Premam will mislead the children says director Kamal

Director Kamal told that Premam is a film which will mislead the mind of children and young people by showing the scenes like drinking alchohol in the class room and trying to get in a romantic affair with one’s own teacher in the college. Kamal says that it will morally degrade the young minds in our society and literally make them go against all our cultural values. Kamal also said that the controversy created around the premam piracy issue was also uncalled for and they made it a huge cry as if it is the first time that a pirated print of the film is come out in the open.

But social media reacted quickly to Kamal’s comments about Premam. They are not saying Premam is a classic or great film. But they are saying that why Kamal has saying this as he have no authority to say this kind of a comment against Premam when years back he made a movie in which heroine who is a college student loves her teacher. It was the film named Mazhayethum Munpe conceived by Kamal starring Mammootty, Sobhana and Annie. In that flick Annie loves Mammootty who was her teacher in college and the story of that film surrounding on that romantic thread. There is also scenes which shows college students using crackers to welcome a new teacher to their class. Social media ask Kamal that whether those scenes had mislead the young generation then. If not why he says that Premam will mislead this generation.

Some asks that Kamal’s son’s directorial venture named ‘100 Days of love’ is also a love story and what good message it gives to the society. Many people believes that it is a publicity stunt made by Kamal just before the release of his upcoming film Utopyayile Rajavu which will hit the screens in the coming August.

It seems that Premam cinema is getting all kinds of criticisms from every corner now and it is more like there is no good coming for the cinema after its first few weeks. The films dream run with excellent reviews were over within the first twenty days and after that so much criticisms and problems marred the flick like hell. When family audience began to go to theater the reviews of the film had begun to change from good to average and with the leaking of its censor copy the things become worse.

Many people had come out and lashed hard at the content of the flick and wondered why this flick is been celebrating this much in Kerala society. Many people criticized and analyzed it with that much precision that they went on to find fault with every minute aspect of the film. Celebrities like singer G.Venugopal had publicly lashed at Premam saying that he had just felt the worst possible while watching Premam with his family and he indirectly said that the film is good for nothing.

Now Manorama online reports that director Kamal had joined that list of people who disliked the film and according to the report the verteran director had said that this flick will mislead the young minds and specially that of the minds of children. The film shows the lead characters are drinking Alchohol sitting inside the class room. And in most parts of the film the characters seen as drinking alchohol or smoking cigarettes.

Apart from that the most important part of the story shows that the male lead of the film forms a love relationship with his teacher in the college and that is something which goes against the culture of our society. These things will serve as a catalyst to bring forth the suppressed negative emotions of the young ones and the minds of the children. That is why kamal says that the flick will mislead the children.

The director also says that it is not the first time that a pirated copy of a film comes out and the controversy that happened surround that issue is really unwanted.
