Confirmed: Dulquer Salmaan in Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin George’s next!

Last few days social medias were abuzz with reports about Dulquer Salmaan and Jayaram teaming up for a mass entertainer. The duo was reported to be sharing screen space in writer duo Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin George’s next movie. However, only a part of that is true as it is a single hero subject.

Dulquer Salmaan has committed for the duo’s next film which is to be directed by a debutant filmmaker. Though there are reports about Bibin turning a director with this movie, nothing has been officially confirmed yet. The project is definitely on and they are planning to go on floors by December or early next year. A photo of Dulquer with Vishnu and Bibin are doing the rounds in social medias.

The duo have made a mark for themselves in the industry with their first two scripts – Amar Akbar Anthony and Kattapanayile Rithwik Roshan. Both the movies were directed by Nadirshah and both turned out to be big hits. Their next with Dulquer Salmaan is also expected to be on similar lines.

Dulquer has not done an out and out mass masala entertainer till now and this one will just be the perfect start he might have hoped for. An official announcement of the title along with other details regarding the cast and crew members are expected to be made very soon.

Dulquer is arguably the busiest Malayali actor currently. He has got several projects lined up, not just in Malayalam but in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi as well. He recently finished shooting for Karwaan, his Hindi debut also starring Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar in major roles. He will soon be joining the sets of his new Tamil movie to be directed by debutant Desingh Periyasamy. Lal Jose’s Oru Bhayankara Kamukan is also set to go on floors.

Take Off was widely acclaimed for its making and the performance of the lead actors. Kunchako Boban, Fahadh Faasil and Asif Ali essayed major roles in the movie which was inspired from real life events. It is a fictionalized account of the 2014 incident when a group of Indian nurses were held captive in the Tikrit region in Iraq.

Take Off was made as a tribute to late filmmaker Rajesh Pillai. Staying within the limited resources of Malayalam industry, the team delivered an incredible output. The movie featured some never before seen visual grandeur in a Malayalam movie. Since the subject discussed in the movie in was appealable to the national audience, the makers of Take Off were planning to remake the movie in a much bigger scale in Hindi.

However, they now seemed to have dropped the idea as Salman Khan’s upcoming release Tiger Zinda Hai (TZH) is also based on the some incident. The makers of TZH had kept the plot tightly guarded before revealing it with the recently released trailer. Salman and Katrina play anti-terrorist agents from India and Pakistan, respectively, in this sequel to their 2012 film Ek Tha Tiger. TZH is based on how these two agents rescue the nurses from the terrorists in Iraq. Several shots in movie’s trailer has strong resemblance to Take Off.
