Court issues notice for the makers of Adam Malayalam movie

Latest Malayalam movie, Adam has been in the news for sometime now. Adam is a movie based on the concept of Anti Christ. Movies based on Anti Christ is a rarity in Malayalam Cinema.

Earlier movies like Rain Rain Come Again had some characters sketched on the basis of the concept, but not entirely on this idea. Now Adam is again in the news but this time for wrong reasons. The makers of Adam are in legal trouble for hurting Christian religious beliefs and sentiments. The Honorable Munsif court of Paravur has issued a notice for the makers of Adam for the same.  MJ Vargheese hailing from Kothankulam has filed the complaint.

The court has issued notice to the director Zamar, Producer Jose, production controller Hochmin, District Collector and Chief Secretarty. The movie is slated to release on 30th of this month. Vargheese claims that the movie has scenes like standing on a Bible and damaging the statue of Jesus Christ, which apparently hurts the sentiments of the Christian community.

Vargheese has earlier filed a complaint to the district collector for stopping the release of the movie immediately. Since there was no settlement over the issue, Vargheese later filed a petition before the court.

Vargheese has submitted the trailer,official posters along with the complaint in the court. The court has issued notice to the concerned authorities asking for explanation regarding the issue. The case has been adjourned to October 4th.

Lucifer, the movie from Prithviraj Sukumaran starring complete actor Mohanlal is the talk of M-Town now as the young super star of Mollywood is making his debut as a director by directing a movie with the biggest Super Star of Mollywood. This flick has been scripted by Murali Gopi, who is one of the most followed and admired writer in M-town.

Reports says that the flick will start rolling from next year May or later and will hit the screens as an Onam or Deewali release in Mollywood. Fans and film lovers are eagerly waiting for the movie to start as well. Now, a celebrity also joined the list of people who are waiting for Lucifer and it is none other than Megastar Mammootty.

Reports are coming in that Mammootty had contacted Mohanlal, Prithviraj and Murali Gopi after hearing the news and conveyed his best wishes for the venture. Mammootty said to be appreciated Mohanlal for his decision to do a movie with Prithviraj and Murali Gopi who are the sons of yester rear Late Mollywood actors Sukumaran and Bharath Gopi respectively.

Both Mohanlal and Mammootty acted many movies with Sukumaran and Bharath Gopi and they shared a good relationship as well. Reports says that Mammootty had said that he is too waiting to watch this movie Lucifer, which will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.

This movie named The Great Father will hit the screens on this coming Christmas season and it has a great star cast in it to boast of. We had already reported you that popular Kollywood Star Arya is playing the villain in this movie and Kollywood actress Sneha is playing the female lead in it.

Baby Anikha also playing an important role in this flick along with the above mentioned ones. Now, as per the latest reports, Kammattipadam fame actor Manikandan Achari also playing an important character in this movie.

Manikandan Achari had become popular all over Kerala through his sterling performance in the Rajeev Ravi-Dulquer Salmaan movie named Kammatipaadam. His character named Balan was well received by the audience here and he is now getting lot of opportunities.

He is chosen as one of the main heroes of the upcoming movie named Ayal Jeevichirippund directing by Vyasan Edavanakkad. Apart from that, he is playing an important character in the movie named Basheerinte Prema Lekhanam starred by Farhan Fazil as well.

Oppam, the biggest blockbuster in Mollywood this year starring complete actor Mohanlal, had already amassed 26 crore+ from its 18 days run here in Kerala and now making waves in overseas market too. The film had released in UK, Ireland and New Zealand on the 23rd September and getting fantastic reception there.

Due to huge rush, people demanding extra shows for the movie there and in New Zealand, the distributors had already arranged extra shows in next weekend. Usually when Malayalam movies releases in New Zealand, they have only shows in weekend time. But due to great rush and reception, the overseas distributors of Oppam had decided to conduct regular shows there from the 29th of September.

Wow ! Pranav Mohanlal all set to make his debut as hero !

In UK and Ireland too, the flick has been getting fabulous reception. PJ Entertainments had released the movie there on the 23rd of September. The flick had amassed a figure of 32.3 Lakhs from its first weekend there and it is a fantastic opening for a Malayalam movie.

In UK and Ireland, the flick had released in 119 screens and it is a new record in Malayalam Cinema as well. Oppam will hit the screens in GCC market from the 29th of September and it is expected to make it big there.

In rest of India market too, the film is doing great. From Chennai alone, the film had earned 43 lakh+ from 17 days of its run there and entered in the Top 5 in Chennai Box office.

Kamal Haasan also praised Pranav Mohanlal after working with him in Papanasham as Kamal Haasan said that Pranav Mohanlal reminds him of his younger days. Kamal Haasan also said that Pranav Mohanlal has the talent in him to become a great actor and a great director.

If everything goes well, a happy news will come for Film lovers related to the grand entry of Pranav Mohanlal. After Dulquer Salmaan, Kalidas Jayaram and Gokul Suresh Gopi, another star kid is all set to make it big here in Mollywood.

Baby Prequel: Prithviraj starrer Bollywood movie, Naam Shabana had started rolling

Young Super Star of Mollywood, Prithviraj Sukumaran had acted in two Bollywood movies so far. One was titled as Aiyya, which had Rani Mukharjee in the lead role and another was the movie named Aurangazeb, in which Prithviraj had shared screen space with young Bollywood Star Arjun Kapoor.

In both those movies, Prithviraj had given a great performance and got very good appreciation from all around as well. Now his third Bollywood movie had started rolling and it has been titled as Naam Shabana.

This movie is the prequel of the Bollywood spy thriller named Baby which released last year. Neeraj Pandey had directed Baby with Akshay Kumar in the lead. Tapsee Pannu and Rana Daggubati also played important characters in it.

This film Naam Shabana has been written and directed by Shivam Nair and it has been produced by Neeraj Pandey. Akshay Kumar-Neeraj Pandey team had done 2 films together named Special 26 and Baby.

Akshay Kumar’s previous super hit Rustom was produced by Neeraj Pandey as well.

Oppam just took 13 days to surpass the total final Kerala gross of Nivin Pauly starrer movie Jacobinte Swargarajyam (22cr+) to become the highest grosser of this year. Jecobinte Swargarajyam had made it from 111 days run here in Kerala. Now, this flick Oppam is making records in every city of Kerala.

In Trivandrum city, Oppam had set some new records. From Trivandrum city alone, Oppam had grossed more than 1 crore from 17 days and it is the fastest Malayalam movie to gross more than 1 crore from Trivandrum.

It also become the first Malayalam movie to gross more than 50 lakhs from Ariesplex Multiplex complex. In Trivandrum, Oppam is running in Ariesplex Multiplex complex and single screens like Sreekumar and New.

From Calicut City, it had grossed above 66 lakhs from its 15 days run, from Calicut Radha alone it had grossed 46 lakh+ and from Calicut Film City it grossed around 19 lakh+, from Ernakulam Multiplex it had grossed 1.35 crore from just 17 days run and when we include the gross from Ernakulam Saritha theater to it, the flick had grossed near 1.80 crore from Ernakulam city.
