As announced recently, the makers of ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ have released a new song video online. The song titled ‘Nethu’ features the lead pair, Dhanush and Aishwarya Lekshmi, in it. Dhanush has also penned the lyrics and sung the track. It is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.

‘Jagame Thandhiram’, written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, promises to be an action-packed gangster flick. Dhanush plays Suruli, a small-time thug based in Madurai who later becomes a gangster in London. Aishwarya Lekshmi and ‘Game Over’ fame Sanchana Natarajan will be seen as the two female leads. This is Aishwarya Lekshmi’s second Tamil film after ‘Action’. Most of her portions in it are set in London.

The cast also includes Malayali actor Joju George, ‘Madras’ fame Kalaiyarasan and Hollywood actor James Cosmo, who has starred in films like ‘Braveheart’, ‘Troy’ and the popular TV series ‘Game of Thrones’.

‘Jagame Thandhiram’ is scheduled for a direct Netflix release on June 18.

Viswasanthi Foundation executes Rs 1.5 crore project in the fight against pandemic

The second wave of pandemic is having a deadly impact all across India as thousands of casualties are being reported for the last few days. At this crucial juncture, several private organizations and influential people from various fields are coming forward to help the government.

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s Viswasanthi Foundation is arranging critical infrastructure support to the healthcare system. In association with EY Global Delivery Services Careers and UST, Viswasanthi Foundation is executing this 1.5 crore project.

Today, on the occasion of his 61st birthday, Mohanlal announced the Foundation’s plans through his social media handle. He has written,

Kerala and other parts of India are reeling under the devastating second wave of Covid-19, ViswaSanthi Foundation has stepped forward to arrange critical infrastructure support to the healthcare system fighting the pandemic.

The Foundation has provided 3-fold support – 200+ beds with oxygen support, 10 ICU beds with ventilator systems as well as portable X-ray machines – to various hospitals in Kerala. Viswasanthi is also providing support for the installation of Oxygen Pipeline to two wards and Triage ward of Kalamassery Medical College.

The beneficiaries of this support include hospitals in the Government, Co-operative, and private sector too. All these hospitals are empaneled under the KASP (Karunya Arogya Suraksha Padhathi) healthcare scheme of Kerala Government.

Viswasanthi Foundation is executing this 1.5 crore project in association with EY GDS and UST. My sincere thanks to EY Global Delivery Services Careers, UST, and all associated hospitals for their cooperation with Viswasanthi in this joint fight against Covid-19.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming film ‘Vikram’ starring Kamal Haasan is currently in the pre-production stage. The makers are busy finalizing the cast and crew. Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil is already confirmed in the cast. Vijay Sethupathi and ‘Angamaly Diaries’ are also said to be in talks to essay important roles.

On the technical front, Lokesh had initially retained the same core technical team from his previous film ‘Master’. Anirudh is composing the music and camera was supposed to be cranked by Sathyan Sooryan. The latter who has also worked with Lokesh in ‘Kaithi’, had even shot the teaser of ‘Vikram’.

However, it is now being reported that the makers are planning to rope in Girish Gangadharan as the DOP as Sathyan is busy with some other projects. Girish is well known for his works in Malayalam cinema. He recently won the National award for his spectacular work in ‘Jallikattu’. He made his Tamil debut in 2018 with the Vijay starrer ‘Sarkar’.

An official announcement with complete details regarding the cast and crew of ‘Vikram’ is expected to be made soon.

As superstar Mohanlal celebrates his birthday today, the makers of ‘Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham’ have released a new lyric video online. The track titled ‘Chembinte Chelulla’ is composed, programmed and arranged by Ronnie Raphael. Vishnuraj has lent his vocals for the song. Interestingly, director Priyadarshan himself has penned the song lyrics.

‘Marakkar’ is an action-epic featuring Mohanlal as Kunjali Marakkar IV, who is regarded as India’s first naval chieftain. The film is made on lavish budget with a huge star cast.
