Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor wishes luck to Forensic team!

We are just a day away from the release of the much-awaited thriller film ‘Forensic’. Along with the side release in Kerala, it is also simultaneously releasing in Rest of India (RoI) and the Middle East regions. Prior to release, Bollywood star Arjun Kapoor has wished luck to team ‘Forensic’. He shared a poster of the film in his Instagram handle and tagged lead actors, Mamta Mohandas and Tovino Thomas.

‘Forensic’ is written and directed by Anas Khan and Akhil Paul. Tovino Thomas plays the lead role of a medico legal advisor in the film. Mamta Mohandas essays the character of an IPS officer named Rithika Xavier IPS. ‘Bigil’ fame Reba Monica John is also there in an major role. Saiju Kurup, Anwar Shereef, ‘Lilli’ fame Dhanesh Anand, Renji Panicker, Prathap Pothen, Giju John, Anil Murali and many others are part of the supporting cast

The narrative revolves around a series of killings. Tovino’s character Samuel John Kaattookaran works in the Kerala police’s forensic science lab when he is entrusted with solving the serial killing case. It is probably the first time that a full length film related to forensic science is being made in Malayalam, so expectations are on the higher side.

‘Forensic’ is being bankrolled by Navis Xaviour and Siju Mathew under the banner of Juvis Productions and Raju Malliath’s Ragam Movies.-

Dulquer Salmaan reveals that he was offered a transgender role similar to that of Vijay Sethupathi in Super Deluxe

In his 8-year-old career in which he worked in multiple languages, Dulquer Salmaan has often dared to experiment. Be it the freespirited vagabond in ‘Charile’ or KTN Kottoor in ‘Njaan’ or the four contrasting characters in ‘Solo’ or Gemini Ganesan in ‘Mahanati’, Dulquer has always shown interest in trying something new. However, there is something that he is not sure he can pull off — playing a transgender.

In a recent interview, while talking about Vijay Sethupathi’s stunner of a performance as a transwoman in ‘Super Deluxe’, Dulquer himself revealed that he was once offered a similar role but he denied it as he was not very sure if he could do it convincing.

He is quoted saying, “I once got offered a transgender role, but I was not sure. There are some things you think as an actor you might not be able to do l convincingly. I think I should explore my feminine side little more before doing something like that.”

Dulquer is currently basking in the success of his maiden production ‘Varane Avashyamund’, that stars him along with Shobana, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Suresh Gopi. His Tamil film ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal’ is also gearing up for release this Friday.

Release date announced for Tovono’s Kilometers and Kilometers

Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Kilometers and Kilometers’ has been in the making for over two years. The film was supposed to hit screens much earlier but got delayed multiple times due to various reasons. Finally, the makers have announced that the film will be releasing on March 12. Last day, a motion poster was shared to announce the release date.

‘Kilometers and Kilometers’ is written and directed by Jeo Baby of ‘2 Penkuttikal’ fame. The film is conceived as a travel based fun entertainer. According to Tovino, it is a proper commercial entertainer backed by strong content. The star is also turning a producer with this film as he is backing the project along with Ramshi Ahamed, Anto Joseph, and Sinu Sidharth.

‘Kilometers and Kilometers’ has a foreign actress named India Jarvis as the female lead. Tovino plays a normal Malayali youngster. The story evolves as the two set out on a journey covering various places across India. ‘Oru Adaar Love’ fame Sinu Sidharth has cranked the camera. Rahman Mohammed Ali and Prejish Praksh are jointly handling the edits and Sooraj S Kurup is composing the songs. Sushin Shyam is in charge of the background score.

As reported earlier, Sreenath Bhasi and Balu Varghese are coming together as leads for the first time for a film titled ‘Sumesh & Ramesh’. Its teaser was released last day through Mammootty’s official social media handle. From the teaser, we make out that Sreenath Bhasi and Balu play siblings. Praveena and Salim Kumar will be seen as their parents. It looks like a slice-of-life fun entertainer revolving around the events that occur within the family.

