Famous director and cinematographer Shaji N Karun is still in awe about the fabulous acting skills of Mohanlal. It was Shaji N Karun who had directed the film Vanaprastham for which Mohanlal had won the 3rd national award of his career. Shaji N Karun says that Mohanlal’s acting is par excellence and no one in India or may in this whole world can perform like or act like Mohanlal. Specially the performance he had given as Kunju Kuttan, the Kadhakali artist in Vanaprastham was just like a heavenly one.

Shaji N Karun says that the film had showed in the official section of Cann film festival and they had a doubt that with Mohanlal’s big size how can he do justice to the role of a Kadhakali artist..? But Shaji N Karun said that with that physique he had made it look the perfect and no one can better it any more. But after the completion of the show of the film everybody including great film makers, technicians and viewers from all around the world stood up from their seats and applauded that majestic performance of him. Shaji Said that it was the first time in history that a Mollywood actor had got Red Carpet welcome in Cann Film festival and Mohanlal had earned it with his fantabulous performance.

Shaji says that when he was acting in Vanaparastham his commitment was astonishing and at the same time he had a fear in his mind to act Kadhakali in front of great Kadhakali masters like Kalamandalam Gopi, Kalamandalam Keshavan, Kalamandalam Appu Kutti Pothuval etc. But the fact is that they had the same fear that how could they act in front of such a great actor like Mohanlal.

Shaji was 100% confident that Mohanlal can do justice to that role and he believed only Mohanlal can. Because he saw this man’s beyond the world talent while he was cranking the camera for Hariharan’s film Panchagni which had Mohanlal in the lead. Shaji said that Mohanlal’s timing was super when he done that Kadhakali performance in the film and his talent was God given as he had mastered the art of Kadhakali for that film in just 6 months of time which usually take years for a Kadhakali artist.

Universal Kamal Haasan was recently in the news for some of his upcoming films and also due to some bad happenings in the name of his. First we heard that Kamal Haasan fans had attacked young actor Siva Karthikeyan who mocked Kamal through one of his movies. But now another news is coming out that actor Sarath Kumar had insulted Kamal Haasan in a press conference regarding the election in South Indian Film Artists Association.

Sarath Kumar had accused that Kamala hasan had insulted his state tamil nadu in the time of the release of his film Vishwaroopam when he said that he will leave this state and then the Chief minister of the state had to go to him in United States of America to bring him back to the state. Kamal Haasan did that when a controversy halted the release of his film Vishwaroopam.

Sarath Kumar’s recent insulting of Kamal Haasan is due to some other matters. It is because Kamal Haasan had lend his support to the Pandavar Ani team who standing against the team led by Sarath Kumar. That had really provoked Sarath Kumar and then he accused him. Sarath Kumar leading the team named Nadigar Sangham. The Pandavar Ani team has Vishal, Karthi etc in it. It was a news when Vishal and Sarath Kumar had a spat some time before based on the same issue of the elections. Sarath Kumar said about Kamal Haasan mocking him by imitating his talking style.

He even said that Kamala hasan is not a great actor as other actors in Tamilnadu had given much better performance than Kamal Haasan when they got the chance to work with directors who directed Kamal Haasan. Sarath Kumar said that Kamal Haasan is a coward and runs away from the state whenever there is a controversy and he did not even stand up to the difficulties and challenges. Sarath Kumar also mocked Kamal Haasan’s English accent as well during that speech in which he insulted the legend. The elections in SIAA is now heating up with this incident.

Prithviraj ruling Kerala box office for last 30 days

Now it seems that Mollywood box office is under a spell created by young Super star Prithviraj and we have to say that in last 30 days in Kerala Box office, only Prithviraj film made huge money while other films even after getting good opinion , not able to convert it into box office collections. On September 19, RS vimal directorial film Ennu Ninte Moideen had came which had Prithviraj in the lead and the film had literally took Mollywood box office to go to a new level and it set the box office on fire with amazing gross collection. As of now the film had earned more than 25 crore rupees from theaters of Kerala and still the rush is there at the theater. It is RS Vimal’s maiden venture as a director as well. Many films came after it failed to ring the money bells at box office even after getting positive reviews.

On October 16th there came the film named Amar Akbar Antony directed by Nadirsha which was his debut film as a director. The flick is a complete entertainer starring Prithviraj, Jayasurya and Indrajith and opened to a highly positive note from the public. As of now the flick had receiving great box office collection and crow flowing in to theaters to watch it.

It is a very rare sight that two films of one actor releases in the gap of 30 days and both are going great side by side. In 1989 same thing happened if you all remember. It was a Mohanlal show that time. In 1989 Two Mohanlal films released in the gap of 25 days and both become super successes at box office. One is a classical hit and another was a mass hit just like Ennu Ninte Moideen and Amar Akabr Anthony. Those films of Mohanlal was Kireedom and Naduvazhikal directed by Sibi Malayail and Joshiey respectively.

