Veteran director IV Sasi two days ago got the one of the most prestigious film based award in Kerala. Yes, he has been chosen as the winner of the precious JC Daniel Memorial award for his great contribution to Malayalam cinema and IV Sasi is very happy at this moment. Along with this happiness he had announced another big news as well for the film lovers of Kerala and it is about the return of him to the film industry after the gap of 5-6 years. IV Sasi announced that he will come back soon with a film starring none other than Mohanlal and IV Sasi said that it will be as good and as memorable as Devasuram, which is one of the biggest classics ever made in Mollywood directed by I V Sasi and Starred by Mohanlal.

IV sasi said that the upcoming film will not be telling any political subject but will be a socially relevant subject which will have equal importance to the male and female lead. He says that he will not a film for the sake of just doing a film and it will be something very special. IV Sasi recently to a media said that Mohanlal is probably the best actor he had directed so far and only Mohanlal can give a 100% convincing appeal to a character even with the blink of an eye of him. IV Sasi said that other artists in the upcoming film of him not yet decided other than the hero role playing by Mohanlal.

IV sasi said that he had plans to do film with Mammootty as well but now he only thinking about the Mohanlal film of which the paper work is going on. IV Sasi said that recently he loved Ennu Ninte Moideen and it was such a nice film. He also said that he liked Premam as well and don’t think that Premam has mislead youngsters or something like that.

IV Sasi also said young generation must not take too much pride on the success they are getting and he felt so recently after meeting some young actors in Mollywood.

October 16, tomorrow one film releases here in Mollywood named Amar Akbar Anthony directed by Nadirsha with a multi star cast of Prithviraj, Indrajith and Jayasurya in the lead. One among these has more to remember about this day. Yes, it is the birthday of the young super star of Mollywood, Prithviraj Sukumaran. It is great to have a release on your birthday if you are a film actor and it is more fabulous if one of your film is running by breaking collection records while you celebrates your birthday that year.

In present situation both the above mentioned situation is apt for Prithviraj as he had a film releasing tomorrow as we said above named Amar Akbar Anthony in which he plays Amar and his Ennu Ninte Moideen is still going great at box office by collecting close to 25 crores as per latest report from trade guides. Tomorrow two Malayalam film is releasing named Amar Akbar Anthony and Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi. Those are much anticipated films as well. But the fear of Malayali audience is that will it take away the screens from Mammootty’s Pathemari and will those films become a block before the success Pathemari deserves..? But as per reports there is not much to worry in that aspect as Pathemari will me getting some more screens from tomorrow and it will not lose much as expected. Pathemari is a kind of film which will do great at box office in a medium pace rather than getting some quick money. So it needs some time to get there and pick up the pace.

The film directed by Salim Ahammad had got very good opinion all around and already got a very good beginning at box office. As per report the 8 crore budget film touch the 5 crore total gross soon from box office and with the great opinion it has been receiving hopes are high that it will find its place in the successful film list of this year. The success is must for films like Pathemari as only the success will inspire the filmmakers to create films like Pathemari which exploits talents of actors like Mammootty or Mohanlal and also tells about the problems facing by people in the society.

Only those kind of films can bring back the glory of Malayalam cinema which had lost in recent years by making some utter craps. Two days back the breaking news came to Fahad Fazil fans is that Master director of South India, Gautham Vasudev Menon will do a film with him and it will be a multi star film having Simbu, Allu Arjun and Puneet Raj Kumar as well. The report also said that the story of the film is based on the friendship and a journey of four friends who meets after long years of separation from each other.

The news said that it will be made in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada language and Gautham Menon will finance the Tamil and Telugu version as well. But Gautham Menon said that there are some corrections in the news which is spreading now. He said that he is planning two films. One is with Nivin Pauly in Malayalam and one with Fahad in Tamil. But both films will not be a multi-starrer and it will be a single hero subject. He also said that he also has plans to make a film with Mohanlal in the lead but it will not be in the near future as he and Mohanlal is busy with other projects of theirs.

