Renjith, the film’s total worldwide gross stands at a whopping ₹190+ crores, and it is now racing towards the elite ₹200 crore club, which only Empuraan (₹265 cr) and Manjummel Boys (₹241 cr) have achieved so far.

With Thudarum, Mohanlal has now delivered a record 11 Industry Hits, the most by any actor in Malayalam cinema. Even more impressively, he has become the first Indian actor ever to deliver Industry Hits across five consecutive decades — a feat unmatched in Indian cinema. Actor Unni Mukundan is set to don the director’s hat for the very first time with a grand-scale superhero film, produced by Sree Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. The screenplay is penned by acclaimed filmmaker and writer Midhun Manuel Thomas, while the story is conceptualized by Unni Mukundan himself, who will also play the lead role.

The collaboration between Sree Gokulam Movies, Unni Mukundan, and Midhun Manuel Thomas was officially announced recently. The film will be co-produced by V C Praveen and Baiju Gopalan, with Krishnamoorthy serving as the executive producer.

Sharing his excitement on social media, Unni wrote:

The film is reportedly being developed on a massive budget and a grand cinematic canvas. It is set to be a high-concept fantasy superhero entertainer, with pre-production already underway. Principal photography is expected to commence next year.
