Here’s the teaser of Arya starrer Magamuni

The official teaser of Arya’s new film ‘Magamuni’ has just been released. The movie is written and directed by ‘Mounaguru’ fame Santha Kumar. Induja and Mahima Nambiar will be seen as the female leads. The movie has music composed by SS Thaman and cinematography by Arun Padmanaban. VJ Sabu Joseph is handling the edits.

Director Santha Kumar is making a comeback after eight long years. His debut film ‘Mounaguru’ starring Arulinithi in the lead was a surprise hit at the box office and went on to be remade in Hindi as ‘Akira’ with Sonkashi Sinha in the lead. Ace filmmaker AR Murugadoss helmed the Hindi version.

‘Magamuni’ also looks like a similar film. The highly promising teaser gives hints of a gripping action thriller with high scope of performances for all the lead actors. It has been ages since Arya has done a performance oriented film like this.

One of Kollywood’s leading producers KE Gnanavel Raja is producing this movie under the banner of Studio Green. Release date has not yet been announced.

Shoot for Mohanlal’s upcoming movie ‘Ittymaani Made In China’ is currently progressing. Debutant director duo Jibi and Joju are helming the movie, which is said to be an action comedy entertainer. The makers have announced that the first look poster will be out today evening at 6 PM.

‘Ittymaani Made In China’ has Mohanlal as Ittymani, a fun character based in Kunnamkulam. The actor is said to be speaking in a funny Thrissur dialect in the movie. It will be a refreshing change as it’s been a while since the actor has done a proper fun entertainer. The movie has Honey Rose as the female lead. Radikaa Sarath Kumar is also playing a major role in the movie.

Siddique, Vinu Mohan, Aju Varghese, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Kailas, Soubin Shahir, Salim Kumar, Sijoy Varghese, Hareesh Kanaran, Johny Antony, Nandu and Swasika are also part of the supporting cast. Shaji Kumar is the cinematographsr and Sooraj ES, the editor. Kailas Menon of ‘Theevandi’ fame has been signed as the music director

The movie is being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.

Suriya starrer NGK is one of the eagerly awaited movies in Tamil cinema this year. This Selvaraghavan directorial is touted to be a gripping political drama. Suriya plays the role of Nanda Gopala Kumaran, a small time politician who makes his way up to become an MLA. The movie promises to bring back the terrific actor, who has been in lackluster form of late. The teaser was highly intriguing and promised to showcase an unseen side of Suriya, the actor.

NGK has high expectations as Suriya is teaming up with Selvaraghavan for the first time. The director is well known for helming several cult films like ‘Polladhavan’, ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ and ‘Kadhal Kondein’.

Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh are the two female leads in the movie. Bala Singh, Mansoor Ali Khan, Ponvannan, Thalaivasal Vijay, Guru Somasundaram and Aruldoss are also part of the supporting cast. The movie is scheduled for a grand release on May 31.

Here’s the teaser of Biju Menon starrer ‘Sathyam Paranjaa Vishwasikuvo’

The teaser of Biju Menon starrer ‘Sathyam Paranjaa Vishwasikuvo’ has just been released. Actor Nivin Pauly shared the teaser though his social media handle. The movie is directed by G Prajith of ‘Oru Vadakkan Selfie’ fame. National award winner Sajeev Pazhoor, who penned the widely acclaimed ‘Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum’ (TD), has scripted this movie.

‘Sathyam Paranjaa Vishwasikuvo’ is said to be a family drama in which Biju Menon plays the role of a mason. Samvritha Sunil, who has been away from films post her marriage, is making her comeback with this movie. She will be seen as Biju Menon’s wife. Alencier Ley Lopez, Sudhi Koppa, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Saiju Kurup, Sreekanth Murali, Bhagath Manuel, Sreelekshmi and Sruthy Jayan are also part of the cast.

The movie’s technical crew comprises of cinematographer Shehnad Jalal, veteran editor Ranjan Abraham and music directors Shaan Rahman and Bijibal (background score). Rama Devi of Green TV Entertainer is producing the movie jointly with Sandip Senan and Aneesh M Thomas of Urvasi Pictures.

Last evening, the teaser of ‘Unda’ was released online through Mohanlal and Mammootty’s respective social media handles. The 1 minute long teaser has got great response from the viewers and is currently at the first position in the YouTube trending list. The movie directed by Khalidh Rahman is gearing up for an Eid release next month.

‘Unda’ is said to be an action-comedy thriller in which Mammootty plays the role of a police sub-inspector named Manikandan CP. He heads an eight-member team of police constables comprising of Shine Tom Chacko, Jacob Gregory, Rony David, Arjun Ashokan, Noushad Bombay, Gokulan, Abhiram and Lukman. The teaser gives a clear picture of what to expect from the movie. It looks like a completely realistic film without any superstar glorification or other commercial gimmicks.