There is another interesting thing as well. Both successfully going films of Prithviraj is directed by debutant directors as well. Anyway Prithviraj is ruling the Kerala Box office at least for last 30 days and he looks to continue it as well.

Mammootty will play brother to Maqbool Salmaan in Nithin Renji Panicker film

There is a big news doing its round in Mollywwod about the joining together of Dulquar Salmaan and Mammootty for the first time through a Ranjith Film. Everybody is behind that news whether it is real or not as the anticipation level was too high. But at the same time there is almost a confirmed news is coming that Maqbool Salmaan who is the son of Mammootty’s brother Ibrahim Kutty will play a key role in one of the upcoming Mammootty film. As per reports Maqbool Salmaan will play the younger brother character of Mammootty in the upcoming film directed by the debutant film maker Nithin Renji Panicker who is the son of famous writer/director and actor Renji Panicker who had directed and written for Mammootty in the past.

Maqbool Salman’s father Ibrahim Kutty is a famous actor in Mini Screen and he had acted in lot of mainstream Malayalam films as well. Maqbool Salmaan had made his Mollywood debut with the film named Matinee directed by Aneesh Upasana. But even before that he had made a small appearance in A K Sajan directorial film Asuravith starred by Asif ali as well. Later he had acted in 4-5 Malayalam films but any of them not made much impact at box office even though he become noticed due to his acting skills which looked really a matured one.

It is the first time that Maqbool Salmaan is acting along with his father like figure Mammootty and it will be very interesting see he is playing younger brother to Mammootty who is actually the elder brother of his father. The film in which they are coming together is a cop story and will be made by Nithin Renji panicker as we said above. Reports came earlier that Mammootty will play a cop with some eccentric mannerisms in this flick and it will be written by the director Nithin itself.

The team behind the film is planning to start the film early next year and they are now finalizing the other cast and crew of the film. Nithin’s father Reni Panicker may also play a key role in this film.

Jofin James, the director of Navabharath IAS academy, Kannur had posted a status on his Facebook page about an incident which sheds light to a kind of day robbery that is happening in our multiplexes now a days. He says that he and his friend Ajmal went to see the film named Ennu Ninte Moideen in PVR multiplex in Lulu Mall Ernakulam. The ticket charge was 140 rupees per person and when they try to enter the cinema hall, the security there started checking in a way that it questions the individuality of the person being checked. While checking he found a bottle of mineral water bottle of 1 liter and he said they did not allow them to take that bottle inside. They said that its only pure water and for drinking purpose but he not allowed it at all.

They thought that it will be a waste of time to argue with him and thought that they can buy one bottle for 20 odd rupees at the interval time. And in the time of interval when they went buy a bottle of water from the shop there they said that it will cost 40 rupees per half liter. They are selling the water made by the company TATA. The 1 liter bottle as per the charge will cost 80 rupees per bottle. It was startling that 1 liter of water costs more than 1 liter of petrol and it was really an example of day robbery from public. The ticket cost 280 rupees and if a person want to some water that will also cost him 80 rupees.

According to the verdict of our honorable supreme court in 2015 September the Drinking water must available for the movie goers if they don’t allow to carry water with them of their own in multiplexes or cinema halls. The court verdict also made it compulsory that every cinema halls will provide pure water free of cost to the people comes there as water is the basic human need for his life.

But our multiplexes and cinema halls not seems to be in a mood to obey the law of our nation and they are plundering us in open. This has to get changed and the responsible authorities have to intervene in this matter as well.

Ennu Ninte Moideen Collection Report – 25 crore gross in 27 days

Ennu Ninte Moideen is breaking records day by day and on the way to break several ones as well. After becoming Prithviraj Sumaran’s first solo blockbuster and his first solo film to cross 20 crore mark it had broked the collection of his biggest multi star hit named Classmates (2006 movie) which had got a total revenue around 23 crore that time.

As per the latest estimates this flick Ennu Ninte Moidden had earned a gross around 25.5 crore from 27 days and that is awesome to say the least. The flick had already surpassed Mammootty starrer Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja (2009 movie)  in total revenue from overall collection.

The flick is not at all affected by the latest releases and still it is the best in box office from the day of its release. Prithviraj Sumaran starrer Amar Akbar Antony which also has Jayasurya and Indrajith Sumaran had got great reviews and making waves at box office. Now it may can become a block before Ennu Ninte Moideen from going towards the top of the list of top grossers of Mollywood.

Next week release of Mohanlal’s Kanal also can be a big barrier if that film gets good report from the audience. Anyway as of now Ennu Ninte Moideen in not at all in a mood to stop and its running as fast as it can.
