Oru Mexican Aparatha all set to present the Vintage Maharajas College before us

The upcoming movie, Oru Mexican Aparatha will start rolling soon and it will be directed by the debutant Tom Emmatty. The film made news with its star cast which include young star Tovino Thomas (Ennu Ninte Moideen fame) and Sphadikam fame actor/director Roopesh Peetambaran.

After playing the childhood of the epic Mohanlal character named Aadu Thoma in Sphadikam, Roopesh Peetambaran not acted in any movies. So this movie will be his comeback to silver screen. He had directed two movies in Malayalam later, titled Theevram with Dulquer Salmaan and You Too Brutus with Asif Ali, Tovino Thomas and Sreenivasan. Now, this upcoming project making news with the setting it has. The team behind the film is all set to present before us, the vintage Maharajas College.

The story of the flick is set in the golden era of Maharajas College, which is one of the most popular arts colleges in Kerala. Maharajas has a rich history. A lot of prominent figures in Kerala had studied here and this college was instrumental in shaping up many political leaders as well as many artists. The team behind the film wants to tell about that nostalgic story of Maharajas.

For that purpose, they invited fresh faces who can play the characters in the film which is based on the 1970’s in Kerala. The response was stunning as they got more than 50 fresh faces who came for audition wearing dresses that reminds us of the era of 1970’s.

Oru Mexican Aparatha team said that they got the fresh faces whom they wanted to play the 1972 batch of Maharajas College and will invite more fresh faces to act in the movie very soon, for playing another batch of students in Maharajas, during that golden period.

Nithin Renji Panicker says that he is ready to face any legal procedures against his movie. But, before doing that against a movie, they have to think about whether they are resolving the issues that happening against women in our society or not, says Nithin Renji Panicker.

He said that Mammootty is not a person who insults women in real life. But the character he played in this film is not a good person. We can’t create every characters in a movie as noble people. It the freedom of a filmmaker to create a character who is good or bad according to the plot.

Sultan, the Salman Khan starrer proves to be the Sultan of Box office in India. This Ali Abbas Zafar directorial movie which released on the Eid day had completed 5 days of its box office run in India and created a new history here. It had collected 30 crore+ in five consecutive days from India alone. The trade guides says that the film is all set to sweep off all the records in Indian Box office that is existing now.

It is doing great in overseas market as well and as per reports, it had got more than 70 crores from its overseas market in 5 days as per early estimates, which is likely to go higher after verification. On its first day (Wednesday), it had got 36.65 crore from India. It was the biggest opening day figure in India this year.

Then, on its second day (Thursday) it got around 37.32 crores from here. The third day (Friday) contributed rupees 31.67 crores and on the fourth day (Saturday), the film had collected around 36.62 crores. On its fifth day, which was a Sunday, the flick had raked in an amount near 38.21 crores and the total figure from India had crossed 180 crores. From 5 days, the flick had touched 250 crore mark as well from its total worldwide collections.

Trade analysts are calling the movie a monstrous hit and according to them, Sultan had raised the bar for Hindi Films in terms of box office business. It is now all set to cross 200 crore from India alone in just 6 days of time as well.

It will release in 5000 screens all over the world as well and will hit the screens in 50 countries in the world.

On that day, it will be a special occasion for Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay also. Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay, who is a diehard Rajnikanth fan, will celebrate the success of his film Theri which will complete its 100 days of run on July 22.

Kabali censoring was over last day and it had got a clean U certificate from the censor board of film certification. The film will have a length of 2 hour and 32 minutes and everybody hoping that it will become the second blockbuster success in Kollywood this year after Theri.

At first there were reports from screens that family support was not there for the movie because of the presence of lot of double meaning dialogues in it and the film got the U/A certificate.

But, after the first few days, reports coming from some centers that family audience had slowly started accepting the movie as families had started to come to watch this movie. It is a very good news for the team behind the film. If Family audience starts coming in more numbers for this movie, it will do good to its long run prospect. Kasaba, the Mammootty starrer had completed 5 days in Kerala Box office and this Nithin Renji Panicker scripted and directed movie had took a superb opening in its first weekend. The film had made a first day collection record by earning 2.48 crores on its opening day and later made near 1.5 crores in its second, third and fourth day consecutively.

But, on the fifth day, the collection is dropped by big margin and the 5th day figure is around 82 lakhs for the movie. 5th day was a Monday and it is a working day as well. It seems that the working days had started to take a toll on the box office run on the movie from its first Monday itself.

On its second day it got around 1.49 crores and on its 3rd day it raked in an amount near 1.59 crores. The fourth day was a Sunday and on that day it is reported that the movie grossed around 1.8 crores rupees which took its total figure to 7.36 crore from its first weekend. Now, after the confirmation of 5th day collection, the total figure earned by the movie as of now is around 8.18 crores.

Nivin Pauly starrer Premam had earned around 10 crores in its first seven days and people are waiting to see whether Kasaba will be able to match that figure.

Salman Khan starrer movie Sultan is breaking all box office records in Bollywood now. Last day Aamir Khan predicted that Salman’s Sultan will break the collection record set by PK, which is the biggest ever success in Indian Cinema. PK has a total figure around 750 crores from its worldwide run.

Sultan had now crossed the 250 crore mark from its worldwide run and that too in just 5 days. This Ali Abbaz Zafar directorial movie had got wonderful response from critics and common mass alike and the great word of mouth which spread from July 6th, bringing more and more people to the screens.

On its first day, the film had earned 36.65 cores from India. The overseas market had given the film 20.5 crore on its first day. The second and third day domestic collections of the film was 37.32 crore and 31.66 crore respectively. The fourth day again showed a hike in collection as it was a Saturday. On Fourth day the film had earned above 37 crores. Fifth day was a Sunday and the flick earned close to 40 crore on that day to take its domestic collection to 180 crore+ from 5 days.

The overseas market also contributed handsomely and as per early estimates the film had raked in an amount near 70 crores from overseas market in 5 days as well and thus the total 5 day figures of the film had crossed 250 crores. Salman is the real Sultan of Bollywood box office indeed.

But the surprise in this news is that Amitabh Bachchan is not going to act in this movie, but he will produce this one under his production banner ABCL. Amitabh Bachchan had earlier produced a movie named ullasam with Ajith and Vikram in the lead years back, but it was a failure at box office.
