Marubhoomiyile Aana Review

Marubhoomiyile Aana is one of the major releases in Mollywood today and it had hit 93 screens here in all over Kerala . The flick has been directed by popular film maker VK Prakash and written by YV Rajesh. Popular actor Biju Menon had played the male lead in this movie which was produced by famous producer here in Mollywood, David Kachappilly. He had bankrolled this project under the banner of David Kachappilly Productions. The film had got the attention of the audience before its release itself through a hilarious trailer and also through a decent song video from it.

The film begins with the murder of a Malayali businessmen named Joy at Qatar. The plot of the movie revolves around an Indian Born Malayali Sheikh played by Biju Menon and the character played by Krishna Shankar named Suku. His father has been cheated by Kamalan played by Lalu Alex. Suku is in love with Kamalan’s daughter Keerthi. In order to get her and also to save his home from Kamalan, he smuggled something to Qatar. There he meets a Sheikh played by Biju Menon. On the way back to Kerala, he again meets the sheikh in the flight and decide to use him to make some money.

VK Prakash had given us some different movies in his career till now and he always love to conceive unique stories. This movie possess such a different storyline, but the director had failed to present the plot before us in a decent manner. The situations in the story felt clumsy and unconvincing. The writer and director never managed to present it in an interesting manner. They narration lacks pace and it made the audience to yawn inside the cinema hall. Some of the dialogues were hilarious, but most of them failed to generate any laughter.

The screenplay was below average from YV Rajesh. At many parts, it looked silly as well. VK Prakash tried to hold it all together. But failed miserably to make any impact. The performances from artists is the one point which made this movie a watchable one at parts. Biju Menon was hilarious. His dialogue delivery style was really stupendous and it was his performance that become the backbone of the narration of this plot.

Artists like Balu Varghese, Krishna Shankar, Harish Kanaran, Lalu Alex, Saju Navodaya, Samskrithi Shenoy, Rosin, Major Ravi, Sunil Sugatha etc also done a very good job in the movie. The DOP of this movie is Ajay David Kachappilly and he had impressed with his camera work. The frames were good for the theme of this movie. Music was composed by Ratheesh Vega and it was nit at all upto the mark. Lijo Paul edited the flick and he had done a decent job.

On the whole, Marubhoomiyile Aana is failed to impress the audience and it is more or less like a wasting your valuable time and money.

Popular mimicry artist and Mollywood actor Sagar Shiyas passed away today. He was 50 years old and was under the treatment for liver disease for last few days. He was in a private hospital at Chottanikkara at the time death and was admitted there 10 days back with severe liver disease.

He had become popular all over In Kerala through his mimicry programs and as a singer in parody cassettes. His unique voice gave him great popularity here and he had acted in many Mollywood films as well. His mimicry act as Super Rajinikanth was quite popular all over Kerala. He was a great fan of the super star as well.

He is a native of Muvattupuzha and the films which made him quite popular are Majadikkuru, Kannadi kadavathu, Bangalore days, Junior Mandrake etc. He had acted in movies like Kalyana Unnikal, Pancha pandavar, Manickyan, Mayavi, Koottukar, Kohinoor, Amar Akbar Anthony etc.

Sagar Shiyas was active in mini screen too. He had acted in many Television comedy programs and came as guest in programs like Cinema Chirima in Mazhavil Manorama. He also worked as an anchor for many mimicry related programs in mini screen. 2016 is been a worst year for Mollywood as many people from the industry passed away this year. Last day, popular director Sasi Shankar also passed away.

It will be an important day for Jayasurya as he needs a solo super hit very badly and everyone is waiting to see whether he gets one tomorrow or will he score a double tomorrow.

He does good movies at right interval of time. But never been able to make a big impact at box office. He only has some solo hits like Punyalan Agarbattis (2013), Janapriyan (2011), Ivar Vivahitharayal (2009) in his career.

Let’s hope that this Friday will bring great luck to this actor and both his movie become a success at box office.

Vismayam / Manamantha satellite right sold for a stunning price

Mohanlal starrer Vismayam (Manamantha) had got great appreciation from the viewers from all over. The film is doing a decent business now in box office even though there is a drop in collection once the working days got started after the weekend in Kerala. The Telugu version too doing good now after a slow start there.

Now, a report is coming in from sources, which says that the film had got a great satellite right for its Malayalam and Telugu version and it was bought by Star Group. As per reports, Star group had bought the satellite right of this bilingual movie for a price of 6.8 crore rupees. The film will be telecasted in Maa TV (Telugu version) and Asianet (Malayalam version). The talks are going on, related to the satellite rights of the Tamil version.

