Archana Kavi to get married soon

Famous Mollywood actress Archana Kavi is going to be married very soon and the one she is marrying is also a popular figure as well. His name is Abish Mathew who is popular among the followers of Stand up solo comedy shows. Like Archana Kavi, Abish Mathew is also born and brought up in Delhi. His parents are from Kerala and from Kottayam district of the state. He had begun his career as a Radio Jockey and later became very popular through various standup comedy shows. He is popular as a singer and an actor worked in some Bollywood films as well. Abish is now living in Mumbai as his professional commitments made him settle there.

Archana Kavi and Abish Mathew are friends for a long time and that, later grown up and now reach up to the level of a marriage between the two. Both the families have agreed on this and as per reports their engagement will be conducted on December this year and they had plans to get married in the next month or 2016 January to be precise. The dates and other details about the wedding is not yet officially confirmed by the families of both the bride and groom as they want to keep it as a secret till the right time to announce it to the public through media.

Archana Kavi is also from Kottayam district of Kerala and she is the daughter of senior Journalist Jose Kaviyil and Rosamma. Jose Kaviyil is from Ramapuram of Kottayam District. Even though she was born in Kerala she studied in Delhi. Later she began to work as a Television Anchor and that time the opportunity came at her door to play the lead in the film named Neelathamara scripted by M T Vasudevan Nair and helmed by Lal Jose. The character named Kunjimalu in the film had won her lots of appreciation and popularity among Malayali audience.

Later she acted in about 14 Mollywood films and also acted in some Tamil and Telugu films as well. But still her best remains to be Kunjimalu from Neelathamara(2009).

As per the latest news from the Malayalam film industry there is a fantastic news for the film lovers of Kerala. That is the South Indian actress Trisha is making her debut in Mollywood and that too with a film in which Megastar Mammootty plays the male lead. Trisha is one of the top actress in Tamil and also in other South Indian languages like Kannada and Telugu. She had acted in Bollywood films as well and her Bollywood debut was with actor Akshay Kumar in the film named Khatta Meetta conceived by Priyadarshan which was actually the remake of an evergreen Malayalam super hit movie named Vellanakalude Naadu starred by Mohanlal and Shobhana.

The film in which Trisha is making her Malayalam debut is titled as White which will be directed by Uday Ananthan who had earlier done films like Pranayakalam starred Ajmal ameer and Vimala Raman in the lead. He has also done a film named Mrityunjayam which is a segment of the anthology film named Kerala Cafe.

As per sources it has been known that Mammootty is looking for a change from action as well as some feel good family films. He thinks this is the right time and he had opted such films recently like Utopiayile Rajavu and an AK Sajan film which will be a thriller. After AK Sajan film he will start the film White in which he is playing a romantic character. As per sources in this film Mammootty will essay the character of a man in his middle ages and he fall in love with a very young lady. That character will be played by Trisha as per the news.

Our Mega star is not so popular for doing romantic kind of characters. Apart from that, the people have a belief that Mammootty can’t have the skill to do a romantic character as he had not done one which remains in our heart in his whole career till now. That belief from people may have come because of his earlier films in which he tried romance and not done well at box office. And presently by taking this risk he is trying to cover his talent in the romantic terrain challenging that belief and come out with flying colours as well.

So it is confirmed. Mollywood actress Muktha is about get married. The actress herself has declared this through her Facebook account. The groom will be the brother of singer Rimi Tomy, Mr Rinku Tomy. Rumors has been following Muktha for a while about this. But it was never official declare till this. After a long season of love both of the couples are ready to tie knot with the blessings from both families.

Muktha, at present is having a low run at Mollywood as an actress, Still she was flying high in personal life as we see it. Rimy Tomy,as a singer, anchor and recently as an actress (Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare) is a well known person for Malayalee audiences.Since its her brother whos marrying Muktha the news value increases. Muktha through her social media page declared her upcoming life event and asked all of the mobs blessings for this.

