Acha Dhin releases tomorrow and shows start from morning

Earlier there was a report came from the team of Acha Dhin that even though the film will release tomorrow on the 17th of July, the show will only start from matinee in theaters across Kerala and that may be a decision due to religious reasons as Eid is on its way. But now the report came latest to us that the film will start its shows right from the morning shows tomorrow and that may be because the Eid is confirmed on Saturday and may be tomorrow evening.

Now the fans seems to be happy as earlier they have to wait till afternoon to see their star Mammootty in action on the silver screen after a gap. The flick’s second trailer is out yesterday and getting positive response from social media pages and people there. The hope about the film doing good has increased among the fans as the trailer is very good and it gives a glimpse of what they can expect from the flick directed by G.Marthandan and starred by Mega star Mammootty. Everybody know that this is the second outing of Marthandan with Mammootty as his first film also with the Mega star and it was Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus released in 2013 and was an average success as well.

The flick does not has much length and as per reports it only have 1 hour and 48 minutes of length and will move in a rather good pace as it is a thriller type movie as the trailer suggests. The character name of Mammootty is Durga Prasad who is a Jharkhand native by birth but settled in Kerala with his wife for the past twenty years or so. He is very much fluent in Malayalam and now he consider Kerala as his motherland as well and so much attached to this part of the world as well. The role of Mammootty’s character’s wife is played by a north Indian Model named Mansi Sharma who has famous for her advertisement for Idea cellular service.

Mollywood hopes that this Eid season will kicks start on a good note with films like Acha Dhin all set to screen from tomorrow.

After a gap Ithihasa fame actor Shine Tom Chacko is coming to you all with his new offering named Viswasam Athalle Ellam directed by debutant Jayaraj Vijay and as per the reports the flick will hit the screens on this coming july 31st. Shine is coming to track after facing some torrid times in his life about which you all know about and he is all set to leave it behind and start a new course of life. This upcoming flick Viswasam Athalle Ellam had already generate much hope among the audience in the light of all the things that happened in the life of Shine Tom Chacko and also the trailer of the film also clicked among the spectators.

Shine Tom Chacko yesterday has given an Exclusive interview to Onlookers Media and in which he spoke about his idols and super stars of Malayalam film industry, Mohanlal and Mammootty. Shine Tom Chacko said that he is a great fan of Mohanlal from his childhood days and always very crazy about Mohanalal’s acting. He always set Mohanlal as his idol in acting. Shine says that it was Mohanlal characters that made him laugh more than anything and made him think as well. Mohanlal is a source of inspiration for him in his life as an actor. Shine says that he still not had the luck to act along with Mohanlal and hopes that one day he will fulfill that dream to act or work along with his idol and inspiration.

Shine says about Mammootty too. Shine says that he met Mammootty while working as an assistant of director Kamal in films like Karutha Pakshikal, Rappakal etc. Before that many people said to him that Mammootty is very short tempered and gave him a different image about Mammootty which was some sort of negative one. But after started working with him he realize that Mammootty is a very cool and friendly person. He says that one day his father and mother came to the location of Rappakal and while he introducing artists to his parents Mammootty quite friendly asked him whether he is going to introduce him to the parents or not. That shows how simple Mammootty is as a person.

Mani Ratnam’s next with Karthi and Dulquer titled as Komali ?

For the last few weeks the rumors about Mani Ratnam’s next project after OK Kanmani is doing its round in social media as well in the tinsel town. At the very early stage a report came in that Malayalam super star Mammootty will play the lead in next Mani Ratnam film. This news was spread with so much details that AR Rahman will be the musician of the film and PC Sreeram will once again crank the camera and the big news was that Aishwarya Rai will be seen as the female lead again in a Mani Ratnam film as well.

There was lot of discussion about Thalapathy was also happened as Mammootty’s one and only film with Mani Ratnam was that which released way back in 1991. As expecte that was indeed a fake news and the clarified news later came out. The updated version of the earlier news later come out which said that it was not Mammootty actually going to play the lead role in Mani Ratnam film but Mani prefers Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan over Mammootty as he was so much impressed with young Dulquar’s show of talent and skill in his outing in OK Kanmani.

Then the news was updated with the info that along with Dulquer Salmaan, Tamil young rising star Karthi also play the male lead in the film and the female lead is said to be Aishwarya Rai and Sruthi Hasaan. Both Karthi and Sruthi Hasan is going to work with Mani Ratnam for the first time ever in their career as well if the news is true.

The most latest update to the above news is that the so called Mani Ratnam project with Dulquer and Karthi is titled as Komali. Another title Un Parvaikku Mattum also considered for the film by the producers of the film which is Madras talkies. After all this buzz the official confirmation from the side of the director had still not come but it seems to be quite official now as per the sources from the industry says.

Everyone now believes that Mani Ratnam will soon break the silence hopefully and confirm which will be his next and with whom as well.

After Mammootty and Mohanal now it is Nivin Pauly

Mammootty and Mohanlal are the most valuable stars in Mollywood for almost 30 years now and no one ever came even near them when it comes to the star value an in terms of acting capacity as well. That is why they are consider as the legends of Indian cinema. In the past 30 years many have come and gone but they are still there with their head held high and with absolute power. Actors like Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, Dileep and Prithviraj came later but only fought for the third place below Mohanlal and Mammootty and they decorated the third place at different intervals of time in Mollywood.

