Anegan Review

0

Anegan, the much awaited flick from Kollywood hit the screens all over today. The movies was an eagerly waiting one because of the great combination of KV Anand and Dhanush who is growing as one of the best ever young talent in Indian film Industry. Dhanush is fresh from the success of his last flick Vela Illa Pattadhaari and K V Anand is on a comeback trail after his not so successful last film with Surya titled Maatran.

Anegan in one word is a decent entertainer which will not make you disappointed. But it is not fabulous one as the director’s previous films like Ayan or Ko. The story of the film is really a fresh one which happens on the life of Aswin, played by Dhanush and Madhumathi, played by Amyra Dastur. The story centered around their love and the events that connects their love to their previous births to the present life. The events are woven together in the script quite well and K V Anand tries to give us visual treat.

The story is telling through four different times and the director had succeeded in telling it without much confusion and complication. Also the flowing of the story from one period to another and the placement of songs etc are very good. The songs are pleasing to the ears and also the director had succeeded in putting together all the elements of entertainment in the film. It is an out and out Dhanush film in which he gave a sterling performance. He did everything like, dance, fight with so much ease and entertained the spectators with his superbly energetic dialogue delivery and very well shaped looks of different periods.

Others like Karthik, Aishwarya Devan, Aashish Vidhyarthi, Amyra Dastur, Vinaya Prasad etc also done a great job and performed very well. The visuals were great but the weak climax and loose script here and there prevented the film to become a fabulous entertainer to just an average or decent entertainer.  The climax is so predictable and it cannot justify the buildup that was created from the beginning of the story. On the whole Anegan is a paisa vasool flick from KV Anand – Dhanush team and for a Dhanush fan it is something  good to watch.

0

Rajinikanth is considered as the biggest super star India has ever seen and he is also known for his simplicity in real life. He is always very open about friendship and other relations in his life and give great values to his relationships. Recently Rajinikanth has spoken about his friendship and experience with our Mega star Mammootty. Rajinikanth and Mammootty had worked together in the Tamil film named Thalapathi directed by Mani Ratnam.

Rajinikanth said that it was really a great experience for him to act with a legend like Mammootty. Even though two of them had met before in many functions and meetings, it was Mani Ratnam’s Thalapathi had given Rajini the opportunity to work with Mammootty and helped him to know him more personally. They had been in the sets of Thalapathi together for almost 43 days and that paved way for the beginning of a great friendship between them.

Rajinikanth said that he had a lot of great memories with Mammootty. He has been a great fan of Mammootty since he saw Mammootty’s performance in the film New Delhi. He has been attracted by Mammootty’s personality and manners and he said he knows that to portray the character in Dalapathay named ‘Deva’, it had to be an artist with the caliber of Mammootty should be there.

He said that he can never forget one scene in that in which  Deva (character played by Mammooty) coming towards his right hand Surya (character played by Rajinikanth) and then remove the shawl which covered his body and tells Surya that “itha paaru..nalla paru”(see this..see this very clearly). That scene was made awesome by the superb acting of Mammootty and Rajini says that he was really astonished to see the power of Mammootty’s acting.

There are many scenes in that film which is marked by the depth of Mammootty’s performance which Rajinikanth keeps close to his heart. He said that his wife Latha also a great fan of Mammootty and she always talks about his personality and behavior. Rajini said that he cannot forget those days in which they worked together.

Saaradhi Review

0

Saaradhi is the latest Malayalam film that hit the screens today. As it is a rather low profile movie we have to say that it has not raised much expectation among the audience. There is no big stars, big director or a big banner to boast of. That was the main reason why it came as a low profile movie. But people have hope on this film as its trailer is well received by the online viewers.

Saaradhi is the directorial debut of Gopalan Manoj and it is written by Rajesh K Raman. Gopi Sundar has given the music and background scoring for the film. The film is produced by Sreekumar K D under the banner of Movie Nest Creations. The film have a promising cast list including Sunny Wayne, Nedumudi Venu, Sreenivasan, Vinutha Lal, Madhupal,Sunil Sugatha, Baiju etc.

The film is a road thriller which tells the story of an ambulance driver named Christy who had to go for a long journey to deliver a dead body and on the way he had to face something very unusual. The he had to save himself and also keep that dead body safe from some people who has been plotting a criminal political agenda in a rather cruel manner. The film is going forward as a thriller and the director Gopalan Manoj as a first time director had done a good job to take the audience forward with the story. The script was a bit loose at some parts but they managed to hold together till the end and tried well to give a good end to the conflict. Gopi sundar’s background scoring was good and it helped to maintain the momentum as well as the atmosphere of the story.

Sunny Wayne has done a very commendable job as Christy and Sreenivasan was as usual delivered a solid performance. Nedumudi Venu has also given a memorable performance even though he did not had many scenes in it. The item song in the beginning of the story was a bit of unwanted one and it was really looked ugly as we consider the film as a whole. Anyway it is a decent entertainer which will not disappoint you. You can watch it with family and it is a good one for the lovers of thriller films.

Aadu Review

0

Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyaanu, one of the much awaited film from last year from the day it began its filming. That is for two reasons. One is for the special title and theme of the film in which a she-goat is playing the title character (heroine of the film, as the crew says) and second one is that it is a directorial debut of Midhun Manuel Thomas who showed promise as a writer through his very first film which released last year. It was one of the hits in 2014 named Om Shanti Oshana and the film also was the first step of a young man as a director whose name is Jude Antony Joseph.

In That film Midhun manuvel Thomas told the story in a unique manner and that too a love story. So it is very natural to have high hopes and expectation when the one who wrote such a good film turns director with really a fresh theme. Jayasurya played the lead male role in Aadu and the film also got a number of artists such as Dharamajan Bolgatti, Vinayakan, Vijay Babu, Sandra Thomas, Renji Panikker, Saiju Kuruppu, Chemban Vinod, Indrans, Aju Varghese(guest appearance), Sunny Wayne (guest appearance), Srinda Ashab (guest appearance) to boast of. Shan Rahman composed the music for the film.

And the film got released on February 6, 2015 after much waiting. But it turns out to be a disaster for the spectators. Apart from the title there is nothing in the film to enjoy really. The standard of comedy in the film is one of the poorest in last 2-3 years in Mollywood. The story focuses on the problems Shaji Pappan (Jayasurya) had to encounter when he tried to dispose a she-goat named pinky when he got that animal as a first prize in tug-of-war competition. Some other people come into the story with some political issues and some others in search of a herb named ‘Neela Koduveli’.

In fact the story is moving forward without any direction and wanders here and there without even a purpose. No characters in the film have complete identity and they are just like blabbering what comes to their mind. Music of the film is poor and the background scoring is horrible to say the least. When it comes to the performance we have to say that it was pathetic from all of them. Even jayasurya was not up to the mark as he had nothing to do in the film rather than chewing pan masala and going down unconscious now and then.

Even the goat does not have anything to do in the film quite opposite to the pre-release claim of the crew of the film. On the whole we cannot even find a single positive point in the film and recommend all of you to stay away from theaters running “Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyaanu”. It will do real good to your valuable money, time and even your health.

Director : Midhun Manuel Thomas

Cast : Jayasurya, Vijay Babu, Shrinda Ashab
