Nivin Pauly’s Premam is now one of the biggest hits of Mollywood just below the blockbusters like Mohanlal’s Drishyam and Multi starrer Bangalore Days. In fact we never really expected this film to become such a big hit even though we may expected a good film and a successful one from the team of Nivin Pauly and Alphonse Puthren who gave us one like that earlier named Neram which in fact the debut venture of the director Alphonse Puthren and also one which gave a much awaited hit to Nivin Pauly after Thattathin Marayathu.
But now Nivin Pauly in a radio interview said that not only the audience but also the entire team behind Premam is shocked to see the gigantic success the film is getting as they honestly never really expected such a big success. They only thought that this is going to be a good film and a successful one like their earlier association. To the surprise of all it really went to sky high with its success which had really made them spellbound and shocked or stunned whatever may be the word to describe that feeling.
Nivin Pauly had said that they had only one fear as the film had almost 2.45 hours length which may sometimes cause problems for the audience. Even though his last year blockbuster named Bangalore Days also had around 3 hour length it had 3 heroes in it and audience cannot be bored watching a single one on the screen as they has three. But in Premam only Nivin is the popular face and others are all newcomers and they really worried about how it will work out with the audience. But somehow it all worked out well and Audience has accepted it with both hands without any problems and complaints.
He expressed his sincere gratitude to the financer of this film Mr. Anwar Rasheed without whose great support this film could not have become this better as it is now. Nivin Pauly also become a lucky charm for Anwar Rasheed as his first production venture Bangalore Days also has Nivin Pauly and now Premam also. Both films being blockbusters Nivin is really a trump card for Anwar Rasheed.
