After NGK, Suriya to play a politician once again!

Buzz is that Suriya is set to team up with director Pandiraj. Production giant Sun Pictures will most be likely to be backing the project. Pandiraj, a National award winner, is known for helming hit films like ‘Pasanga’, ‘Kadaikutty Singam’ and ‘Namma Veettu Pillai’. Suriya had earlier collaborated with the director in ‘Pasanga 2’, in which he did an extended cameo role.

If reports are to be believed, Suriya will be seen playing a politician’s role in Pandiraj’s new film. Last year, the actor had played a grey-shaded politician’s role in the Selvaraghavan directorial ‘NGK’. Unlike ‘NGK’, which was an abstract attempt, Pandiraj’s film is expected to be a proper commercial entertainer.

Suriya was supposed to do a film with director Hari next but that project seems to have been dropped as the star was not pleased with the script. Hari has instead decided to go ahead with a new project with his brother-in-law Arun Vijay in the lead.

Suriya meanwhile is waiting for the release of his ambitious film ‘Soorarai Pottru’. It is scheduled to have its world premier in Amazon Prime on October 30.
