Fitness trainer Nirmal Nair heaps praise on Suriya’s dedication and hardwork

Suriya is known to be one of the most fittest actors in South Indian cinema. Ever since sporting a chiselled six pack in ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, the actor has maintained his physique as such and even after a decade, he still looks the same. For his last release, ‘Soorarai Pottru’, Suriya appeared in different looks as the film traverses multiple timelines. The extra efforts he took for the film was unanimously appreciated.

Suriya’s fitness trainer Nirmal Nair had penned a note in his social media handle about how dedicated and focussed the star has been right through this journey. Due to the pandemic, the two haven’t met for a long time but they get the training done online.

Nirmal’s post reads,

It has been a tough time for everyone of us but what keeps us going is the passion for success even during such time. I haven’t met Suriya sir personally for a pretty long time but we made sure that we are connected throughout this period and we stay dedicated towards our goal of staying fit and healthy.

Training Suriya sir online was never a option for me but circumstances made me do that. What motivated me the most during this period was seeing how focused and disciplined Suriya sir is always.

He is a role model to me and to many I know in soo many ways and I feel blessed that I have the opportunity to work with him everyday.

I believe the price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.

Thanks @actorsuriya sir for being a true role model??

Drishyam 2 sold to Amazon Prime to release Marakkar in theatres: Antony Perumbavoor

On New Year’s Day, the makers of ‘Drishyam 2’ had released the teaser online. Along with that, they also made a surprise announcement regarding the film premiering in Amazon Prime Video. This kick-started a row as theatre owners, distributors and several other industry insiders expressed their displeasure against the direct OTT release of such a huge film.

Producer Antony Perumbavoor has clarified that since ‘Marakkar: Arabikadlinte Simham’ release was getting indefinitely pushed, he had no other option but to sell ‘Drishyam 2’ to Amazon Prime. According to him, ‘Drishyam 2’ was was sold to release ‘Marakkar’ in theatres.

‘Marakkar’ was originally supposed to release in March last year just days before the nationwide lockdown was announced. The 8-month long delay has caused a huge liability for the makers, which forced them to sell ‘Drishyam 2’. Though they got solid offers for ‘Marakkar’ streaming rights from leading OTTs, the makers decided not to sell it as they firmly believe it is a big-scale film that needs to be experienced in theatres.

While ‘Drishyam 2’ release date has not yet been announced, ‘Marakkar’ will be getting a grand theatrical release on March 26.
