Baahubali 100 days run completing today

Today is the day on which the biggest film ever made in Indian completing its 100 days of successful run. Baahubali which released in July this year completed 100 glorious days in box office and now its is the third biggest hit ever happened in India right behind Aamir Khan’s PK and Salman Khan’s Bhajrangi Bhaijan. But when it comes to South Indian cinema Baahubali is the best and reached far away from the second best film Enthiran in box office collection.

As per reports Baahubali had grossed over 600 crores from worldwide and the production cost of the film is 250 crores. It also had a very big release over 2000 screens all over the world and it has tamil ,telugu versions as well as dubbed versions of Malayalam, kannada and hindi. Every version did great business and it had got the biggest collection from a single theater complex from Trivandrum and it is around 2 crore from that theater alone. It is the ariesplex theaters in Trivandrum.

The second part of the film titled as Baahubali – The Conclusion will come in next year October or November and the shooting of the remaining portion already begun. The question remains in the mind of the audience that why Kattappa killed Bahubali.?.. The question that the makers aimed at the mind of the readers was really pin pointed and now everybody want to know the answer of the question. The answer will be in the second part of the film.

SS Rajamouli, the director of the film said that the second part will be bigger than the first part of the film. Baahubali had used the visual effects to great perfection that never seen before in Indian films and with this film SS Rajamouli had toppled Shankar from the position of India’s showman and become the most sought after director of India. Prabhas who was the hero of this film also got great appreciation for his work and reportedly he had increased his weight to 100 kilos to act in the second part of the film. Now everybody is eagerly waiting for the second part of the cinematic wonder named Baahubali.

Now it is a trend in our Indian film industry that even days before the release of a film, the main story of the film leaks out in the media. Sometimes it is the result of a fan war between the hardcore fans of super stars and sometimes it used as a promotion trick as well to make the audience in a specific way and then provide a surprise to them.

Anyway story leak incident is not new to South Indian cinema and the latest on the list of films of which the story is leaked is upcoming film of Ajith, named Vedalam. It is a tamil film directed by Shiva. This is shiva’s association with Ajith after the successful Veeram which came last year beginning. As per reports the story of the film and the suspense is leaked out in some social Media pages and groups and it is said to be a part of the fan war between the fans of different Tamil fans group of actors.

As per the rumor the story of the film Vedalam revolves around the character played by Ajith named Ganesh and the character played by Lakshmi Menon named Tamizh. She is Ganesh’s sister and ganesh is a car driver in Chennai. Tamizh loves painting a lot and to make her study in a college which gives importance to painting, ganesh decides to get her an admission in a college at Kolkatha. When he reaches there he had to enter in a situation where he had to reveal his true identity. Ganesh is an underworld don in Chennai known as Vedalam.

Appu Kutty comes as the friend of Ganesh and Thambi Ramayya comes as his father in this film. The story deals with the revenge story of ganesh with his old enemies. Sruthi Hasan is coming as Ajith Heroine and the film has Santhanam as well. MM Ratnam and S Aishwarya financing this film under sree Sai ram creations and Anirudh Ravichander is the music director of the film. The flick will arrive at theaters all around in this upcoming deewali season and the teaser and song teasers are already viral in social media.

Sabumon again with controversial statement in Mohanlal issue

It was an eventful last 30 days for Sabumon Abdu Samad, the popular Mini screen anchor and cine artist. All that had begun with his alleged insulting of Mohanlal and his Late Father through a Facebook comment. That had really landed him into trouble and the online attack by Mohanlal fans and film lovers at first made him to deactivate his facebook account and hide from the attack.

Later the director who was getting ready to make a film for his production house had pulled out from the project saying that he was not at all interested to make his film for such person who had insulted the Great Mohanlal. It was a film announced with Asif Ali and Sunny Wayne in the lead named St. Peter’s Day. After that Sabumon came out with an apology to Mohanlal for unknowingly insulting him and his father out of anger. But that was not at all accepted by the film lovers and Mohanlal fans.

