amount far higher than what Manoj have in his hand. At that time Reshmi Nair said that they can make money by blackmailing big shots in the name of woman trade. At first they thought it was joke by her but later it become serious. Manoj says that both Rahul Pasupalan and Reshmi Nair had received money from for many things and they even asked money from him to buy a car.

Manoj says that they were doing cheating in social medias too with fake profile in the names of popular political leaders as well. They had kept vulgar photos of college girls and video clips of popular people to blackmail them as well. Later the film had dropped because Manoj found out that both Rahul Pasupalan and Reshmi Nair were not going properly and now they are saying that the film had made them fall in debt. Manoj asks how a dropped project made them fall in a financial debt, when they are not he financers of that project.