SanoopThykoodam, one of the co-writers of the Omar Lulu film ‘Chunkzz’, is making his directorial debut with ‘Sumesh & Ramesh’. He has jointly scripted the film with Joseph Vijeesh, who is also one of the writers of ‘Chunkzz’. On the technical side, Alby is handling the camera and Ayoob Khan is the editor. The talented duo of Yakzan Gary Periera and Neha Nair are in charge of the music department.

‘Sumesh & Ramesh’ is produced by Fareed Khan under the banner of White Sands Media House. KL 7 Entertainments is also involved in the film’s production. Release date is expected to be announced shortly..

Watch: Vaanku trailer looks promising!

The trailer of upcoming Malayalam film ‘Vaanku’ was released online last day through Mohanlal’s official social media handle. Veteran filmmaker VK Prakash’s daughter Kavya Prakash is making her directorial debut with this film. It is adapted from a popular short story of the same name written by Unni R. The film has ‘Thanneermathan Dhinangal’ fame Anaswara Rajan in the lead role.

Shabna Muhammed has adapted Unni R’s story to a screenplay format. It is basically about a college-going girl’s desire to become a muezzin like her father and call the azan against the will of the religious fundamentalists. Vineeth plays Anaswara’s father in the film. Other known faces in the cast include Major Ravi, Srikanth Murali, ‘Guppy’ fame Nandana Varma, Gopika Ramesh, Meenakshi Unnikrishnan, Joy Mathew, Thesni Khan, Prakash Bare, Shrikanth Murali and Sarasa Balussery.

Sirajudheen K P and Shabeer Path Banner are producing the film. Major Ravi’s son Arjun Ravi is the cinematographer and music department is handled by Ouseppachan. 7J Films and Shimoga Creations are presenting the film in association with Trends Ad Filmmakers Pvt Ltd.

As reported by us earlier, Antony Varghese is starring in a football based film titled ‘Aanaparambile World Cup’. The film is being written and directed by debutant Nikhil Premraj. Faizal Latheef and Stanley C S are jointy producing it under the banner of Achappu Movie Magic and Mass Media Productions.

The first look poster was unveiled at the All India Sevens Football tournament in Kondotty. Former Indian footballer IM Vijayan and Antony Varghese were present at the venue to launch the first look poster.

Yelo Pullelo: Anirudh sings a rocking number in Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithaal

Dulquer Salmaan’s Tamil film ‘Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithaal’ (KKKA) is hitting screens this coming Friday (February 28). With just two days left for release, the makers have shared a new song online. Kollywood’s top composer Anirudh Ravichander has sung the track. Lyrics is penned by Mani Amudhavan. Popular music band Masala Coffee has composed the song.

‘KKKA’ is written and directed by debutant Desingh Periyasamy. It is said to be a rom-com that also has a parallel thriller track. The film has Dulquer Salmaan playing the role of a happy-go-lucky IT professional named Siddharth aka Sid. Ritu Varma of ‘Pelli Choopulu’ fame is paired opposite him. Television host Rakshan plays Dulquer’s close friend and Niranjani Ahathian essays the part of his girlfriend. Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon plays a negative shaded role.

On the technical front, the film has K M Bhaskaran as the cinematographer and Praveen Anthony as the editor. The band Masala Coffee has composed the songs and Harshavardhan Rameshwar handles the background score. Viacom 18 Studios is presenting the film in association with Anto Joseph Film Company.

As we already know, superstar Rajinikanth is currently working on his new film ‘Annaathe’ with director Siva. The film has a star-studded cast, which includes four female leads — Keerthy Suresh, Meena, Khushbu and Nayanthara. Prakash Raj, Sathish, Vela Ramamoorthy, Soori and many others form the supporting cast.

Actor Bala, noted for his roles in many Tamil and Malayalam films, is also part of ‘Annaththe’. He confirmed starring in the film in a very recent interview. Not many know that Bala is the younger brother of director Siva. He was also part of Siva’s superhit film ‘Veeram’, in which he played one of Ajith’s brothers.

Scripted by director Siva himself, ‘Annatthe’ is said to be a rural-based mass entertainer with high importance to family emotions. Reports suggest that it is the story of an endearing brother-sister relationship. Rajinikanth and Keerthy Suresh will be seen as siblings in the film. Nayanthara will be seen as the superstar’s pair.