Then days before Sabumon told to the world with a status on his reactivated Facebook page that he has left the popular television program named Take it easy which he was doing in Mazhavil Manorama Channel. The news came after that Manorama had stopped showing that program and rule him out of the program due to his negative publicity he obtained in the insulting of Mohanlal issue and also due to the mass protest of the fans of Mohanlal, the mightiest people force or fans force in Mollywood.

But Now Sabumon’s comment on that status claiming that he had not left that program fearing Mohanlal or Mohanlal fans. But he said that he himself opted his exit from that program as he believes that this is the right time to do it. He said it in a reply to one of his followers who asked whether his decision to quit the program is based on the issues and online attacks that happened in social media against him recently regarding the so called insulting of the legendary actor Mohanlal. Anyway this denial of Sabumon now seems will bring more trouble to him as it is like a challenge to already angry fans of Mohanlal and film lovers.

Amar Akbar Anthony, the much awaited Mollywood film had released all over today in Kerala. The title is familier to all as with the same title a Bollywood film had come with Amitab Bachchan leading the star cast and it was a trend setting super success then. That film told the story of 3 brothers who separated from each other in the childhood itself and grows in different households following different religions. Later they meet when they were youngsters and from there the story kicks off. But the Malayalam film does not have any connection at all to the hindi film and it is only the title bears the resemblance.

The flick is the directorial debut of Nadirsha who is very popular among the film lovers as well as mini screen audience. He is famous as anchor, actor, stage artist, singer and in fact a multi-talented popular figure in Kerala. So when he makes his directorial debut with a an entertainer and that too with the star cast of Prithviraj, Indrajith and Jayasurya, three most followed young actors of Mollywood, expectation levels are bound to rise to a great level. The film starts with the introduction of the character played by Asif Ali and he narrates the story of the 3 friends Amar (Prithviraj), Akbar (Jayasurya), and Anthony (Indrajith). The friends really care about a little girl named Pathu and an incident related with her forms the central part of the plot.

As an entertainer Director Nadirsha had succeeded in weaving all delightful elements in a perfect mix to make it a wholesome entertainer. His experience in the film field is evident even though he is making his debut. Have to give credits to the writers as well. Bibin George and Vishnu Unnikrishnan with their debut venture had given a great platform with their script to Nadirsha to create a thrilling and funny entertainer which can be enjoyed by everyone. The songs also composed by Nadirsha goes along with the line entertainment. Backgrund scoring by Bijipal is also very well done by him. Sujith Vasudev’s Cinematography was also really cool to the eyes and he set the perfect frame for this colourful entertainer. John Kutty’s cuts was also precise.

When it comes to performance All the three stars stood head to head and Namitha Pramod also done a decent job as heroine. Ramesh Pisharody, Sree Raman, Abu Salim, Dharmajan, Shajon, Srinda, Saju, Bindu Panicker, KPAC Lalitha etc have done their part with cool heads as well. The film produced by United Global media in association with Ananya films really has all elements to make you get entertained and they seems to have given all support to make it an out and out entertainer. Amar, Akbar and Anthony will make you entertained together this season and you are going to love it.

Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi, a title itself which gave you all the curiosity to know what is it and if it’s the title of a film then the curiosity will be over only after watching the film. Yes, it’s the title of a film indeed and that too of a Malayalam film. Now the curiosity raises and from today the curiosity can be ended as today the flick has been released all over. It is the third directorial venture of critically acclaimed, national award winning director Anil Radhakrishna Menon who also made all his films a success in Box office as well. We think you all remember about 24 North Katham starring Fahad Fazil and Sapthamasree Thaskaraha starring Prithviraj, Asif Ali, Neeraj Madhav, Nedumudi Venu, Chemban Vinod etc.

Lord Livingstone 7000 kandi is the first ever production venture Global United Media who was instrumental in the big release of gigantic films like Shankar’s ‘Ai’ and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali here in Kerala. Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi is an entertainer as well as a film which gives you a serious thought. If we have to say about the story then we have to say that it does not focused on a single hero but on 7-8 different characters who all has their own space and importance in the story line. The film is dealing with a fantasy subject but at the same time has all the chance of happening at any time in our current situation. Kunchacko Boban, Bharath, Nedumudi Venu, Sudheer Karamana, Chemaban Vinod, Sunny Wayne, Jacob Gregory, Reenu Mathews etc are the main characters and above all a forest that plays the central part of the story.

