Love 24X7 Review
Popular actor Dileep is making his career to go through a whole new path now-a-days. Some failure made him think deep about his selection of films and the result of that mindful thought was doing him very good indeed. The first step of it was the film Chandrettan Evideya by Sidharth Bharathan and the success it had got. Then the next step of him to commit the film Love 24×7 which is not at all a usual Dileep film but a film in which Dileep’s talent fits in. The much waited Dileep starrer film directed by debutant female director Sreebala K Menon had released today all over Kerala.
Sreebala K Menon was the associate director of Sathyan Anthikkad and she had worked with Dileep while Sathyan Anthikkad was doing Vinodayathra. This film Love 24×7 was financed by Dileep himself in association with Mukesh R Mehta under Grand Productions and E4 Entertainments. The flick has been written by the director herself and introduces a new heroine to Mollywood named Nikhila Vimal who had earlier acted in a supporting actress role in film like Bhagya Devatha.
The story of Love 24×7 takes place in and around media and media people’s life. We can see an honest attempt to porteay the life and struggles of people works in our popular medias. They too have their problems and sometimes has to act against their own will and personal satisfaction to keep things going in their profession as well as in their personal life. This flick focuses mainly on the life of two characters named Roopesh Nambiar and Kabani enacted by Dileep and Nikhila Vimal. Their love affair forms a major part of the narration of the first half. Then it becomes a lot more serious with the problems faced by the workers of media persons and also about the competition in the media field. The characters played by Suhasini and Sasi Kumar named Sarayu and Satheesh also has a key role in the moving forward of the story. It also discusses about the priorities in relationship of different people.
Sreebala K Menon seems to be in control from the very beginning of the story and she never loses the grip on the way things are going. It was she is the star of the film really as the screenplay written by her also has enough depth as well elements to entertain you. The realistic way of telling the story is nicely blended with the entertaining aspect of the film by the director. The music by Bijipal is soulful and really suits the way of story- telling by Sreebala K Menon. Sameer Haq’s cinematography needs a clap as his frames was just superb and really it was complimenting each and every minute aspects of the story very well.
Dileep has given one of his best performances in this flick and it is very nice to see him in his matured avatar. Nikhila had made her debut memorable with actors like Sreenivasan, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Suhasini and Sasi Kumar who always does their parts to perfection without any chance of questioning it. The artist who needs special mention is Manju Pillai who gave a superb little show as the mother of Kabani. But the pace of the film sometimes drops drastically and it may irritate the audience specially the younger ones who needs a far more pace to get immersed in the perception of a story.
Love 24×7 is feel good entertainer with some honest presentation of of the life of media workers. This will be a film for those who love to see films which are close to real life situations. It may or may not attract youth but will surely a decent film for the family this season.

KL 10 Pathu Review
There was a lot of releases in this Eid season in Mollywood including the films of Mega star Mammootty and popular actor Dileep. There is also film starring the popular pair of Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon as well. But quite surprisingly the most anticipated one is this season was not the films that mentioned above but it is the film named KL 10 Pathustarring Unni Mukundan and directed by a debutant named Muhsin Parari.
The main reason for that may be the presence of the name Lal Jose in the production and distribution side of the film as the people of Kerala believes that Lal Jose will not give them a bad film whether its his directorial venture or his production/distribution venture. The fantastically made trailer of the film also had made the expectation about the film to reach the top. KL10 Pathu had hit the screens all over today. The movie has been written by Muhsin Parari himself and financed by LJ films, Alexander Mathew and Satheesh Mohan.
KL10 Pathu had set in Malappuram district of Kerala and it is really a film that tells us about the people, their likes and dislikes, the innocence of Malappuram district and had made the best use of Malappuram slang to make the story go forward in the most entertaining manner possible. The story revolves mainly around Ahamad played by Unni Mukundan and his passion for Football and also his love affair with Sadiya played by debutant Chandni Sreedharan. It can be termed as romantic comedy but a different one with its narrative style. Ahammad’s eloping with his lover shadiya and his brother and friends pursuing him forms the major part of the film. The use of Sreenath Bhasi’s character as a narrator of the story is a fresh experiment as well.
Muhsin Parari is a film maker to watch out for in Mollywood in the coming future as he did made the film like a really experienced film maker and with his own script he really bring out the best from his actors. He never let the film to lose its grip on the audience and really made an honest portrayal of the events in the story. The story goes forward in a medium pace which may be the only negative in the storytelling. Bijipal scored in this film heavily with his music that brings out the soul of Malappuram district. Vishnu Narayan’s DOP was also brilliant.
