Pappayude Swantham Appoos is back

Pappayude Swantham Appoos is perhaps one of the most emotional movies, which dealt with the inexplicable relationship of a father and son. There would hardly be a person who has not burst into tears after watching the love of this father and son. While Mammootty demonstrated the unwavering devotion of a father with perfection, Badhshah enchanted everyone with his amazing performance.

Badhshah is preparing to enthrall us once again as he is set to make his return with the movie Mumbai Taxi. Badhsha will characterize a taxi driver in the movie. Fazil Basheer will helm the movie. Jaison.T.John will arrange the script of the movie. They will kick-start the shooting soon. Mumbai is selected as the main location of the movie, which explains the title of the movie. Badhshah touched on the topic of the movie and said that the movie is based on an unprecedented incident that takes place on one fine day. He decided not to let out any more information with regard to the movie.

Marina Michael Kurishingal will play the female protagonist in the movie. Like Badhshah, she gave only the elementary details about the movie. She noted that she will represent a valiant girl Nanditha in the movie. She made an interesting revelation that her curly hair was one of the key reasons the director booked her for the role as he thought that it would add up to the dauntless nature of her character. She will also be seen in a Tamil movie Ennul Aayiram in which she will spot a straightened hair. She had earlier appeared in the movie Haram along with Fahadh Fasil where she played the role of his friend.

Badhshah is the recipient of state award for his performance in Pappyude Swantham Appoos. But, he took a break from movies as he was preoccupied with his studies. He became vocal about his return and commented that even though he had to put his career on hold for his education, he has always loved movies and that he immediately said yes to Mumbai Taxi after hearing the story. He admitted that he is worried since he is doing a movie after a long time, but is excited about the movie as well.

Mollywood woke up from sleep to a fresh and promising start

Malayalam film industry was going through one of the worst lean patches it has ever gone through. And when we consider genuinely successful films, after the success of last year release named Vellimoonga there is nothing or not a single one there to show up. The whole hope was then naturally fell on the New year releases of 2015 and that hope also failed miserably as mollywood witnessed a string of flops one after another even without making the least impact in the box office statistics.

Only Mammootty starrer film named Fireman which was directed by Deepu karunakaran and Major ravi directorial Prithvi raj film titled Picket 43 had made the slightest impact on the financial scheme of things. Mollywood was thus remained dead for last 4-5 months and new controversies also broke out during time which includes exhibitors federation, producers, and directors etc. Exhibitors come out openly and said that there is not a single hit film at all in this year and they accused that Fireman and Picket 43 are just poster hits, not real ones. They also said that of this situation had continued in the summer vacation and Vishu festival season Mollywood will breath its last very soon.

But things have changed quickly now. Summer releases gave a fresh air to Mollywood and there are 3 films which brought new life to Mollywood. They are 100 Days Of Love helmed by Jenuse Muhammad starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menon which is a romantic film, Oru Vadakkan Selfie conceived by Prajith starring Nivin Pauly which is a comedy thriller and Ennum Eppozhum made by Sathyan anthikkad and starred none other than Mohanlal which is family entertainer with a simple plot and lots of humour.

100 Days Of Love released on March 20 and got good opening at box office and reports says that it will end up making profit at box office. Oru Vadakkan Selfie got a great opening and support of youth which will hopefully help it to make it to the hit chart. The third one was Ennum Eppozhum which was a sure bet at box office even before its release because it was a Sathyan Anthikkad- Mohanlal film and the film just repeated the success which is always the story with Mohanlal- Sathyan Anthikkad team.

The film has got a great opening for a family film beating Drishyam’s opening day collections. The support of the families for this film is enormous and it will sure to get to the top of hit list within a few days from now. Theaters are filling with families thanks to Ennum Eppozhum and filling with youth thanks to Oru Vadakkan Selfie and 100 Days Of Love and all generation star Mohanlal and new generation stars Nivin Pauly and Dulquer Salmaan done it this time. And at last Malayalam cinema had wake up from its quite a long sleep for a great show ahead.

Ennum Eppozhum, A usual Sathyan Anthikkad way at Box office

Ennum Eppozhum fist day collections are out today. It is a decent 81 lakhs from Kerala in its opening day. When we consider or compare it to the first day collection of usual mass films of Mohanlal it is just not in a satisfactory level. Usual Mass films of Mohanlal gets collections which ranges around 2.5 to 3 cr and he is the king of openings as he has got the most number of fans in Kerala and he is the greatest crowd puller Mollywood has ever seen.

But this is family film which targets family audience the most. The youth are the ones which gives a film the grand first day collections and they preferred Oru Vadakkan Selfie which has released on the same day. But Ennum Eppozhum has opened to positive reviews from all over and getting very good ratings and reviews from all the popular medias.

As per reports the film is showing a gradual growth in collection and keeping a steady going with good mouth publicity and in for long run. Sathyan anthikkad films always shows the trend of starting on a low note, then picks up pace and then went on to become great successes at box office. If we check all his films box office performance it shows this trend of decent openings, good mouth publicity and later with the support of families cruising to hit chart with long run. Ennum Eppozhum also showing the same trend.

According to the reports coming from theaters all over, the online reservation for the film is increasing day by day and houseful shows are reporting back to back with heavy family rush. This can be taken as an indication of what is going to happen. Drishyam, the biggest hit in mollywood started like this with a low initial in the first day and later went on to become the first ever mollywood film to reach the 50 crore club. Mohanlal films have that kind of a reach that if a decent opinion spreads, the film will go on to become a great success with heavy returns which revives the whole industry.

