Oppam Collection Report 30 Days | World Wide

While Pulimurugan is creating history here in Mollywood Box Office, Mohanlal’s previous release Oppam is also creating new records here in Mollywood.

Oppam released on the 8th September this year, had completed 30 days in screens here. It had become the biggest blockbuster in Mollywood this year and all set to become the highest grosser as well from here.

As per the latest collection report that is coming in from trade guides, the worldwide collection of the film had crossed 45 crore mark in box office. It will touch the 50 crore mark very soon and will become the 4th Malayalam movie to do so in Mollywood after Drishyam, Premam, Ennu Ninte Moideen and Two Countries.

The Kerala collection of the movie from 30 days is around 35 crore and from rest of India market, it had grossed around 3.5 crore as well. From UK and USA together, it grossed above 1 crore+ from just 7 days and from UAE, it had earned near 4.5 crore from just 3 days.

The figures from Canada, other European market and other GCC countries is not yet available and it will be updated very soon.

The rest of India figure also need updating and it is damn sure that the film had already grossed near 50 crore mark from its Worldwide run.

Taapsee Pannu learns Martial arts for Prithviraj’s Bollywood movie Naam Shabana

Actress Taapsee Pannu is learning martial arts for her new movie Naam Shabana directed by Shivam Nair. Naam Shabana is reportedly the prequel of super hit Bollywood movie Baby (2015) directed by Neeraj Pandey.

Baby had Akshay Kumar playing the lead role along wth Anupam Kher and Rana Daggubati. Taapsee Pannu also played an extended cameo in the movie.

Mollywood’s hot and happening star Prithviraj Sukumaran is said to be playing an important role in Naam Shabana. Prithviraj has earlier acted in 2 Bollywood movies.

His debut in Bollywood was Aiyaa opposite Rani Mukherjee and his second movie was Aurangazeb alongside Arjun Kapoor. His performance in the latter earned him critical acclaim.

Prithviraj will join in the second schedule of the movie and his portions will be shot in Malaysia. Manoj Bajpai is also playing an important role in the movie. There are unconfirmed reports about Akshay Kumar playing a brief cameo in Naam Shabana.

Taapsee meanwhile is learning mixed martial arts and a bit of Japanese martial art Aikido, apart from self-defense system Krav Maga for the movie.

Neeraj Pandey will be producing this action thriller under his banner Friday Film Works.

Pulimurugan had become a hurricane in all sense as the film is doing stunningly well all around Kerala and even outside the state. The flick had got fabulous mouth publicity and the box office collection is amazing.

Pulimurugan is re-writing history at Kerala box office and it had already created a number of records here including the highest first day grosser in Kerala.

Now, it had set another record as well and it is in Ernakulam multiplexes. The highest first weekend grosser from Ernakulam multiplexes among Malayalam films was Dulquer Salmaan starrer movie Kali, which got around 41 lakhs from its first 3 days.

Now, Pulimurugan had surpassed it and set a new record by earning close to 43 lakhs from its 3 days run there and that too from less number of shows. The occupancy level of Pulimurugan at Ernakulam multiplexes in its first 3 days was close to 100%.

On its first day, it had earned 15 lakhs+ and on its second day, it earned 13 lakhs+. On third day again, it had grossed close to 15 lakhs from there and the total figure from 3 days is around 43 lakhs as we mentioned above.

Mohanlal’s Oppam is still running there at Ernakulam multiplexes and it had grossed near 1.77 crore from there already in 32 day time.

Pooja releases in Mollywood are doing great in theaters here in Kerala and people are rushing to screens even at the midnight to watch movies. Mohanlal starer movie Pulimurugan is at the top one among the Pooja releases.

In mouth publicity as well as in box office collection, the film is cruising towards the all-time biggest success in Mollywood.

Record breaking number of shows are playing for the film every day and there are additional shows as well to accommodate the uncontrollable number of the crowd who is coming to watch Pulimurugan all over Kerala.

But the uncontrollable crowd creating lots of issues as well and today one man has got killed after an issue happened between few people in a theater premise. The issue happened at Changanassery Abhinaya Theater where Pulimurugan is playing.

A person named Manu Mathew has been stabbed to death and some reports says that earlier Manu Mathew had some issues with some people inside the parking area of the theater.

Later the issue got big and he got killed during a struggle which happened near the Bus stand there. Manu Mathew was the president of the Kerala Congress Area committee and some reports say that the issue has some political background behind it as well.

He is a native of Kilimala, Thrikkodithanam at Changanasserry. Confirmed reports about the reason for the brawl is not available as of now and police had started the investigation already.

Pooja releases had hit the screens here in Kerala from last Friday and all films are doing well here in Kerala now with great response from the audience. Mammootty-Johny Antony movie Thoppil Joppan, Mohanlal-Vysakh film Pulimurugan and Asif Ali-Thomas-Liju Thomas movie named Kavi Udheshichathu are the Pooja releases here.