But now that place is took up by a youngster named Nivin Pauly and it is the situation that there is a fourth contender for that third and he is a quite strong opponent for others. The consecutive success had almost sealed his place in that third spot and he deserves that spot as well as he doing well continuously as a star. The consistency of success which earlier blesse actors like Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, Dileep and Prithviraj at different periods now seems to have taken the side of Nivin Pauly recently.

Double Barrel release postponed again

Lijo Jose Pellissery directorial Multi star flick named Double Barrel seems to be in some kind of problems regarding the release. As the latest update from the team says that the film will hit the screens on this coming Onam season. Earlier they reported that the film will come to screen on this Ramzan season and now it is postponed again to Onam. The case now is that nobody is quite sure about whether it will release at Onam season as well owes much to it’s continues postponements.

The film is much anticipated due to two main reasons. One is the awesome star cast of the movie which includes Prithviraj, his brother Indrajith, young stars Asif Ali, Kollywood’s rising star Arya and along with them artists like Chemaban Vinod, Vijay Babu, Swathy Reddy, Isha Shervani, Vinayakan etc. The second reason for its anticipation that it is next film of Lijo Jose Pellissery after the super success of the Fahad Fazil starrer film Amen.

Double Barrel had first all set to be release on March 2015 but it had postponed to April. Then when April came the film had postponed to May 15. Later that date too changed much to the disappointment of the fans and it had again postponed to July 17 as an Eid release. And now the story repeats as it had postponed again to Onam.

The film is financed and distributed by August cinemas which is owned by Prithviraj, Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Nadeshan and now Arya too joined them as per reports. No one clearly know why the film is postponing continuously. There are some news doing its round in social media circles as well as in industry circles is that the budget of the film had went beyond their expectations and that triggered some kind of issues in the production side of the flick.

But these all are were rumors and we really don’t know about its authenticity. But people has already become impatient to a level that they seems to be just gave up on the film as per the reports coming from some social media pages.

We know the fact that in dialogue delivery and using subtle changes in voice tones to create magnificent effect Mohanlal is a champion or probably the best in Mollywood. Many people from the film industry had testifies this fact many times as well in many interviews and other media interactions. Mohanlals dialogues were so popular in Mollywood that we can say that he is the one who had delivered most number of super hit one liners as well as lengthy dialogues in Mollywood. When actors like Mammootty is a champion in using different slangs in Malayalam languages Mohanlal seems to the champion of dialogue delivery without even prompting and his mastery at giving emotional undertones for each and every word he speaks and that too in high as well as low voice profile in unbeatable as well.

Now Maniyanpillai Raju who is an actor as well as financer in Mollywood had said that if anyone who can deliver dialogues as perfectly as Mohanlal in the younger generation of actors it will be young super star Prithviraj. Maniyanpillai Raju said that Prithviraj has the skill like Mohanlal to deliver lengthy dialogues without prompting and he can also give fare bit of emotional undertones to that dialogues even though Mohanlal is the best in it.

Maniyanpillai Raju says to Nana film magazine that Mohanlal just needs a one time reading and then he delivers the dialogues with astonishing precision without any prompting. Maniyanpillai Raju had financed films mostly with Mohanlal in the lead and most of them are super successes like Vellanakalude Nadu, Aey Auto conceive by Priyadarshan and Venu Nagavally respectively. Maniyanpillai Raju had financed film with Prithviraj as well name Anantha Badhram. Raju had acted along with both the actors too in many films during these years.

Maniyanpillai Raju says that a director who does films with Mohanlal never gets satisfied with any other actor later in his career as that much is the co-operation he gets from an actor like Mohanlal. Mohanlal not behaves like a super star and he always gets ready for shoot even it is midnight and never complaints to a director about anything and behaves like an obedient servant in front of the director. Many directors had said the same about Mohanlal and it seems like Prithviraj is following Mohanlal in his acting career.

Baahubali got rupees 230 crore in 5 days

The money game continues for Baahubali in box office and it seems the race horse is still on its mission to topple many records at Indian box office history. We had been reporting its gross collection all over the globe for past four days and as we reported the film had crossed 200 crore in just 4 days of its theatrical run making a new record in Indian box office. And now the 5 days collection is also out which makes the total gross of the film to 230 crore. But we have to see that there is considerable amount of drop in collection from the last 4 days.

Trade guides suggests that it is about 40% drop in the box office gross on its 5th day compared to the opening day collections. This classic flick was continuously getting above or around 50 crore in the first four days and on the fifth day it has dropped down to around 25 crore. The Hindi version of the flick has so far got around 30 crore and continuing to do good business at weekdays as well.

The flick which is made on a budget around 250 crore seems to have now earning the profit from its 5th day itself. The 230 crore in 5 days itself a new record in Indian box office and it had surpassed the record holder PK this time and if it had to beat PK in all- time record grossing section then it will have to collect close to 650 crores from all around the globe. The drop in collection may be a barrier to achieve it but the makers hope that it will pick up this weekend on its collections. This weekend has a flurry of big releases in Bollywood and Kollywood and that can take away some screens from Baahubali as well.

It has already broke the records set by Shankar films Enthiran and I and become the fastest film to reach 200 crore from south India as well. The heartening thing is that the flick’s advance booking stats are still going strong everywhere and that itself giving us the hope that it will pick up again in this weekend.
