Major Mahadevan is one of the evergreen character and also one of epic proportions in Mollywood. We can say that this character is the most famous Military character ever made in Mollywood. As you all know the creator of this character is Major Ravi and the one who made this character one of the best in Indian cinema is arguably the greatest actor living in our country today, the one and only Mohanlal. As per report Major Ravi- Mohanlal team is coming together again and that too with the character Major Mahadevan.
Earlier reports came in that Mohanlal and Major Ravi will do a film different from the military atmosphere and it will a family thriller. But now the reports coming in with a different story which tells that, it will be another military story that tells the incidents that happened in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. It will be the 5th film of Mohanlal- Major Ravi combination. Their first film was Keerthichakra the film which introduced Major Mahadevan to Mollywood film lovers. It was major Ravi’s second film and it was one of the biggest blockbuster of that year.
Then came up with Kurukshetra which told the story of Kargil war and Major Mahadevan is the hero of that film too which a success even though not a big one as of Keerthichakra. Their third outing but ends up in a disaster which was Kandahar which told the story of a plane Hijack. The film had none other than Amitab bachchan in a cameo role and it created so much hype before the release and ends up as a failed mission from the team. Their last outing was Karmayodha which was a cop story and that too not well received at box office.
After two back to back failures Major Ravi is back with a success this year with Picket 43 in which Prithviraj was the hero and that too a suggestion of Mohanlal as Major Ravi went with it to Mohanlal first. The new film will be a big budget film and reports also heard that Prithviraj or another young hero also will be a part of that film.