Now, actor/director Sohan Seenulal who had played a character in Thoppil Joppan, come out through his Facebook page and claimed that Thoppil Joppan is at the top in the race among the Pooja releases here in Kerala.

But his post had become the reason for some fan fight as well. Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan is going great guns as well in Kerala making history at box office.

Because of that Sohan Seenulal’s post become a spot of fan fight between the ones who came to support him and the ones who came there expressing their disagreement to his post. Sohan had played an important character in the movie.

Thoppil Joppan is a family entertainer which has predominance to humor and Mammootty is playing an Achayan character in this movie. This is the 4th outing of director Johny Antony with Mammootty in the lead and it has been written by Nishad Koya.

Sohan Seenulal had directed a movie with Mammootty in the lead in 2011, named Doubles. He had acted in Nivin Pauly film Action Hero Boiju and Mammootty movie Puthiya Niyamam this year.

His performance in Action Hero Biju had got great appreciation as well.

Oppam, the Mohanlal starrer blockbuster had released in UAE on the 6th of October this year and it had taken a massive opening there. As per the reports that is coming from trade analysts, Oppam had grossed around 4.50 crore from just 3 days run there.

It is a massive figure and a record breaking opening as well. Oppam had released there in 69 screens and getting fabulous reception from there.

It even had a fan show in Bahrain and it was a record for Malayalam Cinema. If it goes like this, the film will easily cross 10 crore+ from there without taking much time.

Oppam is now the biggest blockbuster in Mollywood this year had raked in an amount close to 35 crore from Kerala alone in just 30 day time. From USA and UK, it had got above 1 crore from just 7 days run there.

The rest of India market also shows great response for the movie and reports say that it had grossed around 3.5 crore from the rest of India market in 30 day time.

Official figure from the rest of India market will come very soon. The figure from other European markets and GCC countries is not yet available and there too the film had reportedly got fabulous reception.

As of now, the flick had grossed close to 43 crore from its worldwide run and within a week or two, it will cross the 50 crore mark at Box office.

Megastar Mammootty is busy acting in his new movie The Great Father directed by debutant Haneef Adeni. The movie is said to be a crime thriller.

Trustworthy sources inform us that Mammootty is all excited about the movie and is very happy with how the movie is shaping up.

From the shooting spot stills Mammootty is seen in a stylish bearded getup. Prithviraj had shared some of the loaction stills on his facebook page where Mammootty is seen all upbeat and excited.

Mammootty usually shows great involvement in a movie only when he has high expectations about the project. The Great Father is one such project because it was materialized quickly postponing other movies to further dates.

Mammootty is playing a character called David in the movie. Kollywood actor Arya is also said to be playing an important role in this movie.

Arya is also co-producing this movie along with Santosh Sivan, Shaji Nateshan and Prithviraj under their banner August Cinemas.

Meanwhile, Mammootty’s latest release Thoppil Joppan is running successfully in theatres.

Ladies and children had accepted the movie with both hands and men are going crazy about the film and Mohanlal. Due to extra shows, late night shows and special shows, it is becoming a hard task for the team behind the movie to tally the exact earnings of the movie.

This is for the first time that Mollywood is witnessing such a frenzy for a movie. But trade analysts are trying to find out a figure close to the actual figure through their analysis of the response at screens here in Kerala.

On its first day, the film had grossed 4 crore+ as per reports and second day showed more rush than the first day. Based on the analysis of trade guides, the film had earned more than 8 crores in its first two days. This is not exact figures, but just an analysis. Actual figure will be more than this for sure.

There were close to 50 extra shows on its second day, which is more than the number of extra shows on first day. Screens are also increased at many centers to accommodate the crowd.

From Ernakulam Multiplexes alone, the film had grossed more than 28 lakhs from 2 days. At every screens here in Kerala, where the film is showing, it is creating new records.

The rest of India collection is not available but from rest of India market also, the film is receiving mind blowing response.

Asif Ali, Biju Menon and Narein teamed up for a rustic village entertainer in Kavi Udheshichathu. Due to the lack of a better story line and a strong technical support this has not been noticed by movie goers. Also the other biggies have taken up most of the theatres making it difficult for this mediocre movie .

Sivakarthikeyan starrer Remo is getting great response in Tamil Nadu. This romantic comedy flick was released in around 50 theatres in Kerala. Sivakarthikeyan enjoys a fair share of support in Kerala, and the movie is doing average business amidst all the massive Mollywood releases.

In Kerala, Puli Murugan had 30+ extra shows on day 1 of its release and on Day two, the extra shows are 40+. It has been phenomenal and this is not happened before in Malayalam film industry.
