Remo, this Kollywood flick starring Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh got all the attention from the audience due to one factor. In this upcoming Tamil movie, Sivakarthikeyan is playing a female and that too of a nurse. It is a romantic comedy flick written and directed by Bhagyaraj Kannan and produced by RD Raja under the banner of 24 AM Studios.

This is the first production venture of RD raja under 24AM Studios, who had roped in Mollywood stars like Fahad Fazil and Nivin Pauly respectively for their 2nd and 3rd production ventures, which will be conceived by Mohan Raja and Prabhu Radhakrishnan. Sivakarthikeyan will play the lead in Mohan Raja movie while Fahad will play the villain in it.

The first look poster and the making video of this movie Remo had already went viral in social media and the video which shows how they transformed Sivakarthikeyan in to a female, is really attracting the viewers. The film will hit the screens in this coming September and the team behind the movie told that there will be a big announcement today at 5 PM in the evening, related to the movie.

Anirudh Ravichandar had scored the music for this film. This is the second film in which Keerthy Suresh is playing the female lead of Sivakarthikeyan. They had acted together in Rajni Murugan which had become a super success at box office earlier this year. Sivakarthikeyan said to be coming in an older man get up as well in this flick named Remo.

Unni Mukundan playing the character of Mohanlal’s character’s son and he said to be the main villain in this movie as well, who stands opposite the mass combo of Mohanlal and Jr NTR.

Now, a fight sequence from his Malayalam movie Style is been uploaded in YouTube with the title Janata Garage villain Unni Mukundan’s fight from the movie style, by Tollywood movie lovers and it had already crossed 18 lakhs views in YouTube. The fight sequence video is getting mass response from Tollywood film lovers and they are now eagerly waiting to see him on the screen with Jr NTR. The fight sequence seems to have made great impact among the Telugu audience.

Style is directed by Binu S and it had released in this year January in Mollywood. Even though the film was a box office flop, the fight sequences of Unni Mukundan had got great response and appreciation from people here. It was Mohanlal who suggested Unni Mukundan’s name to act in Janata Garage and the film will hit the screens on August 12.

The Malayalam (Dubbed version)and Telugu teasers of this film had already created new records in YouTube and the anticipation level is damn too high.

Popular Mollywood actor Chemban Vinod is all set to make his debut as a director here in Mollywood very soon. As per the reports coming in from sources in the industry, the actor will soon wear the director’s cap and the script work of this upcoming movie is going on. The film will be based on a real life incident that happened in Ankamaly, which is the native place of Chemban Vinod.

It will be a comedy thriller movie and it will have Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Sharafudeen (Girirajan Kozhi), Sudhi Koppa etc playing the key roles in it. More details about the cast and crew of this upcoming movie is not yet available and once it is available, we will update it to you.

Mammootty’s latest release Kasaba is almost completed its first week and it is doing a decent show at theaters here in Mollywood. The film had took a fabulous opening on its first weekend by collection 7.36 crore from a 4 day weekend window it got. It had made an opening day record by collecting around 2.48 crores and later grossed around 1.5 crore on its second and third day consecutively. The second day figure was 1.49 crore and the third day figure was 1.59 crore. On its fourth day (Sunday), it had a better show at box office and earned rupees 1.8 crore.

From 5th day, the working days had started and as expected, the film showed drop in its box office figures from Monday. On Monday, it had raked in 82 lakhs and on Tuesday, the 6th day, it had got 75 lakhs as well. Thus, the total 6 day figure earned by the movie is 8.93 crore.

The 7 day collection record in Mollywood belongs to Premam as it had touched the 10 crore mark in 7 days. It is unlikely that Kasaba will surpass that record as the working days had showed constant drop in collection for this movie.

But the film is doing a decent business on working days as well considering the mixed word of mouth which spread for the movie. Family audience had begun to accept it as per reports from some areas and if the movie can maintain that pull from families, then it will reach to a safe margin in box office before completing two weeks.

The flick which released on April 8 this year had got great reviews from the word go and become a blockbuster success among the Vishu releases in Mollywood.

The film grossed 20 crore from Kerala alone and become Nivin Pauly’s 4th consecutive movie to gross more than 20 crore rupees and also to complete 100 days of theatrical run here in Kerala. The final Kerala gross of this film is 23.2 crore and it is the biggest success in Mollywood this year.

Renji Panicker, Sreenath Bhasi, Aima Sebastian, Sai Kumar, TG Ravi, Ashwin, Reeba etc played important characters in this film which is made based on a real life incident. Director and writer of this movie, Vineeth Sreenivasan too played a cameo in this flick. Renji Panicker had played the title character of Jacob and Nivin Pauly played his elder son in this movie.

Shan Rahman composed the music for this film and Aju Varghese who worked as an assistant director to Vineeth Sreenivasan in this movie played a cameo in it as well. Nivin Pauly’s first movie in this year, named Action Hero Biju also was a blockbuster.

The latest rumor that is doing its round in Malayalam film industry that Super Star Mohanlal and hit maker Shafi is all set to join hands for the first time in their career. Even though there is no official confirmation regarding these reports, but it says that Shafi got Mohanlal’s dates for a comedy thriller which will be produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner of Galaxy Films.

