Amazing makeovers for all the actors in Tiyaan

Tiyaan is one of the most anticipated Malayalam movies of the year. This big budget movie funded by Red Rose Creations has a host of actors as part of it’s cast. Prithviraj and Indrajith are playing the lead roles in this movie directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar.

Tiyaan, written by the multifaceted Murali Gopy is touted to be a socio-political drama set in the North Indian milieu. A striking aspect of this movie is the makeovers of the actors. Prithviraj will be seen in two different looks in the film; one as a fierce young man and the other as a matured person with a salt n pepper beard. He is playing the role of Aslan Mohammed while his brother Indrajith’s character is named as Pattabhiraman.

Murali Gopy has shaven his head and sports a new look to play the role of Ramkant Mahasay. After a brief gap, actress Ananya is making a comeback playing the role of Amba. Shine Tom Chacko will be seen as Jameel Askari, Padamapriya as Vasundhara Devi, Suraj Venjaramoodu as Jayanthan Nair, Bollywood actor Ranjeeth as Khan Sahib and Rahul Madhav as Anil Raghavan.

Tiyaan is said to be about the story of two youths who get caught in the religious clashes in North India. The team shot for months in North Indian locations like Varanasi, Ladakh etc. Huge sets resembling the North Indian locales were erected in the Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. They shot for around 100 days in different schedules there. The movie is scheduled to hit screens for the Eid season.

Mammootty about Pranav Mohanlal

Even before making his entry to the film industry, Pranav Mohanlal has scores of admirers. His simplicity, despite being the son of such a big superstar, has makes him hugely popular among the youngsters. Pranav, unlike the other celebrity kids, likes to be away from the limelight and be in his own space.

Recently, Mammootty talked about Pranav in an interview. Mammootty said, “For me, Pranav is just like my son Dulquer. He has a very peculiar character but is very innocent. Pranav should have entered the film industry much earlier but it could not happen due to many other reasons. Pranav will certainly carve a niche for himself once he enters the industry.”

Pranav is now prepping up to make his debut as a lead actor with Jeethu Joseph’s upcoming movie. The director had earlier informed that his film with Pranav will be an action thriller on the lines of his superhit movie Memories. The superstar’s son has been undergoing training in Parkour for playing his part in the film. It is a form of acrobatic physical training that involves crossing obstacles by running, climbing, jumping, rolling and swinging.

There are reports that the movie will be shot majorly outside Kerala on a budget of Rs 10 crores. An official word regarding when the movie will go on floors is still awaited. Mohanlal’s own production house Aashirvad Cinemas is producing this yet to be titled movie.

Dileep in Nadirshah’s next

Actor Dileep will be soon teaming up with his buddy Nadirshah for an upcoming movie. Both of them have been close friends from their mimicry days and have also acted together in several movies. Ever since Nadirshah made his directorial debut in 2015 through the multistarrer Amar Akbar Anthony, speculations have been rife about Dileep teaming up with the director.

Dileep had also co-produced Nadirshah’s second movie Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan, a sleeper superhit, released last year. Now finally the duo are joining together for a typical comedy entertainer. The movie is being written by Sajeev Pazhoor, who has also scripted Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming movie Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum.

If reports are to be believed, Dileep will be undergoing a physical makeover for this movie. He will be putting on some weight as his character demands a totally different look. Both Dileep and Nadirshah are currently in the US as part of a stage show.

After returning back, Dileep will join the final schedule of Kammarasambhavam in Theni. The movie, directed by noted ad filmmaker Ratheesh Ambat is written by Murali Gopy. Dileep will be seen in multiple looks. He is also sharing screen space with South Indian actor Sidharth in this movie.

Another movie waiting in the pipeline is Professor Dinkan. The movie, directed by cinematographer turned filmmaker Ramachandra Babu is a big budget 3D fantasy entertainer. Dileep’s next release will be Ramaleela, a political thriller written by Sachi and directed by debutant Arun Gopy. It is produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam, his next after the historic success of Pulimurugan.

Dileep- Nadirshah movie is expected to go on floors by the end of this year, once the actor completes all his prior commitments. The movie will be produced by the duo’s own banner Nad Group.

Magadheera’s collection was inflated; Producer released the fake collections: SS Rajamouli

SS Rajamouli is basking in the glory that his magnum opus Baahubali franchise has brought for him. The epic action drama has got a global recognition by doing massive business all across the globe. Rajamouli is one of the very few filmmakers who has continuously strived to try something new with all his movies.

His 2010 release Magadheera was his first attempt in making action period dramas on a big scale. The movie starring Ram Charan Tej in the lead was a massive success. However, there have been reports about Rajamouli unhappy with the movie’s producer Allu Aravind and that is the reason why the director did not attend the movie’s 100th day celebration event.

In a recent media interaction, Rajamouli himself clarified the existing rumours about Magadheera. The director said,

“While working with Allu Aravind for Magadheera, I had told him that I am not happy with fake box office figures and also with extension of the movie’s run even after it became a successful venture. So we agreed on certain terms and conditions. But later on, Allu Aravind went back on his words and there was an inflation of the collection numbers and a forceful extension in the number of days that the movie ran in theatres. I was not happy with Allu Aravind due to this inflation even after we had agreed on some terms. That is why I refused to attend the 100th day function of Magadheera. Eventhough 80 percent of the collections released were true, there was an inflation of up to 20 percent. This inflated number was my main concern and I thought it was a dishonest approach.”

Magadheera, written by Baahubali writer KV Vijayendra Prasad was about how two lovers meet after in another life. It had an unique plot about the reincarnation of two lovers and an evil guy who separated them in their last life. The movie, released in 2009 was one of the highest grossers in Telugu industry during that time.

I have been more Baahubali than myself in the last five years: Prabhas

After the massive success of the Baahubali franchise, Prabhas is now a nationwide sensation. The actor devoted five years of his life for Baahubali and now admits of having withdrawal symptoms.

It is not easy for any person to come out of something they have been doing for the past five years, forget about the larger than life image that Baahubali gave Prabhas. The actor himself said this in an interview to PTI.

Prabhas is quoted saying,
“It is always difficult to move on from something that you have been associated with for this long. In these five years, Baahubali has not been a part of my life, it has been my life. I have been more of Baahubali than my own self in these years. So, withdrawal symptoms are natural but what’s overpowering right now is all the love that people across the nation are showering on me.”

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, released on April 28 has been doing some tremendous business all across the globe. The overall box office figures amount to over Rs 1600 crores. The movie’s Hindi version recently created a new record by becoming the first ever Hindi film to earn Rs 500 crores.
It is the first Indian film to have collected Rs 500 crore in any Indian language in domestic market. Apart from this, the film has also become the first film to gross over Rs 300 crores in the twin Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

It’s a baby girl for Asif Ali!

Asif Ali and his wife Zama Mazreen have been blessed with a baby girl today. Asif shared the happy news with his fans and well- wishers through his official Facebook page. Asif Ali and Zama have a 3 year old son Adam Ali. The couple got married in 2013.

On the professional front, Asif Ali’s latest release Adventures Of Omanakuttan is getting good response from the audience after an inital set up. He has a string of exciting projects in his kitty.

This is the third such happy news coming in from the Malayalam cine fraternity within a month. Asif Ali’s colleagues Dulquer Salmaan and Nivin Pauly also became proud fathers to baby girls recently.
