Premam to speak French now

If the reports coming in are to be believed, Alphonse Puthren–Nivin Pauly movie Premam, which is the second biggest worldwide grosser in Mollywood will soon speak French language as well. As per reports the film will be dubbed in French language and the right has been already sold. 10 Lakh is said to be the price for which the rights were sold.

The movie had made a string of records last year, still continues to be a news maker here in Mollywood. This Alphonse Puthren directed, Edited and Scripted movie become the biggest hit in Nivin Pauly’s career till now and it ended up as the second biggest worldwide grosser in Mollywood, right behind Mohanlal starrer Drishyam. The official announcement regarding the French dubbed version of the movie is expected to come soon.

The flick had a run of more than 250 days in Tamil Nadu as well and it helped Nivin to get great number of followers there in Kollywood. The film had been remade to Telugu with the same title and the Telugu version with Naga Chaithanya in the lead will hit the screens soon. The film had celebrated its first anniversary on May 29 this year and at some screens here in Kerala, the movie has been got a re-release as well to celebrate the first anniversary.

Actresses like Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameshawaran had made their debut here through this movie and artists like Siju Wilson, Sharafudeen, Soubin Shahir and Vinay Fort also got a great break in their career through this film.

Mohanlal-Priyadarshan team’s upcoming movie Oppam is in its post-production stage now and it will hit the screens on September 8 as per reports, as an Onam release of Mohanlal. Antony Perumbavoor bankrolled this movie under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas and Maxlab will distribute this flick. There were reports that the trailer of this movie will be attached to the Super Star Rajinikanth movie Kabali, which will hit the screens on this July 22.

Kabali is releasing here by Mohanlal and his Aashirvad Cinemas through Maxlab will distribute Kabali on July 22, in 250 screens here in Kerala. So, the chances are there that Oppam theatrical trailer will be there with Kabali. Now, another big news is coming in which says that Premam director Alphonse Puthren is editing the trailer of Oppam.

Mohanlal is playing a blind man named Jayaraman in this movie, which will be a crime thriller. Vimala Raman and Anusree are playing the lead female characters in this flick.

Kasaba Collection Report – 9 Days

Mammootty movie Kasaba which released on July 7th this year had completed its first week run 2 days before. After completing 9 days of run here in Kerala, the movie had raked in amount near 10.44 crore. The 9th day gross of the film was rupees 41 lakhs. In its first week, the flick had got a total gross around 9.54 crore and on its 8th day it got around 49 lakhs as well.

It had got more than 1.5 crore consecutively in its first 4 days and later the collection dropped below 1 crore. As the working days started, the collection started dipping and it is now going down in a constant rate. It is a natural phenomenon in box office when a movie comes out from its weekend to the working days. The rush decreases, specially for Noon shows and Matinees on the working days and it affects the movie.

Kasaba had got mixed reviews from all over, even though Mammootty fans had celebrated the movie very well. Nithin Renji Panicker had written and conceived this mass movie, which is bankrolled by Alice George under the banner named Goodwill Entertainments. Rahul Raj had tuned the songs and background score of this flick and Sameer Haq cranked the camera.

Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar and Neha Saxena played the female leads in this flick whereas Sambath played the antagonist.

She had posted one of her old school report card on her Facebook page few days back. She said that when she and her mom was going through some old report cards, they found this. Her mom was very proud to see it again and she was surprised. So, she posted it in her official Facebook page for her followers.

It was the report card of her 10th standard, which she completed during the academic year of 2001-2002. Then she posted some more such report cards as well. The 10th Mark list of her says that Samantha was one of the bright students in her school. Her class teacher had written a great remark about her in that report card. Her class teacher said that Samantha had done very well in her exams and she is an asset to their school. She had got more than 80% marks in all subjects and got 100% in mathematics.

Chandramukhi 2 started rolling

Chandramukhi was the blockbuster Tamil film starred by Super Star Rajnikanth, Jyothika, Nayan Thara etc and it was directed by popular South Indian director P Vasu in 2005. It was the official Tamil remake of Malayalam blockbuster named Manichithra Thazhu directed by Fazil and starred by Mohanlal.

Now, P Vasu is coming with another remake which is said to be the sequel of Chandramukhi. But there will not be Rajnikanth in it. This film will have Raghava Lawrence and Irudhi Sutru fame actress Ritika Singh in lead roles. The film had already started rolling from July 14.

The film which titled as Chandramukhi 2 as of now is a remake of the Kannada movie named Shivalinga which was directed by P Vasu himself. In Kannada version, the lead role was played by Shivaraj Kumar. Shivalinga is based on a detective who tries to crack a murder case whose only witness is a dove and the film tells how the murder case was resolved by the detective.

P Vasu said that he wanted a fresh face to do the female lead in this movie and that is why he chose Ritika Singh. She is relatively fresh here in Kollywood as she had done only one movie, which had won her the national award as well. P Vasu told her to make her dancing skills better to match up to Raghava Lawrence who is a terrific dancer.

Nivin Pauly is now busy with his Tamil film directing by Gautham Ramachandran and after finishing it, he will join the second schedule of his Malayalam movie directed by Sidharth Siva. After that he will start the filming of Althaf directorial movie which will be a complete family entertainer. The movie was earlier planned to begin in this year May, but postponed due to Nivin Pauly’s other commitments and also due to some changes in the screenplay as per reports.

The latest news related to this Althaf movie says that popular Malayalam actor Lal has been roped in to play the father character of Nivin Pauly in this movie. Lal was away from his acting career for last few months as he was busy with his project King Liar with Dileep in the lead. Even though he had acted in it , he did not gave his dates for other films. King Liar released in this year April and become a super hit at box office.

Now, he is coming back to his acting career after a short break with this Nivin Pauly- Althaf movie. Lal said that it is a really good character that they had offered and that is why he agreed to play it. Lal will be a part of the movie Honey Bee 2 as well which will be directed by his son Jean Paul Lal.

Lal will be seen in Mohanlal starrer Puli Murugan up next, which he had completed earlier this year. He will have a directorial venture as well with Jayasurya in the near future.

Farhan Fazil and Sana Althaf playing the lead roles in this movie and it will be the second movie of Farhan Fazil after the critically acclaimed Rajeev Ravi movie named Njan Steve Lopez.

Farhan Fazil shared the first look poster this new film and said that unlike Njan Steve Lopez, which was a serious movie, this one will be a cute romantic comedy film set in the period 1980’s. He expressed his hope that everybody will love this movie.

After playing Fahad’s heroine in that movie, now she is playing the female lead of his younger brother Farhan in this flick by Aneesh Anwar. In between these two movies, she had played a a small character in Aashiq Abu directorial movie Rani Padmini as well.

The screenplay of this movie has been written by the trio Shinod, Shamseer and Bipin and the movie is produced by Fort entertainments. Aneesh Anwar had earlier directed movies like Zakariyayude Garbhinikal and Kumbasaram which had won great critical appreciation.