If it is true, then it will be Mohanlal’s second association with Galaxy Films after the blockbuster success of Run Baby Run directed by Joshiey in 2012. Reports says that the screenplay of the film will either be written by Rafi or Benny P Nayarambalam. There are rumors that Benny P Nayarambalam will write the screenplay for this movie based on the story written by Rafi. Rafi may be busy with his directorial venture with Fahad Fazil in the lead at that time and that is why they had roped in Benny P Nayarambalam to write the screenplay for this Mohanlal-Shafi project.

Rafi and Mohanlal had joined earlier for Hello and China Town which were blockbusters of 2007 and 2011 respectively. Those films were written and directed by Rafi-Mecartin duo. Benny P Nayarambalam had earlier written Chotta Mumbai directed by Anwar Rasheed for Mohanlal, which is a super successful film as well released in 2007.

Now, he is writing the script for Mohanlal-Lal Jose Movie in which Mohanlal plays a college lecturer. This movie also begin filming next year produced by Mohanlal’s own production company Aashirvad Cinemas.

Veteran director Ranjith Balakrishnan is all set to strike back with super star movies as he had roped in Mega Star Mammootty and Super Star Mohanlal for his two upcoming movies. Ranjith’s previous outing Leela with Biju Menon in the lead, was a box office flop. But it got good reviews from critics. Before that he had got average box office success with Mohanlal movie Loham, but it got only mixed response and Ranjith faced a lot of criticism as well for making that movie.

So he wants to be in the scheme of things again and roped in his two great friends, the ones who always given great successes to him, Mohanlal and Mammootty in his upcoming projects.

His next film will be with Mammootty and he started writing the screenplay of this movie as per reports. It will be a very different one from his recent flicks. Some reports also said that it will be a satirical film movie like Spirit, which he made with Mohanlal in the lead in 2012.

Sai Pallavi, the Mollywood actress who shot to fame all around South India with the success of the movie Premam, making news now for turning down an offer from Kollywood and that too a very big offer. As per latest reports that coming in, she had turned down an offer to share screen space with Thala Ajith Kumar in his upcoming movie, which is tentatively titled as Thala 57.

Sai Pallavi had turned down the offer due to her other commitments and she has been reportedly given her dates to a Telugu Film earlier this year. It will be film directed by Shekhar Kammula and even before the makers of Thala 57 approached her with their offer, she had committed to that Telugu project.

Thala 57 has officially launched recently and will start rolling soon. Earlier names like Anushka Shetty, Kajal Agarwal, Kriti Sanon, Ritwika Singh etc were come up to play the female lead in this movie, which is not yet finalized. Siva will be directing this movie as per reports and there were some rumors going around that Atlee may deal this project and Amitab bachchan may bankroll this movie, under his banner of ABCL as well. But those are just rumors as of now and no confirmation had come yet.

Sai Pallavi had acted in Malayalam movie Kali this year with Dulquer Salmaan and it was a box office success in Mollywood.

Puli Murugan, which is touted as the biggest film in Mohanlal’ career had wrapped up its filming in this June. Even though they wanted to release the movie in this July, due to the delay in finishing up the final schedule of the movie, they postponed the release date. Some reports came that it may release in August and some other reports said that it will be an October release.

But, now a report coming in which says that the movie will only hit the screens in Next year and as per unofficial reports, Puli Murugan will hit the screens here only on January 1st next year, as a New Year release.

The heavy post-production works which needs lots of time making the team behind the film to postpone the date of its release indefinitely. The film will be dubbed in to 7 languages and it will have some works in the graphics department as well. It will take time as they wants it to be perfect. It is the most anticipated movie now in Mollywood and will be a record release here. Tomichan Mulakupadam produced this movie which is directed by Vysakh. Udaya Krishna written the screenplay of this flick and Peter Hein choreographed the stunt sequences. Apart from Mohanlal, artists like Lal, Jagapathi Babu, Siddique, Kishore, Makarand Deshpande, Kamalini Mukharjee, Suraj Venjarammoodu etc playing prominent roles in this movie.

The popular serial actress named Gayathri Arun, who become popular all over Kerala through the super hit character named Deepthi IPS, is going to make her big screen debut very soon. She had played the character named Deepthi IPS in the popular Television serial named Parasparam. She is making her Mollywood debut through the movie Sarvopari Palakkaran, which will have Anoop Menon playing the male lead. She will be playing a police character in her first movie too. Gayathri Arun will be playing the role of an Assistant Sub Inspector named Chandra Shivakumar in this movie.

Anu Sithara and Aparna Balamurali playing prominent roles in this movie along with Anoop Menon and debutant Venugopal is directing this movie. Earlier popular actress Honey Rose was roped in to play the female lead in the movie and later she was replaced by Aparna Balmurali.

S Suresh Babu wrote the screenplay of this movie in which Anoop Menon is playing a police officer named Jose K Mani, who is a special Branch CI Aparna Balamurali’s character will be of an activist who takes part in Kiss of Love campaign. The movie travels through the relationship that happens between the above mentioned two characters. The film will start rolling in this coming August.

Anoop Menon will have a release this month named Pava and his Karinkunnam Sixes is running successfully now as well. He will join the Jibu Jacob movie soon which has Mohanlal in lead role.