The status of Muktha as an actress after the marriage has not got any credible confirmation on whether she will be continuing her profession as an actress or not. Muktha began his career in Lal Jose directed Saleem Kumar starrer Achan Urangatha Veedu. Muktha has started her career as an actress at the smaller age and shocked the audiences with her item number with Vishal in a Tamil movie at the blooming stage. Even though she failed to cop up with the big league she had shared screen with almost all big shots. Muktha’s pair with Suresh Gopi in Thahas Hailasa also couldn’t ring a bell in the box-office. As it is presented the engagement of the pair will be on 23rd August and the Marriage will be held on 30th of this month itself. Thus Muktha will be the latest on the list of’ Actresses getting Married’. It is a trend or practice in Malayalam film industry where actresses becomes house wife leaving behind their career. But Muktha hasint made any conformations about this. The real surprise of this year’s state film award was the Best Actor Award which was given to Nivin Pauly along with Sudev Nair. His name was not at all popular among Malayali audience and no one really knows about such a film named My Life Partner as well. But he was the one who was appreciated along with Nivin Pauly for the performance which resulted Sudev Nair to receive the Best Actor State Award. Till the last moment everybody thought that either Jayasurya or Musthafa may win the award or there can be a remote chance for Mammootty as well. But Sudev emerged as a dark horse in the last round of screening and his performance in the film, made that much impact on the jury members that they cannot resist giving him the Best Actor Award for the year 2014 for his sterling performance in the film directed by MB Padma Kumar.

In fact in social medias, there is still discussion going on about why Jayasurya was denied award even after his fantabulous performances in films like Appothikkiri by Madhav Ramadas and Iyobinte Pusthakam by Amal Neerad. But the interesting news which came out that even the award winning character played by Sudev Nair was at first offered to Jayasurya and he denied it due to unknown reasons. It was revealed by the director M B Padma Kumar himself to the media.

Padma Kumar said, that he never wrote this film keeping in mind about any superstar to play the lead. He approached Jayasurya as he likes this actor’s approach towards each characters. He added that “It’s not Jayasurya’s shortcoming in his talent or performance that he didn’t get the award but it was the character’s depth played by Sudev which struck the jury”. The film My life Partner also won the Second Best Film Award as well.

Director M B Padma Kumar said that many actors whom he approached to play the lead in the film had denied to act in the film due to the theme of homosexuality which forms the crux of the plot. After a lot of trying to approach and convince, he went to search many actors in film institutes and then came Sudev Nair as the lead in the flick. Padma Kumar says he had to cop up with really hard times while making and after making this film. Many people who supported earlier, deserted him later. Now he feels relieved more than happiness as the effort of him and his team was recognized, he added.

Today once again Mohanlal mania had gripped the social media circles with the release of the first official teaser of the upcoming film of him named Loham conceived by writer and director Ranjith and it is all set to grace the screens all over the world from this 20th of August, Thursday.

Earlier there was a report that there will not be any teaser or a trailer for the film and it will be released without it. But may be because of the constant appeal from the Mohanlal fans and other film lovers, has provoked the team behind the film deciding to give a glimpse of the film through a small sample teaser. There was also an update which said that the censoring of the film will take place tomorrow.

The State Film Awards of Kerala had become a comedy show for last few years and the value and prestigious nature associated with it was long gone. The main reason for this situation is the blind and stupid hurries which decided those awards for last few years and the government who appointed such panels for deciding these awards, says who are disagreeing with the present condition. Even political pressure and double standards make it even worse to say the least.

Every year film lovers await the state film awards to get announced and every year Jury give blunders to make this a laughing stock among the people of Kerala. Earlier, the awards were given considering pure merit and performance but now a days more than merit and performance the jury gives importance to their own personal interest, political views and also many other selfish factors. When the deserved ones stand with their empty hands every Tom Dick and Harry goes away with the so called Prestigious State Awards which is usually given to the best in Mollywood once.

Now adding salt to insult the infamous actor Santhosh Pandit, one of them enquired why don’t you go for the nominations and he replied in one of his facebook post that he is ready to go for the State Award nominations for Best Actor from next year. In one of his facebook post about his upcoming cinema, a follower of him told him that now a days everybody gets State Awards as the jury is so worthless. Even Santhosh Pandit can get a Best Actor State Award if he had applied for a nomination in the state award competition adding sarcasm. And as a reply to his follower’s sarcastic comment Santhosh Pandit replied that he is considering it and will do it.

It was really a shame for Kerala as well as Malayalam film industry. Once Malayalam cinema looked up by the other film industries of Indian cinema with respect and wonder and they were astonished by the quality of films made here and they have no doubt that state awards of Kerala are the best in the whole India as it was declared keeping in mind of the class and culture of our state. But now the purity is lost as true class performances were ignored very easily for giving awards just to encourage some or to give someone a consolation prize for not giving him in the previous year or so.