The story kicks start when Philipose , the character played by Kunchacko Boban invites some others to Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi to fight for it. Anil Radhakrishna Menon had once again proved why he is been now considered as one of the best film makers in our current times. He once again sizzled with a great thought provoking as well as entertaining screenplay and the direction part was brilliant as well. The mark of a great director can be seen in every frame of the film and in the perfect mixture of fantasy element with the realistic approach to the theme in the depth of the story. Jayesh Nair’s DOP was astonishingly beautiful and this man is bound to miles and mark our words for that.

Rex Vijayan had composed the music and he deserves applause for creating the perfect rhythm for this film considering the story and moving forward of the film in its unique way. Manoj Kannoth’s editing was also superb and we have to say that he had blended the visual very well. The VFX part used in the film is one of its highlight as it had done neatly and at places done amazingly well giving a classic fantasy film touch to the film. Another highlight was the art direction and the sets made and it was fantastic to say the least. When it comes to performance no body let us down as everyone just made their part look really convincing and the ones who come at the top is Nedumudi Venu and Sudheer Karamana.

Lord Livingstone is reminder really for all of us that it’s the time to protect the nature and the treasure it has. This one is a well crafted film which will be a very different experience for you which you never got to see in a Malayalam film till now. Don’t miss it because the success of this film can bring a great change in our industry’s thoughts and deeds.

Mammootty-Dulquer Salmaan will join for a Ranjith film ?

Mega star Mammootty and his son Dulquer Salmaan, when the former is one among the super stars who rules Mollywood for almost 30 years the later had already created his own space in the Malayalam film industry or may be in a wider sense he creating his own space in south Indian film industry.

But from the time Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan made his entry to Mollywood through the film Second Show, everyone has only one question in mind to ask him. That is when he will do a film along with his father Mammootty..? or When they will get the chance to see them both sharing the silver screen..? But both of them keep their silence about it and Dulquer even said that it is not yet came the time to work with his dad. So the anticipation was there in the air for a long time. Now an unofficial report coming that it may happen in the near future through a film which will be directed by master director Ranjith.

As per reports coming Ranjith is planning a film with both Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan playing the lead roles. As per reports Dulquer Salmaan had indicated about this upcoming film in an interview to some media. There was even reports that it will be a film which will be set against a political background as well. Anyway no details about the film is come out yet and no official confirmation as well. Even if it happens it will happen only in next year middle part as both Mammootty and Dulquer had committed to other projects till the middle part of next year.

There has been reports earlier that both Mammootty and Dulquer may share screen for a Tamil film. But that ended up as a rumor. There was also news came once that Dulquer Salman is going to share screen space with Mohanlal in a film. But it was also came out of blues and went it like that way as well. The expectation is in the air and hopes are now rising. We have to wait until either Ranjith or Mammootty-Dulquer team announces anything officially.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay ‘s most anticipated project cum upcoming flick Vijay 59 rumoured to be titled as Kaakki. Vijay playing a cop role in this Raja Rani fame Director Atlee’s second directorial venture. After getting some negative reviews for Vijay’s recent flick Puli, The fans are eagerly waiting for a perfect one from their favourite star to celebrate.

Already the director Atlee himself revealed that, the film will be equal to ten Thuppakki (movie). So the expectations towards the movie is at its level best. Now the special news came out for fans; As per the reports, The film title is expected as Kaakki, while the official confirmation about the title is yet to come from the officials. Earlier news regarding the title saying that, Mr. S. Thanu will be announcing the title of Vijay 59 on Diwali along with the first look poster.

Young sensation GV Prakash scoring the music for this film. He teaming up for the second time with actor Vijay (after Thalaiva) and director Atlee (after Raja Rani) too. The film also features sizzling Amy Jackson and charming Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead heroine roles. The 70 percent shooting of the movie is completed and the movie is all set to hit in theatres very soon as possible.
