Check out Kakshi Amminippilla actress Shibla’s stunning physical transformation

Asif Ali starrer ‘Kakshi Amminippilla’ is getting ready to hit screens on June 28, Friday. E4 Entertainments is releasing the movie in Kerala.The movie directed by debutant Dinjith Ayyathan has Asif playing the role of an advocate for the first time in his career. Scripted by Sanilesh Shivan, the movie is basically a court-room drama.

It is centred around the case of newly wed couple, Shajith Kumar Amminippilla and wife Kanthi Sivadasan. While Ahmed Siddique plays the titular role of Amminippilla, Fara Shibla plays the latter’s role. Asif Ali plays the lead role of advocate Pradeepan Manjodi, a political aspirant, who is initially reluctant but later takes up the divorce case.

It is not often that you see female actors going the extra yard and putting in additional efforts to meet the demands of a character. However, Fara Shibla has chose the road less taken as she put on around 20 kilos for playing the character of Kanthi Sivadasan. In a recent video released by the makers, the actress can be seen talking about her journey from 68 kgs to 85 kgs and later to 63 kgs post the film’s completion.

Previously in Bollywood and Tollywood industries, actors like Aamir Khan, Bhumi Padnekar and Anushka Shetty have gone through such stunning transformations. This is probably the first time in Malayalam that such a female actor, that too a debutante, has gone through such an amazing makeover.

Massive projects lines up for Mohanlal; Empuraan to start rolling after Barroz

The official announcement of the second part of ‘Lucifer’ was made only recently. The movie titled as ‘Empuraan’ will have Prithviraj once again donning the director’s hat while Mohanlal plays the lead role. Murali Gopy is scripting the movie that will be producing by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. The makers have planned to start shooting by the second half of 2020.

Prior to that, Mohanlal will be finishing the works of his other pending commitments. He is currently shooting for ‘Ittymaani Made In China’, directed by debutant duo Jibi and Joju. Shoot for the movie is nearing completion after which he will be joining the sets of Siddique directorial ‘Big Brother’.

In October, Mohanlal will start works on his ambitious directorial debut ‘Barroz’. The fantasy flick that has script penned by Jijo Punnoose of ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’ fame is set to be made entirely in 3D format. It is again produced by the superstar’s own banner Aashiravd Cinemas.

Next year, along with ‘Empuraan’, Mohanlal also has one more biggie lined up. As per trustworthy reports, he has committed for a film titled ‘Kaliyugam’ with Santosh Sivan. Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movies will be producing this mega budget film that is touted to be a period drama.

Priyadarshan’s big scale film ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’, which has Mohanlal playing the titular role is currently in the post-production phase. The movie is expected to hit screens by the end of this year or early 2020.

The much awaited update regarding when the title and first look of Vijay’s new film (Thalapathy 63) will be out was made last day. The makers will be revealing the title and poster tomorrow (June 21) at 6 PM. A second look poster will be unveiled exactly at 12 AM on June 22, which happens to be Vijay’s birthday. Fans are highly excited about the same as is evident from the buzz in social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.

Thalapathy 63, which marks Vijay’s third time collaboration with director Atlee, is a sports based flick centred around woman’s football. Vijay plays a player-turned-coach in the movie. Nayanthara is paired with him. Induja, Varsha Bollamma and Reba Monica John are playing prominent roles as players of his football team. Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Yogi Babu, Vivek, Daniel Balaji, Anand Raj and many others are also part of the supporting cast.

As per the makers, the movie will be a mass commercial tale that touches upon football, politics in sports, friendship and emotions. AR Rahman has composed music for the movie and cinematography is by ‘Mersal’ fame GK Vishnu. AGS Entertainment is producing the movie, which is scheduled for a grand Diwali release in October.

We had recently reported that director Aashiq Abu’s next after ‘Virus’ will have Soubin Shahir in the lead. Unni R is scripting the movie, which according to latest reports deals with a fantasy subject. Apparently, it is a fascinating story of a ‘gandharvan’ who lands in Earth. Soubin will be essaying the gandharvan’s role. ‘Gandharva’ is a mythological creature in Hinduism and Buddhism. It is a name used for distinct heavenly beings.

It must be remembered that legendary filmmaker Padmarajan had helmed a similar fantasy film titled ‘Njan Gandharvan’ back in 1991. The film which was about a girl and her passion for a celestial lover, who is invisible to others, is considered as a cult classic by Malayalam movie lovers.

