Dileep-Siddique starrer Shubharathri opens to positive reviews!

‘Shubharathri’, which hit screens on July 6, has opened to positive response from the audience. The movie starring Dileep and Siddique in the lead roles is written and directed by Vyasan KP. Abraham Mathew of Abaam Movies has produced the movie. Critics and commoners alike have take a liking to the movie.

‘Shubharathri’ is centered around Mohammed (Siddique), a do-gooder Muslim man who is getting ready for Hajj pilgrimage. The day before his journey, he encounters an unexpected situation through which Krishnan (Dileep) comes into his life. The movie, as publicised by the makers, is based on real life events. It basically sends out a message about religious harmony and the need for compassion among humans.

Anu Sithara is paired with Dileep in the movie, while Shanthi Krishna plays Siddique’s wife. Sheelu Abraham plays a doctor’s role in the movie. All the female actors make an impression. Asha Sarath, Nadirshah, Indrans, Nedumudi Venu, Sai Kumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Prashanth Alexander, Swasika, Ashokan, Hareesh Peradi, Saiju Kurup, Sudhi Koppa, Manikandan Achari, Vijay Babu, KPAC Lalitha and Thesni Khan are also part of the cast.

The actress made her debut in 2013 by doing small roles and eventually got a break with ‘Happy Wedding’. Now one more member from her family is set to enter the world of movies.

Anu Sithara’s younger sister Anu Sonara is making her acting debut with the upcoming movie ‘Kshanam’, directed by Suresh Unnithan. Lal is playing the lead role in the movie, which is said to be a horror thriller. As per reports, Anu Sonara plays a mysterious character in the film. Shoot for the movie is currently progressing.

Dileep to star in Vineeth Kumar’s next directorial

Dileep is having multiple projects lined up for next two years. He has committed for films, both with seniors and new gen filmmakers. As per latest reports, he has signed for a new film with actor-turned-filmmaker Vineeth Kumar. Shoot for the same will start only by next year. More details are expected to be officially announced shortly.

Vineeth Kumar has previously helmed a film titled ‘Ayal Njanalla’. Ranjith had scripted that movie, which had Fahadh Faasil in the lead. It has been four years since that film and it will be interesting to see collaborate with a big star like Dileep.

Dileep is currently shooting for ‘Jack Daniel’, directed by Jayasurya. The actor still has a few portions left to be completed for his ambitious 3D film ‘Professor Dinkan’. ‘Parakkum Pappan’ with debutant Viyan Vishnu and ‘Pickpocket’ with P Balachandra Kumar are his other confirmed projects. Dileep has also committed for films with directors Joshiy, Priyadarshan and Nadirshah.

Confirmed: Ramayana’s trilingual trilogy set to be made!

Back in 2017, we had reported about Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind and Namit Malhotra teaming up to make a mega movie spectacle based on the Indian epic, Ramayana. When there were no updates regarding the same for almost two years, it was presumed to be dropped. However, it is now being reported that the project is very much on. The retelling of the mythological epic has been planned to be made in three parts with ‘Dangal’ fame Nitesh Tiwari and ‘Mom’ fame Ravi Udyawar will be jointly directing it.

India’s leading trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared a photo of the makers and has written,.

BIGGG NEWS… Producers Allu Aravind, Madhu Mantena and Namit Malhotra [Prime Focus] to make #Ramayana for the big screen… Nitesh Tiwari [#Dangal] and Ravi Udyawar [#Mom] will direct the three-part series… Will be shot in 3D and released in #Hindi, #Tamil and #Telugu.

The casting is not finalized yet… Actors from various film industries will be cast in the three-part film… The makers are targeting PAN India as well as global audience… The first part will release in 2021.

According to reports, ‘Ramayana’ trilogy is being planned on a whopping Rs 500 crores. It is expected to be made in 3D format with leading actors from across all Indian languages also part of the cast. Sridhar Raghavan is currently working on the screenplay and the makers are also looking into other technicalities.

The makers of Prabhas’ ‘Saaho’ have released the first single from the movie online. It is titled as ‘Psycho Saiyaan’ in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam versions, and ‘Kadhal Psycho’ in Tamil. It is a party mood song featuring Prabhas and the female lead Shraddha Kapoor. The Malayalam version of the song has been rendered by Dhvani Bhanushali, Yazin Nizar and Tanishk Bagchi. Bagchi has also composed the track.

‘Saaho’ directed by Sujeeth is an action packed thriller made on an international scale. The movie has actors from various Indian languages as part of its cast. Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Chunky Pandey, Mandira Bedi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Arun Vijay, Lal and Tinnu Anand are playing prominent roles.

Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati are jointly producing ‘Saaho’ under the banner of UV Creations. The movie is being made as a trilingual in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages. It is scheduled to storm screens worldwide on August 15.

Sathyam Paranja Vishwasikuvo: Samvritha Sunil’s comeback film from this Friday!

Samvritha was one of the top heroines in Malayalam film industry before she got married in 2012. The actress, who has been away from films post her marriage, is making her comeback with ‘Sathyam Paranja Vishwasikuvo’. The movie directed by Prajith has her playing the role of Biju Menon’s wife. It is all set for release this Friday (July 12).

‘Sathyam Paranja Vishwasikuvo’ is said to be a realistic family drama. It is scripted by National award winner Sajeev Pazhoor, who had earlier penned the widely acclaimed ‘Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum’ (TD). Biju Menon plays the role of a mason in the movie. According to Samvrutha, hers is a substantial role with good scope for performance and that inspired her to take up the movie.

‘Sathyam Paranja Vishwasikuvo’ also stars Alencier Ley Lopez, Sudhi Koppa, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Saiju Kurup, Srikanth Murali, Bhagath Manuel, Sreelekshmi, Sruthy Jayan and many others are also part of the supporting cast.
Cinematographer Shehnad Jalal, veteran editor Ranjan Abraham and music directors Shaan Rahman and Bijibal (background score) form the movie’s core technical crew.

Rama Devi of Green TV Entertainer is producing it jointly with Sandip Senan and Anish M Thomas of Urvasi Pictures.

Recently, veteran director Sathyan Anthikad had revealed that his next film will be with megastar Mammootty. Iqbal Kuttipuram, who has some penned superhit films like ‘Niram’, ‘Arabikatha’, ‘4 The People’ and ‘Diamond Necklace’, is scripting this upcoming film as well. The project is currently in the initial stages and the makers are planning to start shooting by the end of this year.

Sathyan Anthikad and Mammootty, had earlier worked together in films like ‘Sreedharante Onnaam Thirumurivu’, ‘Artham’ and ‘Kalikkalam’ to name a few. ‘Oral Mathram’, which got released in the year 1997, was their last film together. It will be interesting to see them collaborate after such a long gap of two decades.

Likewise, Sathyan Anthikad and Iqbal Kuttippuram had collaborated previously for ‘Oru Indian Pranayakatha’ and ‘Jomonte Suvisheshangal’. Both the films were successful at the box office. So they will be hoping to continue their good form this time around as well.