Riding on high hopes, Bhaskar is coming your way

The wait will be over within 2 weeks and Hit maker Siddique is coming back with Bhaskar The Rascal which has Mega star Mammootty and Nayanthara in the lead and siddique’s previous film was the film titled Ladies and Gentleman starred Mohanlal and Meera Jasmine in the lead. This film Bhaskar The Rascal is all set to release and according to reports we are getting it will hit the screen on April 12th. The film tells the story of Bhaskar, his unusual ways of looking at things and also the relationships of him with his son and with others who coming to his life. The film has artists like Kalabahavan Shajon, Nayanthara, Master Sanoop, Jananrdhanan etc.

We all know the fact that Siddique-Lal duo was the most successful film maker duo in mollywood history as all of their films are super hits and record breakers. Later they split up due to some personal differences and began make films independently. Lal also tried his hands at acting and now he is one of the most popular actor in mollywood who had won the state award for best actor two times. While Siddique continued his golden run as a director and he had a dream debut in Bollywood as well with the film Bodyguard in which Salman Khan played the lead role.

As a part of summer release 3 films already made it to the theaters and they are Dulquer Salmaan’s 100 Days Of Love conceived by debutant Jenuse, Mohanlal’s Ennum Eppozhum helmed by Sathyan Anthikkad and Nivin Pauli’s Oru Vadakkan Selfie directed by another debutant Prajith. And the most heartening thing is that all these films getting great audience response and already reached to the top of hit chart giving a breather for Mollywood from a series of flopes. According to reports, Tollywood actor Allu Arjun all set to make his first appearance in Bollywood and will be making his bollywood debut in the upcoming dance film titled Anybody Can Dance 2 (ABCD 2) which is sequel film. Popular as dancing star, Allu arjun is a great dancer and he will be seen in a cameo appearance with his dancing shoes on and showcasing his dancing skills to Bollywood.

The director of the film is Remo D’Souza and sources close to the actor told the media that the character Allu Arjun will be playing is Aryan Chauhan and it is a cameo role role where he’ll showcase his dance moves for which he is famous for in South India. The sources also told the media that it was only due to the request of choreographer turned director (also actor) Prabhudeva that Allu Arjun had agreed to be a part of the film and do this cameo for the film. They also said to the media that he has already shot his portion in the film.

Anybody Can Dance 2 or ABCD 2 is the sequel of the 2013 super hit film Anybody Can Dance directed by Remo D’Zousa and produced by Sidharth Roy Kapoor and Ronnie Screwvala. In that film the star cast include Prabhu Deva, Kay Kay Menon, Ganesh Acharya, Punit Pathak, Lauren Gottlieb, Salman Yusuff Khan and Dharmesh Yelande.

And the second part or the sequel ABCD 2 which is slated for release on June 19 will have new Bollywood sensation Varun Dhawan, Prabhudeva and Sradha Kapoor in key roles as well. Allu Arjun is now very busy promoting his upcoming Telugu release S/O Satyamurthy which will hit the screens shortly all over. Varun Dhawan will play a character named Suresh Mukund in this film.

Varun is now busy with the work of this film and also with the mega project starring Sharukh khan directed by Rohit Shetty title Dilwale and it is slated for a Christmas release this year. Sradha kapoor playing a character named Vinnie in Anybody Can Dance 2 or ABCD 2. Anyway with a wonderful star cast this time, the team is hoping for a much bigger success of the sequel.

Each celebrity from film industry has many a number of followers or fans who is very closely monitoring each moves of their hero and each one which is going opposite him.

The latest issue regarding the matter of online attack is about Mohanlal’s latest film named Ennum Eppozhum and a director named Ajai vasudev’s remarks about it. Ennum Eppozhum was released yesterday all over India along with another film Oru Vadakkan Selfie which has Nivin Pauly in the lead. Now there is a screen shot going viral in social media sites which is said to be taken from the timeline or Facebook page of director Ajai Vasudev who is the director of last year’s Mammootty starrer film named Rajadhiraja. The screenshot contains his remarks about the film and that too in a negative way.

The screen shot showing that he is praising the film Oru Vadakkan Selfie and degrading the film Ennum Eppozhum by saying that it is not a good one and also indirectly saying that Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikkad had failed before Vineeth Sreenivasan and Nivin Pauly. Mohanlal fans and his followers were really agitated by these remarks seen in that screenshot and they are trolling and attacking Ajai Vasudev in online in whatever way they could adopt. But when we checked the profile of Ajai Vasudev there is nothing so called status by him. Either he may have removed it or the screenshot spreading which caused great agitation among fans is a fake one. But he is been getting attacked in a very strong manner by the fans of Mohanlal.

Mohanlal is the star with most number of fans and followers in Kerala and in social media too. So anything like this even if it is a fake one will create unbelievable reactions from the people who love him. We don’t know whether the screenshot is a real one or fake one. We even don’t know Ajai Vasudev is innocent or not. But we are sure that these kind of things are not good for Mollywood and its future. Meanwhile Ennum Eppozhum has got very good reviews from all the social media pages and online portals and also getting positive word of mouth from the people of Kerala. Hope these kind of not so good things does not affect the successful going of the film.