Fantasy is a genre that has seldom been tried in Malayalam. Despite that, when a solid team like Aashiq Abu, Unni R and Soubin Shahir come together, expectations will be quite high. It is said that this upcoming film will steer clear of the usual stereotypes associated with the gandharva concept and instead shape up as a socially relevant one. Pallichattambi: Tovino Thomas’ new film announced

Earlier, there were reports about Tovino Thomas teaming up with ‘Queen’ director Dijo Jose Antony for a new film. Surprisingly, the formal announcement came just a while back through the actor’s official social media handle. Titled as ‘Pallichattambi’, the movie is scripted by S Suresh Babu and produced by Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movies.

Tovino is seen sporting a new look in the poster. Apparently, he plays a grey shaded role in the movie, which comes with the tagline ‘An Epic of a Crusader’. His Facebook post reads,

A dream project that I’m sure will warm all your hearts. I am delighted to be a part of this big project helmed by the director Dijo Jose Antony of Queen fame, written by Ssuresh Babu, music by Jakes Bejoy & to be associating with the biggest banner in Mollywood, Sree Gokulam Movies and Gokulam Gopalan Sir. ‘Pallichattambi’ has some promising names in the technical side. Jakes Bejoy, who composed the sensational songs in ‘Queen’ has been retained as the music director for Dijo’s new film as well. Sujith Sarang will be cranking the camera and edits will be done by his brother Sreejith Sarang. The makers have planned to start shooting from next year. Stay tuned for more updates.

Mammootty starrer ‘Unda’ continues to do well in the box office thanks to the highly positive word of mouth. Hitting screens on June 14, the movie opened to largely encouraging reviews from both the critics and common audience. The movie is finding admirers for its strong politics and the various issues that are brought to light without ever hindering the flow of the narrative. Unlike a regular potboiler, it is a politically layered film that touches upon multiple issues which appeals to a wider audience.

Director Ranjith Sankar in his Facebook post has written that ‘Unda’ is the best film of the year so far. Along with congratulating the team, the director also praised Mammootty for taking up movies like ‘Unda’ and ‘Peranbu’. His post reads,

‘Unda’ is directed by Khalidh Rahman and scripted by Harshad. It tells the story of a battalion of policemen from Kerala who are posted in Chhattisgarh on election duty. Mammootty plays the lead role of an ordinary policeman. Shine Tom Chacko, Lukman, Arjun Ashokan, Gokulan, Jacob Gregory, Rony David, Abhiram, Omkar Das Manikpuri, Bhagwan Tiwari and Ranjith play other major roles.

Asif Ali to play a 19-year-old in Kunjeldho

Recently on Eid day, it was announced that actor Asif Ali will ne teaming up with Mathukutty for a new movie titled ‘Kunjeldho’. The movie which marks the latter’s directorial debut is produced jointly by Suvin K Varkey and Prashobh Krishna of Little Big Films. Vineeth Sreenivasan is also part of the team as the creative director.

As per reports, ‘Kunjeldho’ is a campus based flick and it will have Asif Ali playing a 19-year-old. Apparently, this is the reason why Dulquer Salmaan, who was earlier supposed to act in the film, opted out. It seems like Dulquer was not confident enough that he can convincingly pull off a teenager’s role. Mathukutty has also scripted the movie, which according to our sources is a fun flick with a campus backdrop. Swaroop Philip will be cranking the camera and music will be handled by Shaan Rahman. Shoot is expected to commence shortly.

Meanwhile, Asif Ali is currently going through a purple patch of sorts as his last few releases, ‘Vijay Superum Pournamiyum’, ‘Uyare’ and ‘Virus’ have all turned out successful. Geetu Mohandas is all praise for Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Jallikattu

Maverick filmmaker Lijo Jose Pelissery’s ‘Jallikattu’ is one of the most awaited Malayalam films of the year. The movie which is currently in the post-production phase is expected to hit screens shortly. Recently, Geetu Mohandas and Anurag Kashyap had a special screening of the movie and it seems like they were mighty impressed by Lijo’s work.

Geetu has shared a couple of photos from the screening in her official social media page. Along with that, she has also written,

Earlier, actor Indrajith Sukumaran had also said that ‘Jallikattu’ is an outstanding work. Lijo’s last two films – ‘Angamaly Diairies’ and ‘Ee Maa Yau’ got nationwide acclaim. So expectations are naturally on the higher side for ‘Jallikattu’. The movie starring Antony Varghese and Sabumon in major roles is based on S Hareesh’s short story ‘Maoist’. It discusses about the Maoist situation and a person’s right to freedom, from the point of view of two buffaloes.

According to Lijo, ‘Jallikkattu’ is a satire told with lot of humour. Taking the crux out of Hareesh’s short story, they have developed a screenplay which explores the beastly side of man. The director is of the opinion that it is an idea that hasn’t been explored much before in Malayalam.