We can say that on performance side Unni Mukundan gave his best performance ever as Ahammad and this will indeed change his career to another level for sure. The supporting actors such as Saiju Kuruppu, Aju Varghese, Sreenath Bhasi, Neeraj Madhav etc were the life of this film with their hilarious performance and they really made the audience clap many times with their funny one liners in the Malappuram slang. But at the same time the slang causes a problem of understanding what characters are saying at many parts as well. People who does not familiar with the Malappuram slang may find some difficulty at times to understand many jokes in the flick.

Ganesh Kumar says he knows the sources of Premam copy leak
Premam issue has just ceased to be the priority of online Medias for a week as they got other subjects like Baahubali, Papanasam etc and also the Ramzan films are on its way to the silver screen. We also don’t hear much about that issue now from leading online news portals as well. The last we heard about the investigation is that the Anti-Piracy cell had conducted a raid in the Censor board office and seized the CD containing the film Premam which had given there to get censored.
Ant-Piracy cell had done so as the board had crossed the deadline given to them to submit the disc before the investigating authority. So they got the warrant from the court and proceed with the raid to seize what they want. They had their own doubts about the popular claim that Premam leaked out from the censor board office itself. So they had sent the seized disc from the board for more technical studies by the experts to get more vital information about the source from which the pirated print came out.
At this time that a revelation had come from an unexpected center and that is from actor and also the member of legislative assembly of Kerala, Mr. KB Ganesh Kumar. Ganesh Kumar had said that he clearly knows the source from which Premam had leaked out and he decided to give that information to Ant-Piracy cell. He blames that our police is not at all trying to find out the source from which it had come out to the public. They are just making the public fool by some cover up actions against poor CD shop owners and in fact making the lives of common CD shop owners a hell in the name of piracy rather than finding out the real source which had caused all this problem.
Ganesh Kumar added that the so called problems in the film industry is created by the people from the industry itself. On the wide release issue he said that people from small towns as well as from rural areas also wants to see films and the stand of Exhibitors Federation as the films should only be released at big theaters cannot be an agreeable one.
Madhura Naranga Review
When the flick named Ordinary came in the year 2012 there was not anticipation about the film as it is directed by a newcomer named Sugeeth and the Kuchacko Boban- Biju Menon combination was not hailed as a success pair at that time. But upsetting all that Ordinary had become an Extraordinary hit of that year and that one film itself gave the pair of Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon the status of a super hit combination in Mollywood and they repeated that success in some of the films that came after as well.
Now another film has came today named Madhura Naranga and the same team that made Ordinary an extra ordinary success is behind this flick as well. Directed by Sugeeth and scripted by Nishad Koya and starring the above mentioned success combo of Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon. Attraction of the film also increases that this movie had the new acting talent in mollywood, Neeraj Madhav and also one debutant named Parvathy Ratheesh, the daughter of Late actor Ratheesh playing the female lead. The financers are M.K Nassar and Stanley C.S under the banner named Goodline productions.
The story of the flick revolves around the lives of 4 charcters name Jeevan (Kunchacko Boban), Salim (Biju Menon), Kumar (Neeraj Madhav) and Thamara (Parvathy Ratheesh). The story is set in the background of Gulf countries and Sri Lanka and Parvathy is playing the role of a Srilankan Tamil girl. The story picks up when thamara comes into the lives of jeevan, Salim and Kumar accidentally and later falls in love with Jeevan. She is been followed by Sharjah police and had to live hiding away from their eyes. The film portrays the life of Jeevan and Thamara to live together when the fate makes them apart through various plots.
The film is a love story which has enough humour and sentimental moments to make the spectators glued to their seats. The performance of Pavathy Ratheesh has been superb as Thamara and she never gave the feel that she is a newcomer to the industry. Kunchabo Boban-Biju Menon-Neeraj Madhav combination had worked out well and Biju Menon stole the show at many moments. One of the negative of the film is its length as at some point the film lags a bit but not to the extent of making people bore to death. The music by Sreejith Sachin is average but not disappointing. But a romantic film needs a great melody or romantic song which can melt the mind of the audience and that is somewhat lacking in it. The camera work by Faisal Ali is good and it gives the much needed atmosphere right for the flick.
Sugeeth had once again showed great control over the narrative and his skills really managed to hold the plot together. Nishad Koya’s screenplay also gave much strength to the plot even though they can cut off some unwanted scenes to shorten the length as it could have given much more pace to the flick. It has been an above average affair when it comes to the totality. The thing is that if you don’t compare it with their super success Ordinary or watch this without expecting an Ordinary then it will surely entertain you and it can be a film for the families as well in this season.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan Review
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is one of the most awaited flick in Bollywood this year and this Eid season was graced with its release. The flick was much awaited because of two main reason. One reason was of course Salman Khan who is having his best years at box office right now with continuous successes even though he is going through a bad patch in his personal life. Salman Khan was the financer of this flick as well with Telugu producer Rockline Venkitesh.