The directorial debut of Jude Antony Joseph titled Om Shanti Oshana had released last year February starring Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim in the lead role. The flick which gave more importance to the female lead than the male lead has got great financial success at box office as well. And now it has got appreciation and recognition from the jury of State film awards as well. In the state film awards which is announced yesterday based on the films released last year, Om Shanti Oshana written by Midhun Manuel Thomas and directed by Jude Antony Joseph had received some prestigious awards.

The film had got the award for the most popular as well as aesthetically valuable film. Lijo Paul who edited this film got the best editor award and above all Nazriya Nazim had won the state award for best actress for her character in this film as well as one from Bangalore Days. But the controversies broke out right after the announcement as people thinks that this film don’t deserved the awards such aesthetically god and popular film award and also the award for best actress based on this flick. They showed their criticism on the facebook page of Jude Antony Joseph as well.

As a replay to that Jude Antony Joseph made it clear that he has no plans to refuse to accept the state award which is declared for his film as it is the result of the hard work and effort he and his crew had put in to make the film. He said it is a gift from God to him and there is no use criticizing him or making bad comments about his film. He also said sarcastically that if anyone had that much protest against him then go and drink some Goat Milk and let’s have a sound sleep.

But people had took it very offensively and now they are unleashing their anger and protest against Jude Antony in his facebook posts and he is been trolled in many social media pages and groups. They are making fun of him and even those who followed him for sometimes were also cannot resist trolling or attacking through online as his status had really seems to have provoked the common mass.

Loham, the flick scripted and directed by Ranjith, starring the universal star of Mollywood Mohanlal has already become the most awaited flick which is coming to grace the silver screens on this August 20 as an Onam Release of this year. There is so much hype going around the film because it’s a film from the fantabulous pair, Mohanlal and Ranjith. As social medias are discussing about the new look of Mohanlal with his twirled mustache in public appearances has reminded the film lovers about the mass blockbusters created by this pair. Many people are expecting a same kind of mass film from this team after seeing the posters of the film. But the fact is that this is not a mass film as they think and it is going to be a thriller which is told in a very realistic manner, confirms team Loham.

The director of the film, Ranjith says that the film is not following the usual type of storytelling as the story demands a different touch this time. Ranjith said that when he decided do a film with Mohanlal after the super successful Spirit which they did in 2012, he really wanted to give a different flavor to the new film of them. He confirms it saying that he can assure that this one is going to be a very different film told in a very different background.

Ranjith also added that saying different means it’s different and not for the sake of saying it. He considered every aspect of everything while doing this film. He had to take care of the fans of Mohanlal and film lovers, who admire the versatility in Mohanlal’s acting. Antony Perumbavoor, the producer of the film always like to make good entertainers alongside Mohanlal.

So, there are a lot of factors to consider and he said he did all this in this upcoming film Loham at the same time making it a very different movie for the spectators who always cherish something fresh on silver screen.His previous film with Dulquer Salmaan titled Njan did not do well at the Box office. But Loham will be an entertainer as well as a different experience for the spectators.

Mammootty rejected by jury as they thinks he is too handsome

A really surprising news was heard about the state awards that announced yesterday regarding the rejection of Mammootty from the list of the completion for best after award. Mammootty was out from the competition in the second round of the screening itself and it had been said by a jury member reportedly. In the final round they only considered Nivin Pauly, Jayasurya and Sudev Nair and later Nivin pauly and Sudev Nair shared the honor. And now the script writer of the film Munnariyippu had come out against jury who rejected Mammootty.

According to the reports the jury members had said that Mammootty’s character in Munnariyippu was rejected by the jury members because he was looking too glamorous for the character named Raghavan who was in the jail for more than 14 years. The Jury chairman John Paul reportedly said that Mammootty’s character portrayal has become unrealistic because of the high handsome level of the central character. Unni R, who is the screenplay writer of the flick said that if that is the reason why they did not consider Mammootty’s performance for awards then he did not need that award at all. Unni R criticized the Jury members saying that whether they considered an actor’s glamour or beauty than his performance.

Unni said that he had made that character after researching so much by visiting jails in Kerala. He said that Govinda Chamy’ who is in jail is a good example. When he went to jail he was not at all looking good and after some years jail he looks better and well. In Munnariyippu too the character played by Mammootty named Raghavan is living inside the jail premises by working there and he is not much disposed to hard sunlight as well. That is the reason why he is looking fair and handsome.

Unni R also said sarcastically that he is pleading with government to not to make an order to the film makers that from now on all characters from jail premises should be looking ugly or something like that. Jury chairman John paul and director of the film Venu had not reacted to this at all.