Now, it is almost sure that the film will mint an amount around 10 crore rupees from its satellite rights alone. The total budget of the film, including print, publicity and dubbing cost in 3 languages, is 14 crores.

The film had earned more than 3 crore rupees from its 6 days run from Kerala and it is a very good figure for a bilingual movie. The flick was scripted and directed by Chandra Sekhar Yeleti and produced by Sai Korapatti. Mohanlal has been getting stunning reception from the Telugu audience and they are showering praises on him as well for his terrific performance as Sai Ram in this movie.

Palakkad Assistant Collector Umesh Kesavan’s Facebook post about the living condition in Attappady and the reach of Vijay there is going viral in social media now. He said that the people there had no connection with the outer world. They have no roads, street lights, toilets. They don’t know what happening outside their world and they only knows Vijay and he is the only one who have a reach there. Umesh Kesavan is a Tamil Nadu native and now he is working as the assistant collector of Palakkad District.

He had visited Attappady area to study about the education, life style etc of the people there. After visiting the place where tribal people lives, he had posted about their condition. He said that there were no roads and street lights in their place. Toilets were nowhere to be seen.

When asked about their toilets, someone said that the hills around their area is the toilets for them. Children not going to school and they thinks that it is a waste of time. No development programs from Government reached there, but Vijay reached there through his movies. Umesh Kesavan says that he had contacted Vijay’s office and invited him to that village.

Now, a report coming in that the life story of the Super Star may be made in to a movie. He has millions of fans all over the world and everybody is now very excited after hearing this news.

His daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth is behind this movie plan. Now, Aishwarya is writing a book about her father Rajinikanth’s life and they told in a recent media interview that they are thinking about making it into a movie. Rajinikanth will act in that movie as well, says reports.

The August first week releases in Mollywood is doing good at box office and it is a great thing that small movies doing well at box office with good reviews coming in from all corners. The three films which released here in August first week are Mohanlal starrer Vismayam, Sunny Wayne starrer Ann Maria Kalippilaanu and Master Chethan-Tovino Thomas starrer Guppy. Among these films both Vismayam and Ann Maria Kalippilaanu is going great at box office with superb reviews from all over. Guppy got decent reviews, but in box office it had made only an average business till now.

Vismayam is the bilingual movie of Mohanlal, directed by Chandrashekhar Yeleti, which originally made in Tollywood. It had a Tamil version as well. Mohanlal’s part had made in Malayalam and other artist’s portion were dubbed in Malayalam language, except that of Joy Mathew and P Balachandran.

The movie had got splendid reviews from all over and in collection too it is leading among the three August releases. It had got around 3 crore rupees from here and that too in 5 day time. Ann Maria Kalippilaanu is directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas and it is a light hearted comedy entertainer which had Sunny Wayne and Baby Sara Arjun in the lead role. The film had got very good reviews from all over and in box office too this film is showing very good performance. From 5 days run, it had grossed around 2 crore rupees from here.

Singam 3 distribution rights sold for record price in Kerala

Kollywood actor Suriya is all set to roar again as Durai Singam and his third movie in the Singam series had entered in its final stage of production. The film is in its last schedule of filming and the whole crew is working in brisk pace to make the movie to be ready for release by this December. But even before confirming the release date of the movie, it is making records all over with its pre-release business.

The film had made a record for Suriya films in Kerala by bagging a record amount as distribution rights. Sopanam Entertainments had bought the distribution rights of Singam 3 for a price of 5.3 crore and it is a record here when we consider the previous Suriya movies which released here in Kerala.

Suriya’s last movie 24 was also released here by Sopanam Entertainments. We have to consider the risk factor in this move as the best share got by a Suriya movie till now from Kerala is 4 cr+ by 24 movie this year.

The film had said to be raked in an amount around 100 crore rupees by selling its distribution rights at various states. The audio right, overseas right and satellite rights also fetched good money for this flick.

Now, Jibu Jacob is busy with filming of his second venture, which is not titled yet. Jibu Jacob says that it was a dream come true for him to do a movie with Mohanlal. Jibu is mesmerized by the acting of Mohanlal and said that this actor is astonishing him each and every moment he performs in front of the camera.

Jibu Jacob says that he had never ever seen an actor like Mohanlal who completely submits himself before the director. A director can ask him anything and he will give it perfectly for you.