The second factor for its anticipation was the director of the film Kabir Khan. His last film was also with Salman Khan in the lead named Ek Tha Tiger and it was a record breaking blockbuster as well. So naturally the hopes on this actor-director pair is too high. The Telugu connection of Bajrangi Bhaijaan not ends with the production side. The screenplay of the flick has been written by KV Vijayendra Prasad who is the script writer of the magnum opus Telugu film Baahubali. He had wrote the script in association with the director Kabir Khan and Parvez Sheikh.
The story of the flick set in the background of Delhi and Pakistan. It shows the life of two characters named Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi aka Bhajrangi played by Salman Khan and Munni aka Shahida played by Harshali Malhotra. Munni is a little girl of 6 years old who is a Pakistani. She is mute from her childhood and her mother comes to Delhi with her to seek the blessings from a saint in Delhi with the hope that her daughter may blessed with the ability to speak. But on her way back to Pakistan the child get lost in India.
Munni comes in to the life of Bhajrangi who came to delhi in search of a job. Bhajrangi who is very innocent and affectionate took her with him and decided that he will bring that child to her home that was in Pakistan after he come to know that she is a Pakistani girl. The flick shows his journey with that girl to Pakistan from India and how he helps that girl to reach her home there.
We have to say that Salman Khan had given his career best performance as Pawan aka Bhajrangi. He made the audience cry at the climax portion of the film with the sheer brilliance of his acting and he looks perfect for the character as well. He was so innocent yet determined and had well-adjusted within the body of that character. Another notable performances came from Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Harshali Malhotra who did a sterling job as the Pakistani journalist and the lost child respectively. Kareena Kapoor done a neat job as the female lead even though she had nothing to do much.
The screenplay was so engrossing and the direction was brilliant that the audience were glued to the seats without any hiccups till the end and left the cinema hall with the tears of joy and satisfaction. They really told the film in a class way and included the masala element only where it needed. The music by Pritam and Dop by Aseem Misra was really great as it captured the mood of the story really well and conveyed to the audience with a smooth flow.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is undoubtedly one of the best film that came in Bollywood this year and one of the best in Salman Khan’s career. Don’t miss this as it is really a great Eid Gift for you and your family.

Acha Dhin Review
The Mollywood box office had going through a decent patch right from the end of March with successes like Oru Vadakkan Selfie and Bhaskar The Rascal and went to record a series of successful films in the later months. Then monsoon and Ramzan Month kept the audience away from theater along with the piracy issue of Premam and the theaters were quite empty till July 10. Then came Baahubali and it had really done a great business here.
And now it’s the turn of Mollywood films to show its strength and the first film that came after the holy month of Ramzan was the Mega star Mammootty starrer flick named Acha Dhin conceived by G.Marthandan which had released today all over. The screenplay of the flick was written by Vijjesh who had earlier written a beautiful script of Lal Jose- Mammootty team’s film named Emmanuel. This film is financed by S George who is a close associate of Mammootty over the years.
Acha Dhin revolves around the life of Durga Prasad (Mammootty), a Jharkhand native who had come to Kerala before 20 years and settled here after that. He has a wife as well named Sheethal (Mansi Sharma). He loves this part of the world as his own. He and his wife expecting their first child after so many years of treatment. But when his wife admitted in hospital a sudden emergency comes in her delivery and durga Prasad was in need for big money. In search for that money he many but all disappointed him.
Accidentally he met a group of wanted criminals and while he was trying to catch them in order to get the reward money from the government he ends up in a situation in which he receives money from the criminals itself as money in time is so important for the life of his wife and the baby coming out. With that money his wife comfortably delivers the baby. But durga later finds out that the criminals are on the way to a terrorist attack in Kerala and he sets out of his own to stop them. That form the major part of the story of the flick.
Direction by G.Marthandan is ok in but in some parts it seem like lost his control over the proceedings. Same is the case with Vijeesh’s screenplay as it failed specially in the second half. The flick follows tha pattern of a thriller and managed to thrill the spectators at parts. The music director of the film is Bijipal and he had done a neat job with the songs that blends quite well to the story and also to the pace with which the story of the film is going forward. Pradeep Nair’s direction of photography also have to be appreciated as his frames really set the tone of a family thriller nicely.
All actors had played their part without any hiccups and Padmaraj Ratheesh’s performance needs a special mention as he had given another notable performance after the one he gave in Fireman this year. The north Indian heroine of the film Mansi Sharma also had given a very matured show of her acting skills.
Acha Dhin is a film specially for the fans of Mammootty and has the elements for them to get entertained. Some other films also releasing tomorrow and we have to wait and see whether Acha Dhin will give good time to Mammootty or not.