Gautham Menon said that he is now in discussion with both Nivin Pauly and Fahad Fazil and hope that an official declaration about the project will come soon. Fahad is recently in the news because of a dropped project of him which is all set to go on floors by this December directed by Siddique. The reason for shelving that project is still unknown and there is also news that Siddique had plans to make it with another young star as well. Nivin Pauly is now going through a busy schedule and the Gautham Menon film will not happen at least in the near future for sure as per reports.

Gautham Menon also working for his Tamil film starring Simbu in the lead which is another Romantic story from this team after the highly appreciated Vinnaithandi Varuvaya which had Trisha in the lead role. There are reports that Gautham Menon had plans for Vikram and Ajith as well.

Mammootty starrer flick named Pathemari had generated awesome reviews all around Kerala with critics and audience alike giving thumbs up for the film. The flick has been receiving great appreciation from the common people and Mammootty’s great performance as the lead character Pallikkal Narayanan is the highlight of the film along with the awesome screenplay and direction of national award winning director Salim Ahammad.

The flick which is distributed by Eros international all over is also getting decent collection from theaters as well. The good gross the film is receiving from screens all across kerala is a heartening signs for Malayalam cinema industry as good films getting mass support from film lovers. As per reports the film had collected rupees 4.5 cr+ from the first six days with an average of around 70 lakhs per day.

Even though the film only got around 40 lakhs on day one as people believed that it is an offbeat film. But the good mouth publicity and the report that it is not an offbeat film made the collection status raise and from the next day there is an increase in the collection even though it not as big as the mouth publicity. When it compared it Ennu Ninte Moideen still Moideen is ruling the box office with top gross from each day which already crossed 22 crores collection and on the way to the highest collected movie starring Prithviraj.

Pathemari which reportedly has a budget around 8 crore rupees have to maintain this steady collection for at least 3-4 weeks to get a profit from the theater run as per stats and the healthy mouth publicity is a hope to get there for the film. The main barrier before the film is the continuous releases coming from 16th of October like Amar Akbar Antony, Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi, Rani Padmini, Kanal, 10 enradhukulla etc.  Availability of theaters is a problem and also if an entertainer receives good mouth publicity then people have a tendency to choose that film to watch with family than a class film.

Let’s hope that Pathemari will overcome all these to become a box office success as well.

Prithviraj- Anoop Menon starrer flick Pavada is completing its shoot and as per reports it may be the Christmas release of Prithviraj. There is a chance that it may come a little earlier to the screens as well. The flick is now shooting at locations in and around Trivandrum. Now an interesting news is coming about the character plays by Prithviraj in this film.

As per reports Prithviraj is coming as the hardcore fan of Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay in this flick. There are some scenes in this film in which Prithviraj making fan celebrations on the day of Vijay’s Thuppakki film’s release and putting flower garland on Vijay’s cut out. After that there is scenes such as Prithvi buying ticket fighting with a large crowd on the first day of the release of the film as well.

It is not the first time that Prithviraj is playing a character who is a fan of a super star. Years back in a film named One Way Ticket, Prithviraj had come as the member of Mammootty fans association. In that film Mammootty played a guest role as well as the star meets his fan kind of a scene. The trailer of his upcoming film Amar Akbar Antony shows that he is imitating Mohanlal in it. It seems he is fan of Mohanlal in that film. In real life Prithviraj is a great admirer of Mohanlal and once in an interview to a popular Tamil channel he said that if he directs a film his dream cast will be Mohanlal and Manju Warrier. Even before that he told that he prefers Mohanlal when it comes to acting as well

This film Pavada is financed by Maniyan Pillai Raju and it has Biju Menon, Anoop Menon and Shobhana as well in key roles. There was a news before the shoot of the film that Mohanlal may play an extended cameo role in this film but later that plan was dropped. Marthandan is coming back after a failure at box office named Acha Din with Mammootty and he is now all set to strike back with Pavada.
