Thalapathy 65: Shine Tom Chacko also part of Vijay’s next

Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko is set to make his Tamil debut with Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Tentatively titled as Thalapathy ’65’, the film is produced by Sun Pictures. Over the last few years, Shine has been showing remarkable growth as an acto. Some of his recent films like ‘Ishq’, ‘Unda’ and ‘Love’ had grabbed the attention of non-Malayali cinephiles. This must have paved way for his Tamil entry. Shine is the second Malayali actor to be part of ‘Thalapathy 65’. Aparna Das, noted for her roles in ‘Njan Prakashan’ and ‘Manoharam’, is also playing an important role in the film.

‘Thalapathy 65’ has Pooja Hegde of ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo’ fame as the female lead. It is touted to be a big-budget action thriller in which Vijay plays a con-agent. Major portions of the film has been planned to be shot abroad. On the technical front, the film has Anirudh Ravichander as the music director and cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa. Though its shoot had begun recently in Georgia, the makers had to stop works and return back home due to the second wave of pandemic.

Thalapathy 66: Vijay and Vamshi Paidipally to do a pan-Indian film?

Thalapathy 66: Vijay and Vamshi Paidipally to do a pan-Indian film?

Speculations are rife that Thalapathy Vijay is set to team up with Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally for a big-budget project. Buzz is that Vamshi has narrated a script to Vijay, which the actor liked. This project, planned as a pan-Indian one, might be bankrolled by Dil Raju of Sri Venkateswara Creations. An official confirmation is awaited in this regard.

Vamshi Paidipally is well known for helming mainstream films like ‘Brindavanam’, ‘Yevadu’ and ‘Oopiri’ (‘Thozha’, in Tamil). His last film ‘Maharshi’ starring Mahesh Babu was a huge commercial success. The film also won the National award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.

In the last few years, Vijay has considerably expanded his popularity outside Tamil Nadu. If this speculated project with Vamshi materializes, it will be a huge booster for his stardom. The star’s next, tentatively titled as ‘Thalapathy 65’, is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Shoot for the same was progressing in Georgia when the second wave of pandemic worsened. The team will be hoping to resume shoot once the situation gets better.