The movie’s story revolves around a set of events that occur when this unit of policemen from Kerala reach the Maosit areas in Chhattisgarh for election duty. Director Khalid Rahman has penned the story and screenplay is by Harshad.Cinematographer Sajith Purushan, music director Prashanth Pillai and action choreographer Sham Kaushal are also part of the technical crew.

Barroz shoot to commence in October; Lucifer second part by next year

As we already know, Mohanlal is set to turn a director shortly. After four decades of acting, the superstar is turning a director with an ambitious 3D film. Titled as ‘Barroz’, the film is based on a mythical story set in the Portuguese backdrop. Jijo Punnoose, the visionary filmmaker who made India’s first 3D film ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’, has penned the story. The movie is being planned to go on floors by October.

Mohanlal is currently shooting for ‘Ittymaani Made in China’ after which he will be joining the sets of Siddique’s ‘Big Brother’. He has not allotted his dates for any other project after that so that he can concentrate entirely on this dream directorial debut of his. The movie is being planned to be made in 3D format on a massive scale with actors from Hollywood and other Indian languages.

‘Barroz Guardian Of D’ Gama’s Treasure’ is the story of Barroz, a mythical figure who was the guardian of Vasco da Gama’s valuable treasures for 400 years. Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas is producing this mega budget project. The makers are planning to shoot in exotic locations in Goa, Portugal and several other foreign countries. It will also be dubbed and released in all major Indian languages.

After the completion of ‘Barroz’, Mohanlal is expected to work on the second part of his blockbuster film ‘Lucifer’. Writer Murali Gopy and director Prithviraj are already working on it and we can expect an official announcement soon. Since both Prithviraj and Mohanlal are busy with other commitments, ‘Lucifer 2’ is most likely to start rolling only by the second half of next year.

There is a strong buzz in Kollywood medias that Vijay’s next after the ongoing Atlee film will be helmed by promising young director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The director had recently met Vijay and pitched a subject. Apparently, the actor was highly impressed by the storyline and has asked to develop it.

It is said that Lokesh is planning an action film with Vijay in which he will be playing the role of a ruthless gangster. If things turn out as per plans, the film will start rolling by the end of this year. Vijay last played a similar role in ‘Thalaivaa’, which failed to reap the desired benefits. So the actor will be trying to make sure that this one hits the bulls eye. The official announcement is expected to be made on his birthday which falls on June 22.

Lokesh made his debut in 2017 with the surprise hit ‘Maanagaram’. The movie, which was a brilliantly made hyperlink thriller, had Sundeep Kishan, Regina Cassanadra and Sri in the lead roles. It emerged both as a critical and commercial success. Since then, Lokesh has been rated as one of the most promising new gen filmmakers in Tamil at present. Earlier, the director had also planned an action packed entertainer with Suriya but the project didn’t masterialize. It remains to be seen if he is reviving the same film with Vijay.

Meanwhile, shoot for Vijay-Atlee duo’s film is currently progressing at a brisk pace. As we already know, it is a sports based flick centred around woman’s football. Vijay plays a player-turned-coach in the movie. Nayanthara is paired with him. Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Induja, Varsha Bollamma, Reba Monica John, Yogi Babu, Vivek, Daniel Balaji and many others are part of the supporting cast. AGS Entertainment is producing the movie, which is slated for a grand Diwali release in October.

Gulabo Sitabo: Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana to star in October team’s next

Shoojit Sircar is one of the best directors in Bollywood at present. His collaboration with his trusted writer Juhi Chathurvedi has resulted in acclaimed films like ‘Vicky Donor’, ‘Piku’ and ‘October’. The writer-director duo are coming together once again for a fun filled entertainer titled ‘Gulabo Sitabo’. The movie will mark the first time coming together of Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khuranna. The makers have planned to start shooting in June an release it in November.

The movie was officially announced last day Taran Adarsh. He has tweeted,

It must be noted that Shoojit Sircar has earlier directed Ayushmann Khuranna in ‘Vicky Donor’ and Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Piku’. Both the films were huge hits and won three awards each at the National level. Expectations will naturally be high when Shooji Sircar brings Bachchan and Ayushmann together.

The director is currently working on ‘Sardar Udham Singh’ starring Vicky Kaushal. It is a film about Udham Singh, a revolutionary freedom fighter who assassinated Michael O’ Dwyer, the former lieutenant governor of Punjab in revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Shoot is currently underway and it will hit screens only after ‘Gulabo Sitabo’.
